Hi there,
I am also a proud owner of a BLA-L09 in brown. A very nice product.
But I have one question which I did not got solved with any search I tried.
The Huawei asks if you want to use an App in Fullscreen. Then it restarts the app without a small, black line at the bottom.
But I have an app which I do not want to work in fullscreen.
Can I tell the phone that he do not ask again for this app? Becuase I use the button sometime the app restarts next time in fullscreen and dumps.
Settings display display on fullscreen and you can change

Hello there.
Have you perhaps noticed an app which locks your screen on execution? I was thinking if there is an app out there for android which locks the screen and it's icon and name is customizable. I want to use it as a sneaky trap for kids or friends who enjoy playing games on my tablet, but at the same time secretly browse my private stuff. Therefore the trap is set while placing the app on the homescreen menu and assume that it's called "Naked pictures" and has a Gallery Icon and on execution it locks the screen.
Any ideas?
You could just download any app that closes the scteen when opened, and just chamge the icon and name by yourself.

And how do I change it? I am not very experienced with developing stuff.
Hello everyone,
I have been doing my best to search for a method to have the android navigation and home buttons to display on the second screen of the phone. I would like to "use" the phone inverted (even for games /apps so that I could take advantage of as much of the screen as possible)and have the home/nav buttons on the second screen. SEE PICTURE ATTACHED TO A QUICK (MS paint ) RENDER OF MY IDEA. I would then just flip the phone whenever I want to make a call. The nav buttons would be permanently displayed on the second screen and could be customized if I want to add more "buttons/apps". Is this even possible?
Thanks,
SpeedV
You can do this by using macro droid to create a widget for the needed action and then you can use custom shortcut maker to turn that widget into an apk...or also then the automated action into apk using Tasker app factory. I have home and back buttons on my second screen right now using this method
Hello,
been loving my mate 10 which I own for 3 weeks now.. but there are just somethings that keeps bugging me. I try to check hi care to see but don't to use the phone to talk about something I know the support from our country can't answer.. So here are some questions that you guys might have some solution to...
1. Notofications DPI - been trying to resize this via dev mode, but to no avail.. Is it just me or that thing is really big?
2. mini display view when not using nav bar - no instructions how to do this is you don't like to use the nav bar and maximize the screen.
3. PiP - i know this doesn't work in youtube unless you are a red subscriber but, it doesn't work with chrome as well..
I'll try to add more if I see some, but the 1st one is tbd biggest problem I have. I tried going to a huawei store and they just showed me the mate 10 pro and p10 capable of minimizing font in notifs when view mode is set to small...

3. PiP work on chrome. Try to stream video, and long press home button. For me it will minimize the video.

Same sentiments here. And it gets really annoying.
Pip works for me in chrome. While streaming just toutch homw button once. I use ogyoutube for background playback, download and pip.
I'm looking to run multiple instances of the same app in split screen, but use them live at the same time. I can get both into split screen, but as we know, Android forces one in the background and the other in the foreground.
My question is, is there a tweak that exists, either for Closed, Magisk, or anything that gives us the ability to have both apps in split screen, active and in the foreground?
Kind of with Skyolinhelper or XHFW3. I can get a messaging app to continue running over a full screen app with them. Not all fullscreen apps though, like games pause still. Can't remember if XHFW can have more than one window active but Skyolinhelper I know can't. XHFW isn't working on Oreo.

Hello all!
I've seen it somewhat posted throughout the comments here but no thread on it directly. I figure the potential of this this deserves it's own thread and tutorial for those who are coming from Google to try and do exactly this without reading through a few threads.
Anyways:
How to enable Wide View on every app:
Download this app,G8x WideMode.
This puts a new icon in the top bar in the notification shade. If you don't see it, pull down twice and hit the pencil to edit the icons. Find the new one and place it somewhere near the top to keep it close by.
When the dual screen is open, tapping that will force wide screen in every app! There are some limitations:
Intent changes seem to revert the phone back to two separate pages. For instance, the mobile Reddit app Sync closes wide screen if I click any link to an external picture, video or site.
Some apps do f play nice in wide screen due to this, and you can't keep the phone permanently in the mode like a tablet, but it's a great improvement to a great phone idea.
This is super simple so I didn't think pictures were necessary, but let me know if I wasn't clear on anything or if you have problems somewhere!
This is very much appreciated! It works like a charm. It's not the floating dual screen thingy but the toggle buttons that you swipe down from the top. Make sure you add it.
Hey, this app seems to work great! I did have an issue with one app called Steam Link. Steam Link allows you to connect to a computer running Steam and remotely control it from your Android device. When I launch a game and try to use WideMode the Steam Link app refreshes and goes back to a single screen. I would love to be able to play some of my steam games over both screens.
Is there any way to make landscape apps go left/right instead of top/bottom?

I don't understand. couldn't you just auto rotate? you can also use the rotation control app to lock rotation, which helps with wide Mode

auto rotation did not work because some apps are forced landscape/portrait.
I did end up using the rotation control app with the per-app conditions. :good:
Next nice thing would be if some apps would restart at the new resolution, instead of stretching the single-screen app - some apps/games work perfectly, but others don't (and I think they should have a similar resolution compatible because I've used the axon M, which has "dual screen" retained through home with those apps).
