Can I flash T825 UK firmware on T827V Verizon - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

Hi, I have a T827V which is Verizon version.
I have realized that I cannot use LTE where I live since Verizon version supports B2, B4, B5, B13.
I want to flash T825 firmware but am not sure if this would work.
Has anyone tried this? not just on tab s3, even on previous version.
I'd like to know if anyone has an experience.

Unfortunately not.

i wasnt able to flash T825 nor T827 Turkish firmware.
But the US Cellular firmware was able to flash on T827V.
After flashing, I launched RadioBand via QuickshortcutMaker.
and changed radio band to Automatic.
I can now enable LTE band 5 and It's working properly.
CDMA(evdo), HSPAP(UMTS 2100)and LTE band 5 works.
Korean LTE bands are 1,3,5,7 and 8 so I cant test other bands.

Which US Cellular firmware did you flash? Did you flash the whole firmware without error?

As far as I know, you cannot flash bootloader to replace the whole thing.
So you must flash AP, CP and CSC
(Flashing BL will fail.)
I used HOME CSC one.
Once done flashing, my T827V rebooted itself and showed me that installation is failed.
Then I went into Recovery mode and did a factory reset.
After factory reset, it booted up well. (took about 5 to 10min for first boot)
Like i said, it didn't connect to LTE.
So I used QuickShortcutMaker to launch Radioband and changed band to Automatic.
And then it connted to LTE. Since US Cellular one works with LTE band 5 and LG U+ support Band 5.
I believe it is band 5.
I used recent firmware from Samfirm.
You can download it with Samfirm 0.3.6 which you can download the program here.
Model name is SM-T827R4, CSC code is USC

Here is thr proof

I just realized that you can actually get band 3 and 5 on verizon firmware.
but you'll have to set APN first and then go on Radioband and change the modem setting several times. it will end up connect to LTE.

Have you tried flashing the Turkey Oreo to the US Cellular Tab S3? Any luck or issues after doing so?

Thanks! In CyanogenMod i can't see that (or i'm stupid maybe)... but i'm from Argentina and it should be AMXLA.
What if i use the wrong version?

You should be fine still. All the XT1527s have the same radio bands, so flashing another region's radio isn't going to mess anything up. The only difference would probably be pre-installed system languages (AMXLA might default to Spanish, Canada might default to English, etc), and any pre-installed apps.
If your XT1527 is dual-SIM, however, you'll need to grab an XT1527 firmware with "DS" in the file name. Ones without "DS" are for single-SIM devices.

Excellent, i saw what you say with DS/DSTV versions in the Mega folder. Is there anything important like the difference of "DEFAULT/RGRCA/TELUS/etc" ?

DS is dual-SIM, meant for dual-SIM devices. DSTV is dual-SIM and TV, which I'm pretty sure is exclusive to Brazil.
I'm not entirely sure what DEFAULT stands for (you'd think it would just mean a standard stock OS, but I see "DEFAULT" on other ROMs that have carrier bloat, so I'm unsure). RGRCA and TELUS are Canadian carriers, so those two XT1527 ROMs are probably tailored to them in some way.

unlocked sprint S9+ to romstock samsung

Hello
I have an unlocked S9 + US from the operator Sprint:
model's number: SM-G965U
Version : G965USQU3ARG2
oeprator soft ver: SAOMC_SM-G95U_OYN_SPR_00_0089
36514b5658543098
SPR/XAA/SPR
unlocked with them : https://store.unlockboot.com/unlock-samsung-phone/
It works perfectly with my french SIM but I want to flash it with an official samsung US rom to eliminate all traces of the sprint rom, could I still use my French and Algerian SIM please? Any risk with a standard flash? Where can I find the stock rom?

dont flash a USA carrier firmware set for it (theyre not ROMs when you flash them in Odin, theyre called firmware). Flash the firmware with a multi CSC, preferably one that contains your needed CSC

that error wont cause any issues other than just plain being super annoying. Each USA carrier has something stupid built into their firmware that causes silly headaches like this. If you get a notif in the pulldown area, you should be able to long press on it and tell android to ignore it. If not, you might just need to find the U1 version of android 10 and flash that on your phone so it doesnt know its a sprint phone anymore. Phone amnesia for lack of a better way to describe it LoL
THX very much but I dont where I can find this U1 version of android 10 for s9+? Last question can I install a french firmware version?

you can install a French version if you like, but the U1 version is the unbranded version and you can just pick whatever language you want upon install. Honestly, i would just flash this https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...SM-G965U1/XAS/download/G965U1UEU7DTA5/314795/ by using patched Odin which can be found here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572
THX very after installation I insert my simcard. I have a message like my phone import info from sim card and now no message error and the CSC is XAA, no sign about SPR.
it seems good.

Can You Flash T-Mobile Firmware On An AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 SM-T878U

I bought an unlocked SM-T878U for AT&T and since the tablet for T-Mobil has the same model number for either provider, can I Flash the firmware for the T-Mobile Tab S7 onto my tablet without any problems? Sorry if this has been asked I searched around for over an hour and didn't find the info I wanted.
Edit: this is the 5G version not the LTE but both are 5G
Thanks
Yes... you can flash firmware from the same model.
T-Mobile and AT&T should be using the same firmware (T878USQU1BUAC).
Your SIM card and device CSC determines what carrier specific apps and features to load.
Thanks for the info mine is using a different version then the one you listed I just don't want to brick a tablet I just paid 500 for...

ATK1 is an older version. Just make sure whatever version you flash is for the same model number. T878U.
It will install without issue... make sure to flash HOME_CSC to keep all of your data, apps, and settings.
Thank you for the info and I didn't know that home CSC would keep all my data... Thank you.

You're welcome.
The rule applies to all Samsung firmware.
Flash CSC_OMC to do a clean install.
Flash Home_CSC to keep your stuff.
That did not work I downloaded the firmware and flashed it and now it just goes to recovery mode and won't even boot up anymore figures this would happen, just the way this year has been going, you have a place I could download a good firmware to just completely nuke it and go back to stock? It was stock before I mean I just tried to put the T-Mobile Version on.
From this site, https://galaxyfirmware.com/model/SM-T878U and I used this build number T878USQU1BUAC
Edit: Edit it did end up finally booting up after doing the app repair function in the recovery and also a factory data reset but still says AT&T only thing that has changed is I now have android 11 lol
I just want to get all the att stuff out so I can use the t-mobile texting and whatnot I can't use that now because of the att junk.
It is like a VIRUS infesting it.
Again thank you for all the help.

Looks like you'll have to manually change you CSC.
This post has some advice on how to get this done.
SM-T978U Odin Firmware Flash
Purchased a sim unlocked SM-T978U (Verizon Tab S7+ 5G) and am trying to flash the unlocked or Tmobile stock firmware to it. I've gotten "passed" flashes everything when flashing all of the files from the corresponding stock firmwares, but...
forum.xda-developers.com
Also make sure you are using a patched version of Odin when flashing packages... I assumed you know that, but in case not, here is a link to download it... https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262903995077
From all the digging I did. It is not possible as you have to unlock the bootloader to change the CSC. And well I spent over 3 days on this crap to no avail. I just sold my ATT model and bought the tmobile version. So ridiculous that Samsung does not just sell an unlocked version to avoid this hassle. Very annoying.

Debranding Samsung Galaxy s21 - android 11 - possible?

Hi
Is there any effective method for debranding Galaxy S21 with android 11?
I have CSC from Play (Polish operator) and I would like to upload XEO. I tried odin and samkey and despite the "positive" completion of the operation (both applications say so), the Play brand is still on the phone.
thanks

1. How can I check if I have "an unlocked exynos variant"?
2. I don't really care about call recording, but rather about removing operator branding. Is it possible?

Hi
If you have a G991B it should be possible to flash any (exynos) rom , even if the phone is carrier lock .
How did you do it ( the flashing), what files did you use , home_csc or csc?

Nope. you can switch between U and U1 firmware but nothing really changes but if you try to flash other model firmware you either get an error or possibly brick the device. Samsung made sure the north American models wouldn't be able to be unlocked to be able to unlock the bootloader ever.

Does this mean that if I have activated my U1 in North America using a US Sim Card I still can not use a SIM card from another country while traveling? Or does the restriction go away once I activated it?

SIM lock ≠ OEM LOCK
I'm pretty sure you can just swap your SIM if you wanted (as long as your CSC is unlocked carrier like XAA)
