LTE problem - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

I bought mate 10 lite 5 days ago from Lebanon and when I'm back to Egypt my home land I discovered that the device LTE bands are not compatible with the network in Egypt.
Is there anyway to solve this issue, or add bands or customize it
My phone is L21
Thanks in advance

The bands covered are a function of the chipset, not the firmware - so there's no possibility of upgrading/modifying/customising your existing device.
According to GSMArena, there are two versions of the Mate 10 Lite - one (presumably the variety you have) which covers LTE bands 1, 3, 7, 8 and 20, and one which is more international and covers LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28, 38, 40 and 41.

[Q] The EXACT bands of Nexus 9 LTE

I searched many times of websites on the lte bands of nexus 9 lte, but no, I've not got an exact spec of the lte bands that Nexus 9 LTE supports.
Until now I've got details of it from ht##tp://ww##w.bh##photovideo.c##om/c/product/1087410-REG/htc_99hzj002_00_nexus_9_volantis_32gb.html which the bands are
2.5G (EDGE, GSM/GPRS) MHz:850, 900, 1800, 1900
3.5G (HSPA+, UMTS/WCDMA) MHz:850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100
3.5G (CDMA2000, EV-DO) MHz:850, 1900
4G (LTE) Bands:1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 19, 25, 26, 41

Now I'm sure whether this is right, are they the exact bands of Nexus 9 LTE?
I've got a Nexus 9 LTE from US to China, all three carriers have deployed either TDD-LTE or FDD-LTE, so I'm wondering whether I can use the LTE network with Nexus 9 LTE in China.
According to the specs above, it seems that it would work at TDD-LTE band 41 which China Mobile supplies, but I only got an EDGE with the 4G-SIM card inserted.
However China Unicom gives FDD-LTE band 3 network and China Telecom gives FDD-LTE band 1 network. Only lack of experiments.
The supported bands might be different depending on where the device is bought.
From the HTC site: http://www.htc.com/us/tablets/nexus-9/
Network (see note below)
2G/2.5G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G - WCDMA:
850/900/AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps
4G - LTE:
Bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,20
NOTE: Network bands in regions may be different, depending on the mobile operator and your location. 4G LTE only available in select countries. Upload and download speeds also depend on the mobile operator.
Built-in memory and connectivity vary by model. Wi-Fi only Nexus 9 features 16GB memory, and LTE Nexus 9 model features 32GB. Please see your local carrier for complete details.
data point for you: i have t-mobile spec nexus 9 bought in us. in hong kong a csl sim shows lte data status. speedtest showed 20mbit up and 20mbit down so i think its working fine. csl web site said bands 3 and 7 iirc.
csl web site: https://www.hkcsl.com/en/index.html
I actually clicked more than one website to bring you this info.

Looks like it's back in stock at store.htc.com for $359 for the LTE.

So from my Internet searching, here are the differences between the Nexus 9 LTE International vs. the USA device.
Nexus 9 Part# 0P82200 (EU/ASIA) handles LTE bands 1,2,3 ,4,5,7,8, 20
Nexus 9 Part# 0P82300 (US) handlesLTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 41
What does this mean to us in the USA?
It means that if you buy the USA Nexus 9 then you're good to go for all USA major carriers.
But if you buy the International Nexus 9, then you're hurting yourself as follows:
Verizon missing band 13 (which it uses for most of its LTE).
AT&T missing band 17.
T-Mobile missing band 12.
Sprint missing all LTE bands.
US Cellular missing band 12.
Here is a list of what USA carriers use which bands:
http://www.droid-life.com/2015/02/0...sm-cdma-wcdma-lte-verizon-att-sprint-tmobile/
Oddly enough, the HTC USA website indicates that the Nexus 9 LTE it sells is capable of only the International bands listed above.
So I called HTC @ 866 449 8358 on 12/26/2015 @ 12:30PM CST and spoke with "Daniel" who advised that if I'm in the USA and purchase from the USA HTC website, then I will be shipped the USA version of this tablet.

Summing up the band support questions

T-Mobile - 2, 4, 5, 12 (3, 7, and 20 also listed on website)
AT&T - 2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 29, 30 (1 and 3 also listed on website)
Verizon - 2, 4, 5, 7, 13 (3 also listed on website)
FCC approved these bands to be used by each model. If it's not an approved band (i.e. tested) it shouldn't be able to be activated. Now the hardware is probably identical, so you may be able to reflash the modem or whatever to the correct carrier, but without doing that, I can't imagine them working across each network fully.
AT&T model should have no problem going to T-Mobile (supports all 4 bands).
AT&T model likely won't work well going to Verizon (7 seems hit or miss on importance, 13 seems pretty important for 700MHz).
Verizon model should kinda work on T-Mobile (except 700MHz on 12, eek).
Verizon model likely won't work well going to AT&T (no 12 or 17 support).
T-Mobile model should be functional going to AT&T (17 is redundant with 12, 29 seems rare, 30 is nowhere as of Sept 2015).
T-Mobile model likely won't work well going to Verizon (7 seems hit or miss on importance, 13 seems pretty important for 700MHz).

Now available in the US!

Just got an email from Asus with this link...
http://www.zenfone.org/2016/09/zenfone-3-deluxe-now-available-to-buy-from-amazon-in-usa/
Now available from Amazon but only thing is, 64gb and silver is the only choice.
If/when we have a bootloader unlock method, or possibly if the 256gb version shows up, then I'll buy. Don't know what I'd do with an android phone without root. (6p user)
I'm willing to bet the hardware will be exactly the same inside, similar to the Axon 7.
Maybe a similar sort of root method will be available? Fingers crossed...
does it work with the europe frequencies?

My understanding is yes, it supports Europe frequencies.
From Asus website

TDD-LTE (Bands 38, 39, 40, 41*)
(* B41 support 2545 ~2655 MHz)
WCDMA (Bands 1, 2, 5, 6, 8,19)
TD-SCDMA (Bands 34, 39)
CDMA EV-DO Rev. A (BC0)
GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
ASUS phone 4G/LTE band compatibility varies by region, please check compatibility with local carriers.

Considering the ASUS official bootloader unlock tool is available for the regular Zenfone 3 (since Sep 29), I'm willing to bet the Deluxe one is coming very soon.

Doubt about honor 9 lte

Hi! I hav a doubt about LTE on Honor 9 STF-L09. Which are the 4g bands that it support, because according to frequencycheck it supports 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9,12,17,18,19,20,26,38,39,40,41 but according to gsmarena it supports 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 40, 41.
Anyone with the handset could give me a response?
For me it shows the smaller list you mentioned on frequency check:

Trust gsmarena and know that it's seem for now that rebranded honor 9 phones keep their originals lte bands over the rebranding.
For example, i got an STF-AL00 rebranded in STF-L09, but it seems to me I can only access lte bands of stf-al00.
Differences are listed here:
https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=8704&idPhone2=8704#al00,europe

I guess the "ALL VERSIONS" 's honor 9 page on gsmarena is wrong, it doesn't list properly the lte bands but it had 2 colors i didn' t find for sale:
Blue Bird & Robin Egg Blue colors.

General Incorrect information on bands.

I didn't expect this phone to have 4 and 12 which is Tmobile but it was able to connect to it. It does say on specs that it has Band 41.
I use the LTE Discovery and I'm very surprise to see those bands being connected.
On North American version of redmagic website it says 1, 3, 7, 8, 20 and 28.
Tmobile 4g lte uses 2,4,5, 12 and 71 and 5g uses 41.
