Simple Question - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently moved my service from AT&T to T-Mobile. I have a G928A phone and would like to remove the AT&T image and replace with the T-Mobile image. I suspect I need to update the firmware from G928A to G928T but there does not seem to be a consistent answer on if it's possible to update an AT&T phone in this manner.
If I've simply missed a thread let me know but hoping for a quick answer on this.
Thanks.

I can't use data on a european provider. Verizon phone.

Hi, everyone. I got my mother's lg g3 verizon phone when she passed away, and while I know that verizon phones are unlocked, I cannot use data with my French carrier. Verizon can't help, so I'm kinda sick. It's a much nicer phone than I can afford, so I really would like to use it. I think I have to change the APN settings, but I have no idea how, or what to change. Can anyone here help?
Hi! Please post questions in the Q&A section. I'll ask a moderator to move the thread.
I don't have any knowledge myself regarding changing APNs on the VS985, but it's possible that unlocking some of the other radio frequencies used might help too. I don't have personal experience with that either, but there are threads in this section having to do with that, maybe in Q&A too. Use the search field on both sections for "unlock" and you should find something.
I would guess that your first step is to make sure that the carrier you want to use it with uses any of the radio frequencies that are available on this variant. Some of the threads you find in the search results might list what all this phone supports, then you'd have to compare that to information about what your carrier uses.

SM-G925T unlocked, Flash to AT&T??

Hello I recieved this phone from a friend which had told me the phone was carrier unlocked.
I am currently a AT&T customer.
I went to the AT&T Store locally and had the woman get me a new SIM card and activate it.
My internet did not work so I told the woman I can figure it out and left the store.
I then edited my APN settings to "phone" and all the proper settings that are posted for the Galaxy S6 Edge AT&T
I now have horrible service. Just like T-Mobile does in my entire area that is why no one bothers to use it unless you live in town even then it wont work inside your own house.
I feel like all the information is somewhere in this forum but I have spent quite a bit of time searching around to only find small pieces of answers.
Questions:
What Bands does the tmobile version run on?
Is this phone fully compatible with AT&T LTE? If not what speeds am I limited to?
Should I be running a different bootloader?
I'm currently on 6.0.1 Android stock tmobile. Can I flash to a debloated firmware without tripping knox? Which ones? Are there features I may loose?
Should I downgrade to stock 5.11 tmobile first then root then flash to debloat?
What is the safest and best way to root the phone?
Should I care about Knox if I have no warranty and dont plan on sending it in ever because of this?
Thank you in advance everyone I appreciate the help.
Please help

Flashing to another Carrier's firmware using an unlocked phone

Hey,
I don't know if this is too device specific, but I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955U). It was originally AT&T, though I got it unlocked the day I purchased it. I use it with T-Mobile now, and I never was able to update my phone since I switched. Turns out, it was because you can only do so using AT&T activated SIM cards. Literally had to get a prepaid to update it.
My questions is: Since I have an unlocked phone and use it with T-Mobile, is it possible for me to flash T-Mobile's firmware updates to my phone without consequence instead of having to get an AT&T SIM card every time to get their firmware?
I did some research, but was not able to come up with a definitive answer. It would really save me a lot of trouble if such is possible.
If not, any other way I can update without having to get through AT&T's prepaid SIMs?
Really would appreciate any help given. This has been driving me insane.
Thanks!

Flashed T-Mobile rom but AT&T still showing..

I have flashed T-mobile firmware onto my ATT Galaxy s9+, but AT&T Logo still shows on boot, and the Service provider SW Version still shows AT&T also.
It appears I used the correct firmware, do you guys know how to fix this issue?
I would like to fix it and also make sure i receive all the T-mobil OTA updates.
Thanks.. AT&T Sucks!

Don't quote me on this, I'm sure I'm totally wrong, not really familiar to Samsung and the way carriers handle CSC switching. I don't think you can just switch carriers by flashing a different firmware when it comes to the US variants. I know all the other carriers can change their home CSC. If it were that easy why wouldn't there be guides or more people doing it? I recently found this out like you did when I flashed TMobile firmware to my Sprint S9+ and still ended up getting SPR/SPR/SPR. I'm assuming it assigns your service and stuff by IMEI?? I'm probably wrong to some extent but I really doubt it's possible to do that otherwise carrier locking devices would be basically pointless. Now if we could root our devices and get off of Samsung's locked down bootloaders we could probably dismiss their carrier integration that makes it to where it auto assigns us the service for the phone based on whether we are UUIC unlocked. Sorry mate. I even tried going from sprint 965u to unbranded 965u1 then to tmobile 965u still no luck.
TLDR: I just tried it too, don't think it's as simple as flashing that carrier specific firmware. They lock it down so you can't just take their device and leave their plan. They want their money.

buy V60 and use in Europe.

Hi,
I would like to buy a V60 and use it in Europe.
But reading about it makes me wonder if it is such a good idea to buy this phone.
Could you help me out, I'm a bit of a newbie to Roms, rooting and fixing phones so they work.
I was reading something general about importing a unlocked carrier phone and it stated that I can buy an unlocked T-mobile or other carrier and use an european sim. There it stated that it will come a time when you need the us carrier sim card to perform things and I will be unable to do those things without the correct sim card. I do not remember what those things where. Perhaps it was If I need to update it. Is it true that you have to have the carriers sim card even if it is unlocked?
Is there any other problems one might face. e.g.
This was the latest LG phone so perhaps they will not care about customer service so much:
perhaps LG will stop posting security updates:
From what I understand there are two parts of the software of a phone: the firmware and android. The firmware is LG specific and I will not be able to get updates on that. But for android which is on top of the firmware there should be a way to get updates even if LG stops posting them, or?
If not, can I switch to an other rom to have them?
Can I update to a later android version even if LG does not post one for the phone?
Can I root the phone and be rid of all the us carrier stuff, get a phone that is not associated with any carrier?
yes you can root the phone and flash EA firmware. instructions available here and works perfect for ATT unlocked phones. also you can buy a Verizon version, use it 60 days in the Verizon network, after it will work anywhere and get updates. the problem is that no new LG V60 devices left in the stores.
