lenovo tb2-x30f TWRP v2.8.7.0 advanced wipe mistake - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

after rooting my lenovo tb2-x30f with adb i needed to wipe my tablet (because i installed xposed framework incorrectly) but i mistakenly clicked advanced wipe and wiped the system so it says "no OS installed, are you sure you want to reboot", so i browsed the internet for a way of fixing this: i found two options, to install a custom rom or to restore from a backup (as you cannot flash the stock rom- i tried). seeing as i did not have a backup i attempted to sideload an unofficial lineageOS rom for my tablet with adb sideloader (using the adb sideload option on TWRP as this was my only choice), this installed to approximately 62% and then said "total xfer: 1.34x", my tablet rebooted to a black screen but sounds playing as i lock/unlock the device and increase/decrease the volume. how do i get my tablet running normally again? is that even possible anymore?:fingers-crossed:

No root/ superuser access Lenovo a6040 (Vibe K5); Developer options activated

Tried everything else for past 3 days, I cannot get Root access.
1) Bootloader unlocked
2) Activated Developer options
3) downloaded Su
4) Flashify or such other options don't work.
5) Also installed Minimum ADB & Fastboot, renamed recovery file, (and I believe so installed the TWRP).
Still can't get to the option of Install Recovery, Take Backup of Stock ROM or Data.
Tried Vol up + Power button, but there is no option to install (despite having SU in a memory card). The only options I get ( on a touch sensitive screen) are to test the phone on some criteria (technical terms I can''t remember) along with an option for Chinese.

If you are using Android up to version 5 use KingRoot for rooting, otherwise use Magisk.
Download Magisk manager.
Install it and download Magisk.zip. Boot to recovery and install Magisk from TWRP. Done!

MI A3 unable to install custom rom

Hi,
I know I must be doing something dumb, but I am unable to install any rom on my MI A3. I unlocked my bootloader and installed TWRP. I tried installing the havoc os rom on my phone and it wouldn't boot after that (kept going straight into fastboot). So I went back to TWRP and wiped my internal storage and tried installing it again but the same problem kept happening. Now I cannot install any rom ( I have tried Lineage OS and crDroid). I performed the following steps to install a rom:
1. Copy the zip file to internal storage from my laptop
2. Clicked on install
3. Chose the file I just transferred
4. Did the swipe to confirm flash thing
5. It does the flash process without any errors, but then says do you really want to reboot, there is no OS installed.
Even if I try to reboot, it goes straight to fastboot. Checking my internal storage through TWRP, I can see that my system folder is empty.
EDIT: I realised that I need to flash it twice because of the A/B partition thing. I tried doing that too. Now, TWRP no longer says that there is no OS installed and I can see that there are some files in system/. However, I still cannot boot into the OS. It goes straight to fastboot.
EDIT AGAIN: I am able to boot after flashing the stock fastboot rom. So at least I can use my phone for now. However, I would still like to use Havoc OS. Any help is appreciated.
I tried a couple more ROMs. Pixel experience also gets stuck at fastboot and Lineage OS gets stuck in a boot loop

My problem is that I can't install havoc os. I tried all the methods....
Same for me, first time I installed Pixel Experience like you did and worked well, then I tried again and I can't install no more custom ROMs, always getting error 1 in recovery, or not installing TWRP at all. I was able to boot phone again by fastbooting Stock Android 10 v11.0.11.0 April.
But I really enjoyed PE and I wanted to install it.

Xiaomi Mi 10 5G bricked after reboot (successfully flashed before)

Hi. I just received Mi 10 and tried to flash it with xiaomi.eu rom (native one - Global which doesn't support 2 SIM). It was pretty hard as it often declined to boot to the system. Finally I able to flash it successfully and ROM detects both SIM cards. But another problem appears: randomly after reboot phone lose `system` and `data` partitions and stops booting while nothing was touched.
In TWRP (using Chinese TWRP 3.4.1b-0313 by wzsx150) it shows that `data` partition is empty (what cannot be as it contains a lot of apps data) and unable to mount `system_root`. When I ask to reboot to system is says "No OS installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot" that is also strange - OS definitely as installed. One more time - no operations on system partitions were done before device bricked, it just randomly stops booting. While after last installation I rebooted it about 10 times to ensure it works. And after night - it goes to fastboot screen again. While without reboot it works for a long time (before boot uptime was about 6 days).
Device were unlocked after 7-days timeout successfully.
Actions I am doing to flash device (using Linux):
`fastboot flash recovery recovery-TWRP-3.4.1B-0313-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150.img` - TWRP flashed ok (I also tried other version include one specified in this thread: Ultimate guide to install stable or Dev rom from Xiaomi.eu)
Boot to TWRP
Format (not wipe) data: re-create FS (i.e. create ext4 FS) and format.
Copy `xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10_20.6.18_v12-10.zip` to device (or use external OTG storage)
Flash it successfully
Copy Magisk 20.4 to device
Reboot to TWRP and flash Magisk
Wipe cache
Reboot to OS
Pass first-time setup, install apps
Reboot couple of time to ensure everything works
Any idea what happens? I ab actually ran out of idea - it is not first phone I am reflashing and not the first Xiaomi device (before used Mi 6 reflashed with LineageOS for about 3 years) and it is first time I see device has probably corrupted data/system partition.
One note: after booting to flashed device I setup fingerprint and pattern for unlock. After reboot when phone cannot boot into OS TWRP doesn't ask for pattern (while in normal situation is should, latest TWRP how to unlock with pattern). It makes me think that at the boot moment partitions already corruppted.
Do that for clean installation:
flash fastboot rom (https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/umi/) China Stable
when phone is open, shutdown. open fastboot and flash this recovery (https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682877442)
in advance wipe section select dalvik, data and internal strorage then wipe
reboot to recovery again, in wipe section do Format Data, then reboot to recovery again
connect pc, put latest eu rom zip to phone then flash
restart and do the first setup
reboot to recovery again and flash Magisk

TWRP backup hangs, reboot system hangs

Hi,
After a bit of fight I've managed to recovery my vf-895n (vodafone smart prime 6) and reflash stock rom. I've installed twrp and now magisk. When I try to backup with twrp it hangs. When I try in twrp to do reboot-> system it hangs. What could be causing this?
I also think that the phone doesn't boot so fast, like it is waiting to go into developer mode or something, then decides to continue to boot (and show spash).
Thanks
Wondering why you installed TWRP? Booting into TWRP always is enought, IMO, because it doesn't tamper Android system.
Example
Code:
fastboot boot <TWRP.IMG>
Interesting I didn't know you could do that. But would be the same effect as installing TWRP.
To answer your question I install TWRP to install magisk and to take a full back up. I've now had to uninstall magisk because my banking app doesn't like it (it used to work so I assume banking app has been updated). But the reason I had magisk was to run link2sd for more space. I've currently got over 1G more than I had before the crash with the same stuff installed (more or less). Not sure why that is. Firmware is different now as I had to reflash with a stock I downloaded. I probably don't need TWRP installed now as I'm running unrooted.

Nord N10 bricked

My Nord N10 5G is now SoftBricked
First I installed TWRP through adb. Then I restarted and everything was fine.
Then I try to flash the lineage os unofficial from the XDA thread. flash was successful but,
It was stucked in the starter animation of lineageos.
I rebooted on twrp and saw that many storage blocks were missing, including internal storage. I try to restore the original firmware but this was unsuccessful.
try to flash aosp official via adb sideload. but there was an error and adb sideload wasn't start correctly.
then via sdcard, flashed aosp os. flash was successful but, there was many storage block missing errors. and again, aosp also stucked.
Has anyone had such an experience? How did you come up with the solution?
Solved
Just factory reset from "Pixel Experience recovery menu" .
