Recommended rom for daily use ?
Stock rom or there is ones way better
Any 4.4 based rom. Stock or CM based should do the work. However touchwiz based is better.
Threads like these have no place because it is personal preference. Stock roms are the most reliable and efficient. Custom roms are less reliable, less efficient but customised.

So what are your opinions on stock vs custom ROMs?
I generally use custom roms. Are stock ROMs considered to be more stable and bug free?
I find Cyanogen usually has some bugs
Too soon to say, it will take a while untill we can get some stable roms.
I always was happy with cyanogen mod on the i9000, it was running smoother and in case of cm7 even had vorher battery life than stock roms. However the problem with cm always was that we never got a final build, cm7 is outdated already and cm9 is running on most cm'd devices and cm7 is at rc3 now. But i am pretty sure i will give cm a try again when it will be available for the g3.

is it true that custom roms begin to lagg after a while ? and more and more ram is used ? i only need boeffla sound mod , if i stay with stock sammy and boeffla kernel its as stable as pure stock?
After trying most of the ROMs here i can honestly say that in most cases sammy based roms are more stable and provide better battery life. Personally I don't like the touchwiz interface... it all depends if you're willing to sacrifice battery and go with something different like MIUI.

You could try perkas kernel, virtually stock, but latest has boeffla
What is the best ROM, performance wise for this device?
You need to look for an CM/AOSP ROM not stock. Because CM/AOSP ROMs has better performance and more customization, however, battery life and stability is worse than stock.
It's not easy to find the best ROM because each one has his own requirements, thus, you need to try the ROMs and see what you like.
Roms to look for:
1. liquid smooth
2. Omega
3. Neat ROM
4. Dirty Unicorns
Hey guys, looking to flash my stock AT&T E970 to a custom ROM. I've done some research and it seems the two most popular are the KK 4.4.2 versions of CM (CM 12.0) and Liquid Smooth.
I'm looking for these things in this priority:
1) Most important is that the ROM is reliable, stable, and bug free.
2) Also important is that the ROM opens apps/browses the web quickly and smoothly without a lot of delay.
3) Least important are the total features and how current the OS.
So basically, if I have to run an older version of Android that's reliable and smooth, I would prefer that over a newer version.
With that criteria in mind, what do you guys think is the best custom ROM for the E970? Appreciate the input.
I tried all found that MIUI is more stable than other Rom. RR and lineage have some bugs. I didnt found any on MIUI. What are your thoughts guys.
Maybe the best of the two worlds? A custom ROM based on MIUI?
My next try will be surely the Mi-globe ROM, where you can also choose the components to be included.
I prefer custom rom.
Using AOSP Extended and it's nice.
Give it a try.
Custom rom will have some bugs that's main issue. If I wanna use rom for daily driver it should be bug free. So Native roms of device are better than custom ones. It can be used by rooting and doing tweaks to official roms.
I'm having issue with gps while using MIUI. Maybe it's just my phone.
Haven't try custom MIUI.
Currently I'm using Slim rom because I prefer stock Android experience. No issue with gps.
dude seriously!!! Custom Roms Like Aex/Rr are officially Fully Stable no Bug On Em.. only minor Bugs Which are negligible so If u want to try ill recommend Aex Which is fully stable and u can use it as daily driver without any problem and battery backup is same on all rom it depends on ur usages.

I will give it a try Aex( I tried MIUI 9 china beta ,lineage OS and Rr)
I guess it depends on the end user. I mean, I have used MIUI, COOL UI, Zen UI etc. I would say, every ROM is good in their own. I personally prefer stock ROM. One of the reason for me is that Custom ROM (Cool UI on Coolpad Note 5) sometimes creates laggy experience.
The main thing that I didn't like in MIUI is some of the cool notification things that are present in Stock Android. That's why I switched to Lineage, Resurrection Remix, and finally on AOSP Extended.
Is it miui or another custom rom? Im asking because while miui has 300k on antutu i have seen custom roms at 200k or even lower.
antutu score isnt a clear indication. oxygen os port for poco (latest april23rd build) is good.
for miui... miuipro roms are great.
Most custom ROMs are coming with multiple performance profiles. The main difference is, you have to configure them manually on custom roms whereas on miui stock or miui based custom roms, they get adjusted automatically. So, if you wanna do the benchmark test on a custom rom, make sure to use the "benchmark" (or whatever the name is) profile. Apart from that, both stock and custom roms are good. It depends on the preference.
