Okay, first of all, I'm new to here, still.
I have a very huge problem. For some reason, my phone is blocking ads, without even having anything that would be able to block ads.
How can I fix this so the ads are visible again? I need to fix this because some websites do not show any images or not allow me to do anything as long as my phone keeps blocking ads in the internet.
Oh also, for some reason all of the internet apps (stock, Chrome, Puffin, etc.) in my android phone blocks ads without anything, but my phone cannot block ads from other programs or games.

When I had Gingerbread 2.3.3 I used Droidwall to block any apps that had adverts inside it.
Now in Jelly Bean blocking an app still doesn't stop adverts showing inside of it. I know it's something to do with some program being able to access the internet because in Flight Mode there is no adverts.
How can you beat Jelly Bean and block the program that is detecting whether your device has internet connection or not? (It's not market feedback agent / play store, tried those already)
Thanks

I use AdAway
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.adaway&hl=en
This blocks via host files, and generally any ads within any Apps as well, since it's a system-wide block. Some ad-based referral links may be interfered though.

I tried something interesting. I set Droidwall to block ALL APPS, and the ads still show inside of apps lol. So I guess Jelly Bean has a different way of doing things, making it harder to block adverts.
Hmm I've downloaded Adfree, gets rid of some adverts in certain apps but not all. Might try AdAway in conjunction.
all of a sudden, i started getting these pop ups ads within google chrome, and new ad banners are popping up on websites that don't have ads. at the bottom of the ads, it says 'ads by cloudscout' which i found out to be malware.
but i don't know how to remove it! i've tried AVG, bitdefender, and malwarebytes, and they all scan my phone and say it's clean.
any ideas on how to get rid of it, aside from wiping my phone?
i'm using a sony xperia z3 with android 4.4.4
After updating my device (oneplus x) there are too much ads are coming while turning on the Wifi... I can see ads while using whatsapp or YouTube or typing something... I even see ad after switching on the Wifi..
I don't know what to do. So please reply me for the trouble
Uninstall all cleaner apps and cracked apps...If this won't work try to reinstall your system and stay away from those apps.
Well you can always block ads
Download Lucky Patcher and install it on your phone. Lucky patcher allows you to block all ads. Just play with it a little
I have a LS992 that has yet to be rooted. At this point I've lost at hope that it'll ever happen. Anyways I'm currently using dns66 to block ads but I'm noticing quite a few ads getting thru in apps so I'm looking for another option? Any ideas?
Also are there any options out there for YouTube ad block an background play without root an xposed beyond paying for red? I used to have the xposed modules for it on my g3 an miss it so much

You can download an app called newpipe to watch YouTube videos without ads, it also supports background playback.
You can get it on https://f-droid.org/
Use Adguard for anything else, it blocks adds ij every app w/o root.
Hi guys got a poco f1 running miui 10.2.3.0. I keep getting full screen adverts that pop while the phone is on home screen and Facebook and camera (even whilst recording) amongst other odd situations. Sometimes i unlock my phone to find a full screen advert has popped up. If i press the square button to see open/running apps when it pops up you can see the ad pop up is running in chrome. I am aware that xiaomi puts adverts on their phones but until recently i never had these kind of ads that are so intrusive and trying all the usual ways to get rid of the ads (changing region, turning of recommendations on apps and settings) has not seemed to work. I even downloaded an ad block app but still no luck. Its annoying because their the only ads that annoy me and have ruined a good few videos already. Please someone help me get these adverts to go away.
Check if you have installed any new app recently because pocophone miui does not have ads like other xiaomi miui.
Find the culprit app and uninstall it immediately.
You probably have a scam app installed or some sort of virus
Try a virus scan + delete the malicious app
If this doesn't work try with a fresh install of the latest Global (remember to backup first) or some adblocking app like Blokada
