My lg g5 dual sim variant recently stop detecting my sim card. Have not ejected sim tray for months and have checked through threads after threads for solution. Micro sd card is working though.
-Changed a new sim card
-sim reader( repaired by reputable shop)
-Did factory reset before repairing
Sometimes my phone detects the sim and starts rebooting. And follow with a rebooting loop until sim is ejected. Sometimes it detects the sims and my service provider but no calls, msgs and mobile network can be used.
Is there anything i can do? I love this phone.
Thanks!

I bought a used Orange UK TG01, unlocked it with an unlock code, then flashed some cooked ROMs. Voice calls work perfectly, but a "Cannot connect for an unknown reason" comes out immediately when I use anything that needs a data connection. This even happens with a stock Hong Kong WM6.5 ROM.
Is my TG01 defective? I flash ROMs with SDDL+ and my microSD card is a Transcend 8GB microSDHC Class 6. The only things I haven't tried yet is using a microSD (<2GB) card and using the pin shorting method to flash ROMs instead of using SDDL+.
I'm in Hong Kong and my mobile operator is PCCW 3G. All connection settings are correct. The same settings and SIM card work with my HTC TyTN II.
Try this....
Change your sim card with your friends or your wife's. I am thinking that your phone company is the problem. I had the exact same problem with my phone here in Japan. Said something just like your message. So I swapped the sim card with the sim card in my wife's phone and boom... my phone worked perfectly. I had to call my phone company over and over and over again, then they said that they will "refresh" my phone account and it took three days. So... just try a different sim in your phone, the problem you are describing is EXACTLY the same as I experienced. No data connection, but SMS(I think.. I am not sure, it happened to me three years ago) and phone works fine.
Check it out, tell me what happened when you swap sim cards?

Luckily my operator happens to be carrying out some network upgrades which requires me to get a new SIM card from them, no phone calls needed.
I got my new 64K SIM card and bam, everything works perfectly now! The chip on the SIM card is smaller than my previous SIM card.
Yesterday I received my Galaxy SIII, inserted my microSim from my Nexus and started it up.
However, during the setup I got a message saying my sim card was not detected. I finished the setup but even though it shows that I have reception and it is unlocked, I can't send messages, use data or make calls because it says there is no sim card in the phone. I am on the stock rom, rooted and I'm on 4.0.4 with Baseband version I9300XXLG8.
Turn it off, remove sim card, wipe sim card with cloth, reinsert sim card, power on.
If that doesn't work...
Turn it off, remove sim card, throw away sim card, get new sim, insert sim card, power on.
Hello
My SGS3 gti9300 is not detecting my SIM card, it was fine this morning, i used my mobile data without any problem but as soon as i switched my mobile data off, my phone lost network. It tried pulling off the SIM card and putting it back in but in vain; my phone would read the SIM card, it says 'No service'. I also tried checking my IMEI number by *#06# on the dial pad, it would display 'null / null'. I do not have any other micro SIM card right now to try in my phone. My current SIM card works fine on other phones...so i guess the problem is in my phone
Besides, later when i played music on my phone, the music would stumble and at times the track changes by itself. That problem came along with the SIM card one.
My phone is not and was never rooted. It runs on Jelly Bean.
Please help me fix at least the SIM card issue :crying:
If your phone is fully stock and never rooted then return to Samsung for warranty repair.

It's look like a problem with efs. Search on forum how to recover efs files.
Hi
I have issue while having both sims activated.
Mostly the main Sim card slot sim loses signals and sometime it's not connecting mobile data. I have to restart my phone in such situations.
If only one sim used at a time, then everything is fine.
Does anyone know the problem or the situation.
Hello,
I brought realme 1 in Delhi a few days earlier. I left India and I am currently living in Nepal. When I tried to put the Nepalese sim card, it says your phone is customized. The phone is not accepting the sim card and the sim card remains in disabled mode. Is there any alternative to enable the sim card? Looks like I am in big trouble.
