Hi
Whats up?
Bought the Redmi 3 Pro 3GB/32GB version.
After read a lot and especially the ROMs suitable for Redmi 3 Pro thread
I read that the MIUI's rom is onerous the phone with so much bloatware apps(cleanmaster, antivrus, Micloud and so more).
So, what is the most stable rooted rom w/o bugs at the area? (Read that the CM13 still have some annoying bugs)
I'm totally noob at the beginning after buying a new device
Saw the MIUI 8 V6.7.7 -BUT- still prefer more "puerer" rom and ofcoarse - with the least Lags as possible.
Prefer a rom that comes rooted comes with twrp + gapps installed that keeps the great battery life of the RN3 PRO.
Is there a "tut's" for how to?
Thanks very much for your help
Been using nehz's CM 12.1 for weeks and it's been pretty stable, some small bugs but it's not that bad. Battery life is almost the same as MIUI, I get a 6.5 to 7 hours SOT.
I'm new to MIUI also have a Redmi 3 pro for two weeks now and I have to say I'm quite happy with MIUI so far. Im currently running the MIUI 8 spaceX rom which is rooted so any apps I don't want to use I have frozen or uninstalled using titanium backup. Before this I've always had some form of CyanogenMod on my older phones and thought that I'd have to flash cm again but so far I'm happy with MIUI

Thanks for your replays!
I always prefer a ROM without bloatware, that's why I think I would prefer the CM.
Is there a way to flash the ROM and and root it at the same process?
Thanks again.
There's no bloatware in the either of ManHiT's MIUI roms. Maybe 6 or 7 system apps that you won't want to use but these are easily uninstalled once you have root.

I second this. In SpaceX/Manh_IT bloatware should not be a problem. I've rooted and removed the ones that I do not use. Just make sure you NEVER remove the MI Account and Find Phone applications. IT WILL render your phone unuseful and needing to flash again.
Thanks very much for your help.
I got the MTK Helio X10 version.
I understood that this is a sub-model for the Chiniese market.
I plan to root it and in case i wont be satified with the MIUI, would flash some clean rom that would be as close to a stock android.
Is there any GLOBAL rom for this model?
Have a good weekend!

Redmi 3 is a model for the Chinese model, there is no submodel. You probably got a fake.

Hi,
This is what I ordered:
http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Xiao...7-16-0MP-TOUCH-ID---Silvery-White-362395.html
Are you sure that there is 1 global model?
Cuase, I read that there is 2 models with 2 different proccesors:
1) MTK chipsent (Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core Helio X10)
2) MSM chipsent (Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650)
So there is must be a defference with the roms for the 2 sus model's, arent?
Would love to be more clear about that.
Thanks!

Sorry, my mistake when typing.
No matter if the forum is about NOTE 3 or NOTE 3 PRO. You bought a NOTE 3 version.
Here on this forum we talk about Redmi 3 / PRO not Redmi NOTE 3 / PRO.
You need ask for help on this forum.

Thanks alot guys :highfive:
Hi Redmi Note 3 owners!
This will be the first "Xiaomi" device I'm looking for customize. I have unlocked bootloader, root device, installed roms, etc, etc, on other phone brands, but never on Xiaomi ones. And always on Qualcomm processors.
But this Xiaomi terminal has a CPU I never worked with before: MTK (octa-core at 2.0Ghz). Here you have some useful info about the device:
- Redmi Note 3
- Android 5.0.2 (LP) - LRX22G [MIUI 7.0 v7.0.919.0 / Stable]
- MTK CPU
- RAM 3GB
So, I would like to, first, unlock the bootloader; but I have read there are two different ways to do that: Official and Unofficial. I now that if I choose the official one, I have to create an account for Mi Account, and wait for response from MIUI to be able to unlock it. But there is another way, instantly, that can unlock it too; but I don't know if the unofficial one is only for qualcomm, or for MTK devices too. What do you recommend to me? And if you recommend the unofficial way, could you provide me a good tutorial to do that?
Then, I wanna root, and install a different ROM based at least on Marshmallow version (stock if possible). And also add TWRP recovery.
Many thanks guys!
Hello,
I purchased a Xiaomi Redmi 5 in China, I have researched into TWRPs for Redmi 5's in order to install regular Android software, but none of the advice has been given for phones with Chinese android installed in them.
Thus, a lot of the advice is given based on a non-chinese version of android and I have struggled to understand the advice.
Would someone please help me out to install regular android to a Redmi 5 with Chinese android?
Thank you
Steps are the same. You just need to change language.
hello
I would like to get vowifi working on my old Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 pro (Kenzo) running very latest Havoc and most up to date Xiaomi firmware.
The problem is no one with this phone has found a way to make PDC work with it.
So does anyone know a manual way to install DT Greece and remove the default ?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi everyone. Am new to redmi note 9s. But was previously using a redmi note 5 pro. I used revolution is ROM as it didn't have root enabled and my banking apps worked without issues. Can anyone confirm if any ROMs have root disabled or can be disabled for the note 9s as I don't think revolution has a rom or is still developing them...
The majority of ROMs don't have root enabled.
thats good, i didnt realise, so banking apps should mostly work on majority of roms?
Yes.
