Works great you may have to do it 2 times! Just let it reboot when it is plugged into the pc and it is rooting it after the reboot if no root hit ROOT device and let it go for the 2nd time.

I have created a poll option for HTC Desire 501. Please provide your input here so that any one of the developer will look into it.Atleast we can root the phone.

i have rooted my desire 501..
for rooting desire 501 first you have to unlock its bootloader... i unlocked itt by using kingo bootloader unlocker (freeware application available for windows )
then root it using VROOT (chinese rooting app but available in english version too )
but before going for unlocking bootloader..back up all your data as it all will b lost.

Its worked for me,. got unlock boot-loader through htcdev.com, rooted through Vroot.apk application.
But So many applications are missed like Calculator, Flashlight, Ringtone Trimmer and Teeter game.
All stock applications are not available on net, After two or three days later one day polaris office not going started, Any way I have installed
polaris office 5.

I am looking for a way to root my device BLU DASH JR 4.0 K (D143K) running Kitkat 4.4.2 and I have tried a lot of different tools already (towelroot, king root, mobogenie, uroot, vroot, kingoroot.) and done a lot of research without success.
I was hoping someone would have successfully rooted that phone and could share an approach that is known to work with me.

Yes, I saw this post and followed the various links and tried the various options described without success. Thanks for suggesting it anyway.
Still not rooted
Bump! I unfortunately did not find a way to root this phone. I must have tried all "on-click" root apps out there without success. Anyone with a different approach to propose ?
The phone runs on a MT6572 A7 dual core cpu although somehow the hardware is listed as MT6571. The file system is UBIFS.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i have tried every possible to root but no success. i assume the purpose of rooting is to fix imei after flashing firmware. i use sigmakey to repair imei without rooting after months of trying different things.

i plug in device while off then power on and select "android gadget..........." in the mtk tab of sigma software to repair imei
You tried king root, it will tell you that it was unsuccessful the first time, run it again immediately, if second try dont work the 3rd one will.

Have you tried kingoroot?

Download this apk.. Check unknown sources in settings and install..

Yeah I'm trying to root this phone too...It's the sane make and model#, but I don't know if it's on virgin mobile's network or not because it's one of those q link lifeline phones that I got in the mail....I guess all I have to do is make sure I make a call at least once a month and I'll have free texting and 250 minutes a month...forever...anyways I don't know off maybe they did something to the phone to make it unrootable...I've searched a bit and found a thread on here saying that king root will do it but I've bricked 2 Alcatel phones with that app already, and I'm afraid to try it on this one. Also, king user doesn't work with titanium backup, and that is a must have app for me....

Same problem here; I was the happy owner of a Jiayu S3 advanced (MTK 6752) running on Kitkat, option was available to activate Super Su under "Settings/Safety", worked like a charm, phone rooted, 200 Apps+, 128 Gb SD Card...All was great, until I lost it!
I then ordered and received the Jiayu S3+ (MTK 6753, which amazingly enough is in fact a downclocked version of 6752), running on Lollipop...and the magic button has disappeared. Unrooted phone therfore to my utter dismay (no Titanium restore possible!) and searching the net seems to confirm that Kingroot, Kingoroot, Towelroot, Iroot and other Framaroot not only do not work with Lollipop, but also tend to introduce chinese bloatware if not viruses in the phone.
I am therefore desperate to find the young and talented geek who will explain to us seniors in simple terms how that Jaiyu S3+ with Lollipop can be rooted!!
