Hi there,
I am partially sighted and I would like to have all system fons on my legend scalable. Especially in the Maps app the fonts (street names, ...) are so small that it is competely unusable for me. I tried spare parts, but it does not work. Just increases the size once inside the app an has no effent to the rest of the system.
I guess even rooting would not help because there is still no system partition access. I also tried font change program and type fresh, but they do not work or crash (font change prog). Does anybody know another way to increase the system font size?
Thanks in advance,

Hello Everybody,
I rooted my phone yesterday. In Recovery-Mode there is access to the system partition. In normal use of the phone not. So none of the apps to change the font size can work (as I suspected). But I think there must be a configuration file where the overall resolution or font size con be changed. Dows anybody know the path and the name of the file(s) which need to be changed? And does anybody already know recommended values?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
last week I contacted i-p-tel, the company who sells Font Size (for root users) on Android Market. I asked them to tell me, which file in the system path needs or which files need to be edited to achieve a larger font exposition. I am not quite sure if they will answer, because of their commercial interests, but maybe they will begin to sell an alternative version, which could be applied in recovery mode. This would be great.
Have a nice day.
D\
No answer from i-p-tel yet. And they will not answer, I'm afraid .
Bye
\D
Good effort on trying...!
If anyone, it will be the devs/chefs that will be able to help I think ...Good Luck .
changing font size in spare parts doesn't work
Changing font size in spare parts should handle the task at hand, but it doesn't work. As soon as you leave the spare part menus the fonts are still the same.

This is possibly because writing to system/ is not permitted (legend is not fully rooted). Are you using system overlay? If not, try it, could make a difference. If you're on a Cyanogenmod, simply flash aufs_no_kernel.zip, and in recovery mode run 'system/xbin/aufs --enable' after mounting system in adb shell. Search the development thread for this.
EDIT: this is just a theory, I presume the fonts handling is in /system/. I'm not sure thou.
EDIT2: to clearify, system overlay will give you access to edit the system partition - in other words - apps can do changes there.
Sounds complicated I have a rooted HTC Desire, could you please direct me to the proper thread for my machine.
Do you know Maybe one can somehow run Spare Parts in a Super User mode?

Desire is fully rooted (I presume your device is S-Off), so system partition is writeable (no need for system overlay). So any app than can change the fonts should do it.

I want to create an application that let user select between diffreent languages (English, Hebrew, Arabic, ...) and when he accept the language, phone (reset, or do something to) change the entire language of the system.
It should be able to change the resource file and calendar.
It would be be nice if user be able to change some resources for hisself, and replace it in resource file.
I'd never work with android applications before, so please explain in detail if it's possible.
And is it possible to do this generally for all android phones? or I have to do it only for topaz?
I'd also asked it here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943502
any idea to do this will appriciated.
Thank you in advance

I actually think that if user want tochange a resource, then we need a rebuild in resource files, so that we have to reboot the phone to display the effects? is it wrong or you have another idea?
bytheway if you have a guid to implement such a program, please show me the right way,

Hi guys,
in the Amazfit community we are making steps forward thank to some special users like 1immortal and Neuer_User on the side of rooting and language fix, but these is still an enormous issue with this wonderful watch that is the sync problem!
The watch should pair with the Amazfit app and sync the data with Strava (US edition) of Mifit (cn wersion), but in my experience both are buggy!
Following the work done by Mifit users (xmxm first) i'm trying to export the sports data directly from watch to un universal data format like gpx/tcx or othes, so I made some trials but unfortunately I'm a good android/windows users but I'm not a developer , so I'm going to provide the gathered information for someone who have the experience.
Prerequisites: adb working, DB browser sqlite (or similar) installed; Android Backup Extractor, winrar or similar
Here is my way to export data form Amazfit watch:
- connect amazfit to pc
- adb backup -f /export_data.ab -noapk com.huami.watch.sport
- java -jar abe.jar unpack export_data.ab export_data.tar (abe is android backup extractor)
- extract the tar file using winrar
- navigate to export_data\apps\com.huami.watch.sport\db folder and open sport_data.db using DB browser
- go in browse data, select the "heart_rate" table and export in csv format (remember to define the new line character)
Following this you will have a txt file with all the information of your activities that should be imported in web pages and apps
:good:
Should be possible create a small app to extract/unpack/format the db in tcx format that could be imported in strava/runtastic/etc using a software like SymcMyTracks
Any help will be welcome
Did you get any tracklog information out of the watch? I really like the watch but without GPX export it is useless for me and i will continue using my smartphone with the Sportractive app.

GPX file you can download from Stravia webpage if you have synced your watch.
Just push the Actions button (wrench) under your activitie.
The tracklog is saved together with the heart log in the sport_data.db but must be modified to be imported in other software

No i can't because i do not upload any personal activity data to any webpage. That's why i use Sportractive. No upload/share/account login/advertising mail bull****.

Strava work sync only AmazfitPace but AmazfitWatch(Chinese)
sync only Mifit-Mydong and no export GPS another aps and web
The different sync is due to the amazfit app, not to the firmware version. The app from play store sync with strava, the chinese app sync with mifit, but is you follow these steps:
1 amazfis cn and pair and sync
2 mifit app and sync
3 amazfit playstore
4 strava
Using always the same user, then you will sync with mifit and strava
My actual scope is to export the data from watch or app into txt file (done) and then convert to tcx\gfx

Have you been able to understand the data structure?
I might be able to install a simple method to get access to sport_data.db in my rom.
as i already mentioned in the pacified-thread (maybe not the best place to do so ), do you think there may be a solution to import data like sleep and steps from mi account back on watch, as resetting the watch only results in restored activities!?

The data structure looks quite simple, in the db file there are 8 tables each containing some info; in one we have metadata (unito of measure cn_EN), in heart there are info of pulse linked to the activities, then we have location data (GPS), and running per individual or km (the whole running history)
In attach some screenshot

The procedure creates a backup of the "com.huami.watch.sport" that contains the db files, so if you have the backup you can also put it back on the watch, the only problem is that the program is in the "data" folder which is read only so you first have be root!
If you run the PACEfied ROM, you can simply get the database from the watch with a single command:
Code:
adb pull /data/data/com.huami.watch.sport/databases/sport_data.db

Nice, you have created a root firmware
This means that is also possible to push back an sport_data.db as asked by alexinc

Yes, the rom has full adb root.
Pushing back should work, but the file may be open from apps on the watch. Then you can't overwrite it. In such case, do "adb shell stop" first, then push the file, and then "adb shell start".
I would like to perform a python script that from that file performs the upload to other services like strava, runtastic or similars.
but I dont have my amazfit watch yet.
Could anybody send me it's file?
my only "problem" is, that i did pacify my watch (the temporary way) so no backup was created and after reading that unpairing and pairing again may set everything to km instead of miles, my watch was factory reset and i dont have any backup of sport_data.db... big questions is, if there is any way to get database mi fit app is using and retransfer/reconvert it to watch, as there everything got stored - even my data from mi band 2 usage before amazfit. that would be awesome!
edit: at least it seems that mi fit app is storing everything in \data\data\com.xiaomi.hm.health\databases too, now it just needs to get converted as i doubt it will have same format than watch is using - but who knows!?
edit2: all it needs now is an db-expert to merge the information, but it seems like sleep data is not in sport_data.db, at least i didnt find any hint on it? Must be something with wearservices, as it's lately crashing on me, when scrolling in launcher to "sleep", so i guess it's where the database for sleep is located...
@alexinc, i suppose that the app sport is used only for.....sport probably other apps (if i remember well there is also something like health) are use for sleep etc. Here you can find many info about mifit app

2.) Install newest version of Gadgetbridge (there's also the apk in the folder)
3.) Make the Cor Discoverable (at MiFit settings) and Unpair it from MiFit
4.) Reset the Cor (go to settings -> last Icon (the yellow one) -> accept on the orange button -> last step hold the contact zone, now your band should be resettet)
5.) link it to Gadgetbridge -> you can check the HW ID (should be 0.12.5.6 -> chinese Version)
6.) now you have to flash the Mili_tempo_makece.fw
7.) after flash its possible that you have to flash the Mili_tempo.res too - the band will tell you
8.) We have to reset the Band again (this is the reset for the Hardware ID Change) -> go to settings -> last Icon (the yellow one) -> accept on the orange button -> last step hold the contact zone

11.) Link it to MiFit and you get the newest Firmware officially as International One
If you want to go back to chinese version you have to repeat all steps except with the Mili_tempo_makecn.fw file!

Apart from the emoticons, I also have issues with some characters. The Greek language includes accented / special characters. The COR always shows these special characters as "?". So, for example the name Mary, in Greek is written as " Μαρία" and on the COR it is shown as "Μαρ?α" (imagine "Maria" showing as "Mar?a", because the character "i" is accented). It's rather silly I think, because all they have to do is to include UTF support on their fonts / language settings. I have send them feedback with such a request like a dozen times, but they have not fixed this yet. I do know that people in other countries (that also use special characters) are facing the same issue with the COR.
Do you think that changing the font would fix this ? I do hope so !
EDITED to add:
I think what I'm referring to, is exactly the same issue as this one:

After mili tempo res update my cor is English, but i cant scroll menu, to reset the band. Any idea?
when i unpair the amazfit cor it goes to pairing screen and i cannot reset it as the guide says....why my cor is not able to run when its unpaired? thanks
Hi,
Does it work with firmware 1.2.7.22 ?
Just follow steps and you get your Amazfit Cor in English language.
I have problem on this step
8.) We have to reset the Band again (this is the reset for the Hardware ID Change) -> go to settings -> last Icon (the yellow one) -> accept on the orange button -> last step hold the contact zone
(You must reset Band before deleting from Gagdetbridge app. When you finish update Mili_tempo.rs wait that screen of band start on default screen. After that, navigate on steps in settings -> last Icon (the yellow one) -> accept on the orange button -> last step hold the contact zone.
If you can't scroll down on settings, or you can only scroll DnD options and STATUS, go in Gagdetbridge app, hamburger meni, settings, Amazfit Cor settings, Display items and select only STATUS and SETTINGS.
After few seconds you can scroll on settings, last icon. Run reset. Go to step 9)
9.) Delete the Cor from Gagdetbridge, after the reset we have to search for it again
(This is important! After deleting you must again do pairing with Gagdetbridge app.)
After pairing MiFit app, just delete the Cor from Gagdetbridge app.
I just forget to say thanks to OP! Finally I have English Band and Serbian phone language!

Hi.
I have been in this forum for a short time and since I'm so big I can not find where to write my question, so I've decided to write here if someone sees that it is not the right place to tell me.
I've been wanting to change the source of my android root, I've tried several applications ifont, Hifont, fontster ..., but none of them change the source completely, all the phone.
I have another mobile with xioami in which with the application "
MIUI Custom Font Installer "I change all the source of the system, status bar, settings, applications and everything, even when I make a storie with instagram the letters of the story are also with that source, there is some application or method to do that in a xperia z2?
Thank you so much
A greeting!
