I was wondering if anyone has rooted this device? I've tried kingroot and kingoroot and nothing works. I want to root it to get rid some of the apps that came with the device. I have like no space left. Out of 16gb, 6gb something is apps that I downloaded, 1gb free, the rest is what came with the device and the os. I attached screenshots with specs. If someone could help me, that'd be great. Also maybe tell me which system apps I need, or point me to a place to look that up. Thanks.

Hey guys, I got a Samsung Galaxy S4 for my birthday but unfortunately I found out it was a clone.
It has all these Chinese apps installed and I want to get rid of them to make space since it is using all my 18GB and only
leaving me with 2GB. I was told I had to root it but I have no idea how to do it.
Any advice?
There are dozens of S4 clones. You have to find out some more info before you try and root it. It's also a really good idea to download the stock firmware if we can determine what it is, so if something doesn't go right, you can recover. Only thing worse than apps you don't want is a phone that doesn't work.
Go to your Settings > About Phone section and screenshot everything about the android version, baseband version, build version, kernel version etc.
Sometimes they get really clever and fake that stuff too, but since there are already Chinese apps installed, doesn't seem like they went all in like that.
hey why throw in another ROM and what is it??? I have an arc I'm happy for it, but it is slow and constantlysays threre is no space and I can not get rid of all the pre-installed apps I do not use. I read there was one that had rooted her and put a samsung menu on it is that a good idea
I do not know anything about this, but dare roote my phone with expert help and guide in what and why or just with telling me what I shall be looking for. so anyone who is fresh to explain me things.
my apps are allready installed on my sd card. except the preinstalled.
I hope someone will be nice to enlighten me in what is what and why Its a good idae to get a program that can make the phone believe my external ceard is the internal and what it means to root a phone.
Hi so i need some help and this looked like a good place to start. I bought my girl a phone for Christmas, its the ZTE Atrium (Z793C) through Strait Talk from Walmart. Its a CDMA phone and it runs off the Verizon network. It was a decent prize, ok size screen, so i bought it (not knowing it was a peace of crap), its running Android 4.4.4 KitKat. So heres the problem it has a CD card slot but it only lets you use it for pictures and thats about it. Its only has a gig or so of internal memory. So it didnt take my girl long to fill it up with facebook, games and crap. I have never seen a phone like this, every android phone ive ever had at leat let you put sum part of your apps on the CD card. So i need some help, Im not new to hacking devices you name it ive hacked it and this is not the first phone ive rooted. If it was a sumsung or a Motorola i wouldn't be here. What the heck is a ZTE (crap ill tell ya). So ive tried a couple of apps from the pc and from the phone with no success (iroot, kingo root, kingroot, framroot but the apk i downloaded only had one exploit). IDK maybe i did something wrong. Any kind of help with this problem would be much appreciated.
Please help Somebody gotta have some ideas

I also am having the same issues. I use my phone for business and require alot of different applications. Please tell me there is a solution to this problem.
It has been done
If you still want to know, I got the device temp rooted and will be looking into a custom recovery and Tom for permanent root later.
Please can you tell me the best root for my zte atrium?
Right now I discovered a temp root for thr ZTE ATRIUM. It is the only root working right now.

P.S: For the root to last longer keep all the apps you had opened while rooting and open terminal emulator and type SU. Then accept. Feel free to ask questions.
Hello everyone.
I am very new to all of this so I figured I ask first before I accidentally do some stupid things to my phone.
I was thinking of rooting the phone since a while because of the constant storage issues. It was advertised as a 4gb model but since it is my first smartphone of the newer generations I haven't thought of it having only a couple of megabytes storage left after all the system files and bloatware. Now I am regretting not buying an 8gb dual model.
At first it was somewhat manageable, but now after the 6.0.1 update I can barely somehow hold my everyday social media apps updated, let alone be able to have any utility apps or games installed, despite having a 16gb sd card. Since the phone requires some files to be installed on the device itself it makes it rather unusable. I have now come to a point where I cannot install a new very needed app because of storage insufficiency so I came to search for help on how to remove all these useless preinstalled apps.
I searched a bit trough the forum but all these apps and roms... are confusing me. As I don't which of those I would need just to get rid of the bloatware. I don't really need any other changes to my phone. Just something that makes me able to remove the bloatware and has the least amount of risk bricking my phone.
What would I need to do to be able to remove the unwanted apps? Just the root? Some app after that? Or a new rom?
And if you could point me in a direction of a detailed or low risk guide I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You have several solutions but of course, root is the best way to be able to to the more.
A lot of solutions need your phone to be rooted.
But it is not so simple to do, look at the different tuto on this forum.
sooo... I was wondering why my phone storage kept running low
the "sdcard" is its own internal, with apps storage and DCIM and such.
The root however, I don't know how it got like that. At most I installed an emulator but did not use it and uninstalled it. Should I root my device? I kinda need those 10 gigs. Files count goes well over 20k.

Also, do you have any suggestions on how to root it? I don't trust Koingo, nor Kingo one-clicks.
