Currently that option won't work with the Xposed version of Greenify on Oreo ( and as you have a Pixel 2, you have Oreo ), might not be working for Greenify on Oreo in general, thought I'd let you know.

How do I update to v82 or the most recent version so i can use this mod. I currently have v80 framework. I'm running CM 12.1 on my Nexus 5.

Sorry, I was just making sure it was enable. I have looked at the log you attached, and there is no mention of the module (com.suyashsrijan.xposedenablenewigui). If it was enabled/installed, the log would say the module has been loaded by Xposed.

Does anyone know how to change scrolling friction? I mean the time it takes to come to a stop when scrolling. Some Roms have that tweaked (like the one I'm using now, aicp). There was an Xposed mod (xuimod) that did that, but it does not work on marshmallow
As of now don't know any tweak, just maybe wait for xposed to roll the marshmallow support.

Ahh okay, thanks mate at least I know what it means now.
Problem is with the Xiaomi.eu 8.1.3.0 Stable ROM I'm running it won't let me remove the first notification (known bug) so it still remains :/

Na, thats just for the MI5, if you scroll down a bit you will see the devices list & android versions for each model.
Wishful thinking for now but it may just happen one day if they are updating those.

One last question sorry, does the launcher on the EU rom have the search/recommended apps screen on the left hand side? I know I could just use nova or apex but I actually don't mind xiaomi's launcher as it's smooth and quick enough. I think it's disabled on the global rom, as it's for searching using some chinese search engine so just curious if it's enabled on the eu rom.

No this is the one I have, its on the left hand panel and cant be removed (from what I can see), although I think it's removed in the global rom and yours too. There are some settings but they're all in chinese.
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
Yeah I'm not sure I don't see anything like that & you have a cog down the bottom..So how did you get to that? is it the furthermost left swipe or from the app drawer somewhere?

Yep furthest swipe to the left (screen to the left of the default 'home' screen), probably Xiaomi's version of a Google now type search thing. The cog opens some settings options but they're all chinese, so not sure if there's an option to turn it off or not.
Not to worry, I'm keeping an eye on cosmic Dan's thread and will probably end up flashing the EU rom with his updated tweaks once they're available.
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
Yep It's missing on the EU version so they must have removed it, also the one from the pulldown doesn't work either it just closes the window.

You might have already seen this on the miui forum, but thought I would drop a link in case you're interested.
Its a flashable mod for MIUI 8 stable/dev roms and has been updated the other day to work with latest 8.1.3.0.
Its has tweaks for battery/system, the fix for slow play store speeds, amongst other stuff.

Get ya, they've posted a few things on the MIUI forum for the RN4 and seems pretty well respected. You can always look through the mods in the zip to see what you're flashing if you're still unsure.

That's normal. If you really want to use the dialer you must replace the apk via root. But no guarantee that it is working.

HW age does not change prior response. Perhaps custom ROM maintainer(s) disabled/altered Android 9.x native doze behavior. If you need Greenify on Pie something else is wrong. Pursue root cause vs squashing symptoms.

I'm very glad that Greenify works on your device with Pie. I guess the question is if Greenify is really needed on Pie (and by theway Oreo already). By lots of things I've read - and especially from such a highly experienced member as @DB126 I personally doubt, but no own experiences as all of our devices are still on Nougat and will stay there.
I'm using Havoc Pie (based AOSP) and Greenify work well in my vince
