I'm not a 100% sure but I don't think the source has been released yet. I know some are making deodexed bases for others to use but haven't heard anything for a week or so. I did deodex some LP but haven't tried it yet. For me personally I want a custom kernel with fast charging, I want my beast kernel best.
EDIT: Source has been released, I was looking on a site that wasn't up-to-date. I will say there are some new changes to LP that are different than KK, so just give it some time.

Its being worked on right here, but could be some time yet. They're looking for testers.
Samsung made some pretty big changes in the source, and figuring out the deodex'ed version is a real pain, from what I understand.
If you havnt done it yet, you should consider upgrading to stock Lollipop (and rooting too, if you like. ), using the tar posted in dev. You'll need to anyway, before flashing any Lolli based roms, and there are a few things to get used to, explore. And frankly, I can't remember the last time my phone has been so smooth.
Unless you're addicted to Xposed. Then DO NOT. Xposed doesn't work on TW Lollipop. Yet. Or maybe ever.

Xposed is working on TouchWiz Lollipop devices. Its still in alpha stage but it does work. However not all modules work and some cause bootloops, but some like Greenify and a few others work. I personally havent tried it but a few good friends on the s5 have it running

I'm on lollipop at the moment and waiting for some custom work. Just sitting and waiting trying not to be pushy. I know these things take time and I'm thankful for the work that's done.
there is a Lollipop TW-compatible version of Xposed (thread HERE), but it requires a deodexed ROM, which we don't currently have (wish I knew how to do it myself...)

fantastic news! I stopped playing attention a couple weeks ago, saw a bit of it "running" as a demo/POC, but at that time nothing was running on it, and it was on a very specific custom rom (made for the purpose, if memory serves). and given the double whammy Samsung changes to the code and the need for deodex, thought I'd stop F5'ing it until some real news. (and everyone involved at the time didn't have high hopes.)
thanks for the updates.

There is a deodexed Touchwiz Lollipop ROM available for us from sac. If you check out the thread here, sac is going to be uploading a new version tonight. Currently some are having problems with data so he is doing a complete rebase. I have been running it without a problem but you should wait until he uploads the new one tonight. Xposed is running great on it, btw.
I think I heard somewhere and I could be wrong but its the new A.R.T. (android run time) instead of dalvik system that is some to blame for limited development . That and among other things. But again I could be wrong.
In order to support the ZTE Axon 7 on XDA with the LIGHT PATCH we need to have a Thread/Device Maintainer before! If You would like to know more take a look right here:

Thanks in advance!

Well, basically i do just need someone who Maintains a Thread with Me and My Team Mate here. I want to have someone who owns the Device to get advanced Reports and to have someone who Quotes Me on the Thread if Problems appear (Can be Device Specific).
If anyone is interested enough i will start a Thread which the Maintainer gets invited to. So let's Go! :highfive:
This definitely looks interesting, I'd love to see it take off!

Yes, I got a complete refund from o2 for my g5 after it's second repair (GPS u know..) and decided to go for the axon. I truely love this device!
So could the Patch be applied on the B04 Stock? Would be very nice, because we have a lack of custom Stock based Roms here

That was Luck I would love to have the Axon 7 too. That stereo Speakers and the Display... Mhhh....
But Yes, it should work on Stock. BUT YOu need to add Init.d Support if YOu want to use the given Scripts like Battery Calibration and Play Services battery drain Fix.
Another thing are the GApps. The LIGHT PATCH comes with Optimized GApps for 7.1. If You are on 7.1 YOu're good to go. If not, You should pre download a GApp Pack for Your Android Version to install it after the Patch. That should be all. And like always, do clean flashs! lol

PS: Hope You like the Black Theme of AROMA. It's My first Theme so let Me know It Should be really AMOLED friendly...

I'm still playing around with some things. Ended up doing a complete clean flash of RR, Magisk 13, and this again this morning, so I haven't had too much time to just dive into everything just yet. Just tested sound over speakers though, and it sounds great. Still gotta see how battery fares.
If you opt to let the patch install Gapps, they're very minimal, and you'll end up installing most of them from the Play Store, but that gives you the option to keep whichever ones you want. There are also a ton of lib files, and some add-ons from Sony and HTC that are worth checking out. Will give a more detailed post after I've had more time to mess around.
I'm interested too.
A list with some information of the benefits would still be good.

Glad to hear it runs! Well, there are hundreds of Features and goodies in this Baby. I'm working on Android since almost 7 Years and the Patch is the Product of enhancing custom ROMs to something more than that. Calling it a Mod is like calling a Operation on a Brain slaughtering lol
I will try to explain it a bit.
The Light Patch is the 3rd Version of My Patch System. The Multi Device Support is caused by excluding the Device specific Firmware from the customization which i usually would do with a ROM. The advantages of that are independent OS updates, Multi Device Support, Features which You can't get with AOSP, and it is better to develop than usual Mods or ROMs.
We have planned to create a own AOSP OS and some Apps in the Future which will include the advanced research behind the Patch and everything what i do. It is really hard for Me to describe all that. But i'm going to enhance My Project together with a new Partner and the Light Patch is the first Step on that Way. There will come for sure more Infos, Videos and all possible Things over the Time. And don't run away cause of my English! My Partner speaks a lot better English than Me, so the overall Quality will come over the Time. I'll let him do all the Social stuff here so i can focus on the development (finally). The Main Team is growing and our Maintainers will also get a place in our Org. We will soon have a own Domain with G Suite Service and everything looks bright for our Project.
I hope that wasn't to much bad English for One Post  Just take a look on My very long Changelog and try the Patch. You will not regret it, it is 100% stable if You follow the given Instructions

I decided to try it out of curiosity, pretty much because I flash a lot, and try to stay open to new things. I'm a tinkerer, and I guess that's just part of my fidgety nature. Lol. But, as there's no official maintainer or posts in the development section for our device yet, and English isn't the developers first language, it seems that either flashing or waiting for response from people that have are the best way to get information for now. But if you download the zip and browse through it, there are a lot of things there that should theoretically add to the user experience.
Okay.. So here goes..
Elephone s8 purchased 2 months ago.. I'm with you guys when I see the frustration all you guys have with this phone..
You may have noticed this morning that Elephone has released not such an update but a patch so to say.
I Really dont want nor trust this company.. Its an unofficial update that will probably be aload of rubbish anyway.
Now I have been looking at skeletons ROM on here.. is it good? do you still use it? Is there anything new since?
Im just fed up and hoping you guys can shed some light.. Im petrified on where to start to even flash my phone as ive read up about devices being'bricked'? but willing to just to get something that is sufficient.
I merely ask as you guys are the guys to ask.. The leaders IMO in everything android.
Any information would be greatly appreciated
Eragon is already dead. Skeleton has abandoned the project so no updates has been made since his last one.
I have not tried it nor the custom rom that was released on Elephone forums.

I suggest just using AEROM. Aerom is better than stock and Eragon. Aerom will be updated soon. And aerom fixed lot of bugs.

Erikki123 man I hope you're right.
how do you know about the update? can you share a link?
we're really hoping for oreo here for more than a year
You can download the new rom here but I wouldn't recommend it:
https://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-14242-1-1.html
I have tried all three roms but the stock rom worked best for me. Additionally I flashed twrp and installed supersu for root.
I don't expect any future updates for the AEROM. I think they brought this out as kind of compensation because there will be no android 8 for this device. For me it caused more problems than it solved but experiences may be different on this special phone.
Edit: link corrected
I have tried all three too, and for now I stick to Eragon anyway.
I have contacted Elephone and can confirm that S8 and P8 are officially "dead", indeed.
That's disappointing, mainly because Elephone had started a campaign a year ago (or so) and promised at least two years of support from then on.
But then I have known Elephone from their previous flagships, owning both M3 and P9000, so I'm not really surprised.
But then they did a MUCH better job at bugfixing with M3/P9000 than thay did with S8. At least P8 is running rather flawlessly.
Please also find all required files for rooting the Elephone S8 at:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/k1ldc..._root.rar/file
I hope this helps.
So it's been almost two months since Android 10 release and still almost no sign of a ROM for the Mi 8 Lite. Does anyone have an idea what's so hard about building it? Or is it because of the small community of this phone?
Thanks for the answers
why anyone so cares about new version. what do you think that you will get with A10? new wallpapers, tones and new looking icons.
f you think that is so easy to create a build , than do it yourself

Latest intel the gsi builds work except for one simple but important thing, the camera. No one has been able to make the camera work, they suspect the camera is on a module of his own and hasn't been easy to make it work on 10

Custom roms will arrive before Xiaomi launches the official Android 10 update. I'm convinced.
Hey guys,
since I don't know how well or quickly the Xiaomi community is working, I was wondering when you think we will see the first custom ROMs and Kernels.
Especially an OC Kernel, I could imagine, would improve the experience on this phone alot.
Thanks!
It will take long time cause of accessibility problems. Very long.
Probably never.
Ah surely
Without jokes, there Will be custom developement in mid future?
No. Not before mid 2020
I think currently it's overpriced for sd730g, may be worth for that camera!

You can install any keyboard. I love GBoard, but you can use SwiftKey or whatever you want.
Just search for "Keyboard" in Play Store. If you want something very "raw", look for keyboards in F-Droid.
I spoke with some of the developers of custom roms and no one is interested in developing for this phone.
It really seems like there won't be any custom rom/kernel anytime soon and probably, maybe, never.
We will ahvr to stick to the stock rom.
Anyone interested in starting a reward campaign here?
First fully functioning custom rom gets the cash bounty
I'm putting in $10
Is that a feature? I would defo be willing to throw in some money!

Thanks for your information sir, could i ask why they are not interested in developing for this phone? Personally i think is a pretty interesting hardware
As MoneyFist, I also would donate for a good featured custom ROM ?
I don't understand why there are people saying we will not get custom roms. I think, the main reason for now, is that we have no sources, or I least I can't find them. Once we have sources, devs will be able for, at least, compile something
Sources have been released a while ago. I think once the phone will be widely available in India, we will see devs creating stuff...hopefully.
