Hi there
I have a Hudl which was running Tunnelbear VPN perfectly fine, but I did a factory reset and google play now says "not compatible with your device". I've contacted Tunnelbear who says Android 4.2.2 is supported so they don't know why Google Play is giving this message.
I installed Tunnelbear on my Pixel2 and extracted the APK which I put on the Hudl, but each time I try to use it, it crashes and says the app has closed.
I am at my wits end. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jonny

Hi there.
I have an issue trying to install Google Play Services in the GP 5.0, am using the rom chip 1.5, and for some reason when I try to install it, it says " Incompatible with other application(s) using the same shared user ID", and I dont know what to do, because the new version of youtube needs this app to run properly.
I wipe data, no luck, then i reinstalled the rom, nothing, and now I cant install youtube, it says "incompatible version". I tried to install Google Play Services manually with not luck, it says "not installed".
If there is anyone with the fix, i will appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance, best regards.
Where's the resolving answer?

I've got the same problem and i can't find info about resolving this problem. Without installing Google Play Services I'm not able to use Google+ app and can't update Youtube app and Google Talk to Hangouts. If someone knows how to fix it, please bring the info into this topic or locate the link to resolving answer.

I am running the MIUI port of polimorph on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859716.

The problem comes when i install Google+ or Google keep. The phone just crash when i try to open one of those. so i read some post and in all suggest that i have to install Google play service but when i try to install it, the phone show me an error: error incompatible with other applications using the same shared user id.
Plz help don't know what to do.
First, please forgive my lack of knowledge in this area and I truly thank you for taking the time to read my post. My problems were caused when an idiot friend of mine rooted my gpad 8.0 and went on a deleting spree. He totally removed anything with the name "google" as well as a host of other things I don't even know of. Here's my major issues...
1) All Google service including the play store app was deleted so I tried using the play store website which only says "no device found" or "you don't have any devices."
2) When I try adding any type of account to tablet I get box stating "Unfortunately unified EULA has stopped."
3) When I try opening files to help me fix the problem I only get a box reading "cannot open file" or "not supported."
I have done the factory reset and it does not help restore any of the removed items. Am I fighting a losing battle or or is there a way to put the google functions back into it?

All you have to do is install Gapps on your device.
There are many Gapps packages(Google apps) from basic to full function Gapps.
You can visit the opengapps website and download Gapps package you require and flash then using recovery.(assuming you have root and a custom recover installed)
Unlike others apps you cannot install Google apps from apk( apps like Google play store and play servics)
I'm pretty sure this will solve your problem
Please thank this post if this helps you my goal is to become the youngest senior developer on XDA.
Thank you, I should have mentioned there is no recovery installed on the tablet. In the days since I posted my question I did install Gapps but I haven't been able to do anything with it.

That's fine, then the safest way, is to install a stock recovery image of you stock OS. This will be available on your devise's forum. After acquiring the file, you'll need to reboot into Download Mode and install it.(there are different methods for different brands, you can surely find how to install a stock recovery,on your devise's forum.)
Please note that this will erase everything on your device, so consider taking a backup before restoring stock image. This WILL definitely fix it.
I have honor 7 play dua-al00. I want to install google play. After doing all the procedure google play fails
I have the same problems. Up till now I still cannot find a resolution. Can anyone here please advise? I downloaded and installed the latest suitable Google Service and Google Play Store. I ran the Google Play APP and it just crashed and closed. Urgent. Thank you.
Did u find a solution i have same peoblem
i have the same problem but i think its worth adding that i'm on android 8.1
and the issue isnt that google play doesnt install its thats once installed it wont download (and therefore not install) other apps.
i think the issue is that the system doesnt come up with the authorisation box to let playstore install apps (so doesnt recognise it as a store?).
if you install amazon store and try installing something from there, it asks if you want to let amazon store install apps, you click yes and it works. for some reason it doesnt do that with playstore. you either get stuck on app downloading but doesnt download or playstore shuts down.
play services, are updated manually from apkmirror otherwise you constantly get that gmail wont run without updating services first for example. update it manually and it works for a while.
sorry, probably also worth adding i'm on (and assume we all are who have this issue) on the chinese rom (messed up at purchase!) and an alternate fix would be if we could install a non chinese rom or a custom but doesnt look like these are available?
we still need a solution to this....
