Amazon Fire 8" 7th Edition connect to Smart TV - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hi,
I have an Amazon Fire 8" 7th Edition with a mini USB outlet. I want to show my Fire movies on my Samsung smart TV in Spain. I DO NOT have any internet access. My TV has HDMI inputs and (i think a USB input.
Question. How can I show my Fire tablet movies on my TV?
Amazon said their older models could cable connect but not the newer ones- which seems to be a reduction in capability.
Help appreciated
regards

You can not as the mini USB port can not serve (send) video content. The last Amazon device to support mini-HDMI output was the 2nd gen HD 7/8.9 which was discontinued in 2013.
Amazon also disabled Android's native Miracast screen mirroring on FireOS . Google Chromecast mirroring does not work well for video output even if you could get it working on FireOS which is doubtful.
Amazon would really prefer you use their Firestick which requires an internet connection.

microUSB > USB HOST adapter [working]; microUSB > HDMI adapter [not working]

Hi guys,
1) I bought Nokia USB OTG HOST cable like this, and it works very well
2) I also bought Samsung Galaxy S2 HDMI adapter like this,
to try on Sony Tablet S.
Unfortunatelly (as I thought) - its not working.
So anyone who thinks about buying one - don't buy it(for now).
Maybe someone knows if other adapter would work?
Maybe HDMI support via microUSB port could be added
in software, of course after we will get root?

I too would also like to know if this would be possible. If i root my Sony S tablet would that help,or there is a custom rom i could flash to my Sony Tablet to enable the use of a micro usb-to-HDMI cable for video/audio output to my 42"LCD TV. I only ask bcuz none of my TV's are wifi/DLNA capable & Id like to use the Sony tablet for streaming Netflix to my TV's. I recently upgraded to the Epic 4G Touch/Galaxy S II & i would rather use my tablet for streaming than my Galaxy S II. Thanks for any info
It would be pretty cool to play a nice graphics game on the Tablet S with it displaying on the 42 monitor!

Folks, this tablet does not have HDMI out. Even when it's possible to root it, that won't help.

Galaxy S2 doesnt have HDMI out, and work with adapter. How can you be so sure that its not possible?
Hi Condi,
While the Galaxy S2 doesn't have an HDMI socket like you'd have on your TV, it does have the electonics required to do HDMI over microUSB. Unfortunately the Sony doesn't have this because Sony decided to use DLNA instead, mainly because their TV's have this functionality.
I did quite a bit of research on this subject before buying this tablet and confirmed it with Sony UK.
Sadly it's pretty typical of Sony to build their gadgets to work best with their own devices. Another example of this practice is the proprietory power connector that means you have to use their £30 power adaptor, which is pretty pricey for a mobile power adaptor if you ask me. It also means there is currently no car charger for it, which is extremely annoying too.

can i use my android as a wireless headphone?

can i use my android as a wireless headphone?
i want to watch football at midnight
but i dont want to wake my Family Members up
so I want to play the sound of the TV in my mobile phone and mute the TV
Is there any method?
My phone is LG Optimus G Pro and my TV is LG Smart TV
This looked interestring , although it requires a laptop and a 3.5mm audio cable, probably some PC software as well:

The app it mentions is a paid one by the way.

4K TV Arriving Today

I have a JVC 65" 4K TV arriving today and am wondering what the best Android mini pc or stick would be to play 4K content on it. The TV itself unfortunately doesn't have any of the smart apps so I can't stream Netflix or Amazon 4K (the fact that I got the TV for $1,299 makes up for that) and I know their Android apps don't currently allow it either, but I figured I could install Ultraflix or YouTube on a 4K capable box and am wondering which is the best. Right now my research is leaning me towards a box with a Amlogic S812 chip. Any other suggestions?

Video output

Hi I intend to get one of the M5 Pr's but I have one question before doing that.
I come from a NVidia Shield K1 and so I'm used to have the Tab connected via HDMI for watching vids in Hotels.
So is it possible to use an USB-C -> HDMI adapter with the M5 Pro?
Thanks in advance.

Can you please post the used Adapter for it, if it works. I tried at the office with an LG 21:9 Display and am not sure, whether the resolution was too much, whether the adapter did not work, or whether it is not supported

I found an article on notebookcheck.com. They tested the normal M5 Pad and found that HDMI is not possible.
What was your outcome with the Pro Model?

Didn't get it to run as of yet. But I've another connector and an App installed. Will check this evening again. Am out in the sun at the moment.
Edit 04/23: sorry for being late on here. Didn't have the time to check yesterday, but promise that I will have this evening for sure.

Tried yesterday with USB-2-HDMI Adapter. Notebook is working. Huawei M5 8.4 is not giving any signal.
There is this line in the Vendor build.prop file:
ro.hdmi.service=false
Might be worth experimenting with.

thanks for your answer, but this would not help since amazon is not working with chromecast in offline mode. But it is similar to the answer someone gave on Android-Hilfe.de
Reading in other Huawei sections, seems no others support mhl or slimport. So I don't think it's capable of video output.
So what would be the options for outputting video to a TV screen? I've always used a micro HDMI cable on my current (old!) Tesco Hudl2 tablet, but if cabled connections aren't available, what is the wireless format to use? Miracast or Chromecast don't seem to support all video formats and I'm not sure the quality would be as good as HDMI cable.

I think Miracast (not sure if supported on M5) always work because it is mirror what is on the device screen to the big screen? But it drains your battery fast because the screen must be on at the same time.

Thank you. I've checked, and the M5 does support Miracast (Wifi Direct). I've been trying to test the quality of Miracast using my current phone (S7 Edge) and various receivers, and from what I've seen so far, it doesn't look good enough to play locally stored movies at 1080p or 720p without lag / stuttering.
Chromecast might be an alternative as this sends the compressed file data and not the screen, but as far as I can see this supports only limited container types and codecs. Most of my movie files are MKV, which isn't supported, and some have dolby audio which again isn't supported.
Disappointing, as a quality video out is the only thing missing from the M5 for my current use.
I just bought a Chromecast and I am thinking of returning it ...
I can mirror my desktop mode from the m5 Pro via "Connect" in winodws 10 to my computer but not to my Chromecast ...

Return it, Miracast (M5, Windows) is not Chromecast (Google). If you want to cast it to a TV, you need something like this.
https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/products/adapters/wireless-display-adapter-2/p3q-00001
Already did so....
are you positive this definetly works?
DONT!!! Buy from good companies. Wifi problems, no android 10, no dark mode, no headphone jack ....
Hi guys -- I tired with the m5 version -- doesn't work! I personally have a Matebook x pro and a mate 20 --both worked on a projection! -- So lets hope the put in an update soon ?

How to pair a J2 Prime to Fire Stick TV?

I recently bought a Fire Stick TV box by Amazon but I just realize my J2 Prime doesn´t come with the smart view feature so I can´t paired the two using the mirror feature of the Fire Stick TV box.
I´ve also tried like 20 different apps from the play store and nothing.
Is there a way around this?
Cheers!!
