Hey guys.
My Tab S3 is stock and working just fine except for the question above.
Using the on-screen virtual keyboards, all those features work fine.
But when the tablet is docked on its keyboard cover, there is not spellcheck, auto-correct, auto space or word suggestion at all.
Is it possible to turn all these on when using physical keyboards? I tried every combination within the language settings but no luck. TIA.

Hi all,
I am a new user of Archos 101 here, today I just realized that whenever I connect an external keyboard to my Archos, the on screen keyboard is not displayed anymore. How do I make it is displayed again? Meaning I want to have both method of input at the same time, the external keyboard and on screen keyboard.
Yes, I know most people will prefer to disable the onscreen keyboard while the external keyboard is connected But this time, I need both..
FYI, I'm using the default Android keyboard.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot
Same issue here...
I have a need for both a hardware keyboard and the onscreen keyboard available at the same time as well. I love the device and this is the only thing holding me back from using it much more effectively.
FWIW, on my T-Mobile G2, I can't use the touch keyboard when the physical keyboard is folded out.
no one have the solution?
Is there a way to remove the on-screen keyboard(OSC) from popping up every time i dock my SGT? It's pretty annoying and surprising that samsung didn't notice this. I don't need an OSC popping up when i already have a keyboard present. besides, i could always call it up if i need it.
Thanks!
When you beginning typing, you will see a little keyboard icon in the notification steam. Touch it and change to the Samsung keyboard. That should do away with it. There are also two keyboard keys on the dock keyboard. One is 2-3 keys to the left of the spacebar and the other is above the shift key.
They seem to give you setting options and on demand pop up a touch keyboard

I've already tried changing to the samsung keyboard but it still keeps appearing. I know how to make it disappear by pressing on the key beside ctrl, but is there a way not to make the on screen keyboard appear at all when docked?
I have not found a repeatable amd tracable method. Sometimes changing soft keyboard to Samsung or English works go not make it appear. Sometimes it works other times it doesnt.
I am not really committing lot to figuring it out until after the TouchWiz update. But i have yet to excessively use the keyboard to be honest. So i may have more patience. It would be nice to be able to define a dock keyboard behavior and a handheld behavior. It is also annoying to switch back to thumb or swift keyboards.

so when im using my prime without the dock, i use swiftkey. When i dock, i want it to switch to the asus/android keyboard. i can still type, but theres a few nitpicky things. Like if im typing a question on the phyiscal keyboard with swiftkey on, and i end with a question mark by hitting SHIFT ? on the keyboard, it capitalizes the first letter of the last word.
example:
Hey how's it Going?
so is there an easy way to have it switch input methods when i dock, or is there a way to just use swiftkey and not have it battle with the physical keyboard
I'm also very interested in this - have you worked out the best way to get around this yet?
There is a program in the market called keyboard manager that allows you to select which keyboard to use when the prime is docked, landscape and in portrait mode. However it needs root access.
You can press ctrl+shift on the dock keyboard, to change input method and ctrl+space to change language inside asus keyboard.
As you guys all know, the LG G2 doesn't come with a physical keyboard. Ever since I paired my home bluetooth keyboard with my G2, it seems to think there's a physical keyboard. Whenever i reboot the device, physical keyboard is turned on and the soft keyboard doesn't pop out when I need it. I have to keep disabling the physical keyboard manually.
This is quite an annoyance, which i don't think is limited to the G2 as I previously noticed this on another Chinaphone running JB. Then I had worked around this by using the Hackers Keyboard from Google Play that had a setting to pop out the soft keyboard even when physical keyboard is present.
What can I do to have the physical keyboard not be enabled by default?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi,
I would like to collect info in this topic about potentially pro1x well fitting keyboard app.
There is nice article on XDA https://www.xda-developers.com/best-android-keyboard/ but it doesn't mention physical keyboard.
I noticed that LOS built in keyboard app does not provide auto correction when typing on physical keyboard. Is it a matter of configuration?
Anyway I am looking got an app which can do autocorrelation, ideally in 2+ languages combined, so I don't have to change language input each time. And that will work when using physical keyboard as well.
Any suggestions?
