Tutorial on customizing theme
How to customize a Theme -
Here is a simple tutorial on how can you customize an already ported theme (I thought of customizing a theme beacuse I like some icons of one theme and some of another , then why not make a customized theme which is a mix of icons ( or you can say .pngs ) from different themes
What all you need
1. WinRar
2. Base theme which you want to customize
3. And all the themes using which you will be customizing your theme ( base theme )
Now
1. extract framework-res.apk of your base theme
2. extract framework-res.apk of another theme
3. Now check drawable-ldpi folder of the base theme and find out all the .pngs you want to change ( like battery , title bar , lock screen , network signal etc etc.)
4. Replace these icons with the icons of another theme
5. check drawable-mdpi of the base theme ( you will have to check this folder for android and rotatory locks ) and find out the icons you want to change.
6. Replace them with the icons of another theme.
7. Repeat step 1 to 6 for twframework-res.apk file and change the icons using another theme.
8. In the End open framework-res.apk ( and twframework-res.apk ) with winrar.
9. Add the modified folders ( drawable-ldpi or drawable-mdpi ) into framework-res.apk ( or twframework-res.apk) respectively.
This is what I have found (while customizing the HTC theme ). If anyone wants to add ( or modify ) some steps, feel free to do so.

Can you add white backgroud in notification (like orginal htc) instead of transparent because some notifications (for example from player pro have black or grey font color so they aren't visible)

Actually the changes which I have done is on top of already ported HTC theme ported by The Dark Lestat. And personally i dont hve any idea about porting themes.. but will give a try to change the background of the notification bar.
Thanks..
Ok I'll write to Lestatious with this request maybe he modifies it in his theme

Hi,
Please let me know if you guys have tried this HTC customized theme .
Am able to see 260+ views to this thread but not a single reply mentioning if anyone tried this theme
This developer below has made transparent Status bar. I think he took the black image inside systemUI.apk (can open using winrar)and made it transparent and repacked it back. I tried to open systemUI.apk and locate the status bar but couldn't find one. I am trying to make one for XXLFB(which has brightness adjustment in the drop down and i don't want to loose it).
Is my analysis correct ? If so could you help me locate the .png file that is transparent. Thanks

I removed all icons from a theme as I hoped Android would use system icons instead.
Unfortunately the app drawer now shows the same icon for all theme icons that I removed. Apparently it still tries to load the themed icons.
Which config file do I have to change to so that the default Android system icons will be shown?
Issue solved:
Simply open the .apk using WinRAR and change the images with new ones. If swapping images from one .apk to another you can actually extract the old .apk to a folder using WinRAR and then browse to see the images you want. Select them and drag and drop to the same corresponding folder in your new .apk using WinRAR. This is useful for changing simple things like icons, battery images etc. As long as the images are like for like number of images. If you want to add extra battery images for example battery circle mod then that is covered in another section.
Things to note when adding the images using WinRAR make sure the settings are "update mode = add and replace files" and "compression method = normal".

One more theme released... check in downloads section...

I was bored of the battery icons and the clock of the stock ICS... So I modded the clock to a different colour and it also displays seconds like a digital clock... Battery icon is completely white colour and it displays percentage in single steps... I modded this for myself but I thought somebody would like this so sharing it here....
This mod is compatible with Xperia T Small Apps mod by Aeon..
Check out the screenshots if you did not understand clearly what i did..
Download:
1. This is first mod with yellow clock, white battery icons..
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mq4objesop3p3h9/SystemUI.rar
2. This is second mod with blue clock, blue signal bar, white inverted battery icons.. A blue line separator between notifications is also incorporated.. check the screenshots...
https://www.dropbox.com/s/7gf3q5xoboiou23/SystemUI v2 (blue clock and blue signal bar).rar
Instructions:
1. You need to be rooted and have a root explorer...
2. Download the .rar file from the link above..
3. Extract it and move the SystemUI.apk to the system/app folder... Set the permissions to rw-r-r.. Or else you will get FCs.... Incase you are getting FCs, remove the battery and reinsert...
4. Reboot and enjoy.!
It will not cause any bootloops if you have already flashed Aeon Small Apps MOD... It is a must...!!
