Installing Remix OS on PC HDD stuck with weird screen - Remix OS for PC

I tried to install remix OS, following some instructions fr blogs and forums. Make Use Of suggests to replace some code with "INSTALL=2" and some other forum suggested to replace with "INSTALL=1 DEBUG=", I tried both and my laptop stook both times for hours with a screen like this. And when I removed the USB and. battery and restarted my laptop, remix OS was installed but all the partitions were deleted, I lost all my files, but the question is why did such a screen appears and why doesn't the OS installs as supposed?

Windows boot

ive installed remix os and configure it as default os but now im unable to boot windows is there any solution to this withoout having recovery cd or usb plz help

You made it the default os, thats the problem. If you can get an app which can change the boot sequence from remix os, than you can fix it without the recovery disk, otherwise you will need the recovery disk. I am saying all this assuming you have actually installed remix os on your harddisk. If your booting remix os from a usb, remove the usb before booting up your pc
more info would be nice...like how and where you installed remix os.
if on the same hdd but different partition, i m sure you replaced the windows bootloader.
if on another hdd, try going into the boot menu during post and select the different hdd and see.

Impossibility to boot on Remix OS with Acer Switch 10 sw3-013

Hi,
I tried to install remix os beta on my acer switch 10 sw3-013, but there is no way to start onto remix os, tried lots of things (uefi settings, disabling secure boot, selecting bootx64.efi from remix os folder, changing windows boot menu, trying with both legacy and efi version of remix os, on hdd or usb, even SD card...)
No way, my Acer always start back to windows...
If anyone has some tips that actually work, i'd be happy to.
Just for the troll, it work like a charm on my Macbook ;P , but i'd rather use it on the switch if possible
Thanks

Bootloop on the 2nd start

I installed Remix OS 3.0 on my HP 17G105NL without creating a separate partition of C. The first boot was successful end: I set my personal account, enabled the Play Store, downloaded a few apps... The day after, ROS goes bootloop on the animated logo. Then I restarted the PC, start Windows, delete the installation using the exe in RemixOS folder and tried with a new installation. When this was finished, I try to start it, but it makes me the same trick with bootloop. The strange thing is that if I try to run it from USB in Resident or Guest mode there is no prob (but I will not start it from USB because the drive is 2.0). The write speed of my HDD is over 100 MB / s. If you have any ideas, I would be happy to hear them. Thank you all guys.
(Sorry for my bad english)

[Need Help] Blinking Cursor after install.

Hello, I was trying to install Remix OS (i686 version) on my Acer aspire one without dualboot by booting from USB drive and installing with a INSTALL=1 key.
After the 'reboot to android-x86' at the end of the installer Remix OS boots up and everything works as far as I checked.
But after rebooting the system only thing I get after BIOS is blinking underscore cursor.
I have tried to install Remix OS with different file systems (fat, ext4), with and without GRUB but still I get only the blinking cursor.
Is it something I am doing wrong or is it a bug with the installer?
Sorry to drag this thread up, but did you ever manage to solve this? I'm having a right nightmare trying to get this installed... Constantly a flashing cursor after install - doesn't seem to matter what way I create the boot disk.
It runs fine stand alone off the USB, or running it after the install has finished... but never after a reboot.
Blinking cursor
I was tryed run remix OS from flashdrive on Chuwi Hi10 tablet with same result, flashing cursor. I was then try run remixOS with log mode and then look into logfile. There was some information about missing drivers for MMC internal storage. I actualy didn't get over that problem. Maybe it is same problem with your PC.

Need Help With Remix OS Dual Booting

So basically I did the dual boot thing where I had to partition my hard drive and install Remix OS in there, just that stuff. So after restarting my laptop, the dual boot screen came up, I was given the option of Windows 10 or Remix OS so I clicked Remix OS. After that it loaded up everything was working, I signed into my gmail account and all that good stuff. Basically, everything was working as it should. So then something came up in real life and I shut my laptop. I come back and hour later and open my laptop and I'm greeted to the regular Windows 10 user login screen, but I just guessed that Remix OS used the same lock screen. However when I logged in, my regular windows home screen came up. Now it's just like Remix OS has disappeared from my laptop even though it's installed. I have tried to fix it for 2 days now and can't find any fixes. So here are my questions: 1. How come when I opened my laptop was I back on Windows 10 and where did Remix OS go? 2. How can I fix this?
Anyway, if there's any information you need to help me out, just ask and I will answer you.
Thanks!
Possibly an issue with the way you shut it down ? Do a reinstall which will also prompt you to uninstall the previous version 1st. Should not be a major issue. My dual boot shows up every time.
I reinstalled mine probably 3-4 times to see how it worked on external HDD and the main computer.
My only issue is tethering. Doesn't connect when I'm in RemixOS. That's my only internet access for about 3 years now.
By the way, I did not install it on a separate partition. Try to install as a computer app on the same partition as your windows. It will create all the files needed and also delete all of them when you uninstall. Just make sure you put the .iso file somewhere you can get to easy. I extracted mine into the download folder where the zip was also. Seems to work just fine.
