Where to download official firmware? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know only Google and Fairphone have all official firmware available to download directly in official website.
But what is for Samsung, Huawei, Sony, LG, Motorola, HTC?
Do you know if they hosts all official firmware available for their devices ?
Thanks,
TD.

HTC Europe No Upgrades???

Well I was poking around http://www.europe.htc.com when I found this http://www.europe.htc.com/support/faq.html?id=44 which says:
"What is the latest software version available for my device? Updates are made available via your operator's web-site. You will need to visit their site to find the latest version."
weird...

Original GB ROM for IRAQ and other RTL supports regions released yet?!

the question is in the title... is it released yet?!
If you're asking about the 2.3 (i.e. v20) ROM, the answer is no. I have contacted LG Service on twitter and they said that this update will not be available in this region. Unfortunately.

Most uptodate & best official firmware

How should I choose between these firmwares?

What version need i to update it to latest stock firmware android 6 or higher ?
c185? it's from the middle east region, right?
Honestly I'm not familiar with your model, so my suggestion is: download Firmware Finder from the Play Store, and check for the latest firmware available it automatically detects your model, gives you a list with all the updates available (both incremental and full OTA), and this way you are sure to choose the right file.
ypu can download latest firmware from huawei site and flash it manually to update

Huawei regionalization question (regions and deployments)

Hello,
I am new to Huawei and wanted to understand more how Huawei was differentiating their devices for each markets. If anyone can comment on the aspect they know for sure, please do so. If unsure, it's ok, but please refrain from misleading.
I just receive a BLA-L29 (C636). Are there many models of the Mate 10 Pro, specifically the BLA-L29? Is the C636 the submodel version number (if so, what is that code called, likely not a submodel). Is there a mapping of those models and the markets/regions they are meant for?
Are firmware deployments by regions only done over OTA? If so, do all devices get them or only when in the region on one of the carriers supported? Any official firmware file distribution, or OTA is the only official method of distribution? Firmware finder is the only other unofficial tool I know of, outside the firmware thread, any other alternative of distributing official firmware for the Huawei devices?
And last but not least, if I know the precise model I have, how is the best way to search for, say firmware 8.0.0.142... Firmware Finder or something/somewhere else?
Cheers, thanks for introducing me to the Huawei hardware variations.
