Hi,
I have been searching in the forum without luck. Is there any face for the Pace where you can see if you have notifications?
Many can be configured to show date/HR/steps/etc but why not a notification counter or icon?
Thanks

There's a limited number of things you can display, built into the watch.
Notifications isn't one of the things you can display on and therefore isn't possible. It would require a change on the watch software.

Does anyone know how/if there is a way to prevent notifications from appearing on top of the watch face?
With my original Moto 360 / Android Wear, there was an option to disable this. You could still scroll down to see your notifications and still get vibrate notifications to let you know you got something new. But the notification would not cover the watch face. Any ideas?
This is usually an option on the actual watch face you are using. If there is no option, the watch face probably just has a default that you can't change.
If you are using stock faces from Android Wear, open the app on your phone, select the cog by your watch, then select your watch under your device settings. Scroll down to Card settings and if you want previews to appear.

Thank you! I didn't know there was another menu when I tap my device from the settings menu. This fixes everything, thanks!
Struggling with this also. Nothing stops the watch from blasting a HUGE notification on my screen. This is seriously a major flaw in android wear. They need to copy what the Apple watch does. If you arent looking at your watch, the notification shouldn't show on the screen. When you LOOK at the watch, poof, there it is.
Its getting annoying having everyone reading text messages on my wrist when I receive them. Even if I block the content of the message, they can still see I am receiving one, how often, and their contact picture.
This is seriously a major privacy issue.
Guys,
For those out there who have this phone or are still testing. Can you:
Set different ringtones by contact (I can see you can only set 1 ringtone by SIM card in settings)?
Can you assign different notifications per app? Eg: a different sound to SMS receive compared to email received -- Can you set notification sounds in the native app itself while disabling the normal Huawei system notification otherwise?
LED notification PULSE light. Any one take a video of it displaying in the dark?
Can you set different LED colours by different notifications using a 3rd party app like LIGHTFLOW? Not sure if it has Pie support yet...
The fact that there's a 99% likelihood this phone cannot be unlocked to customise as I see fit is a big turnoff, meaning a lot of useful apps I have to go without...making Huawei stand up and tick more boxes is now extremely important
Any help is appreciated

Based from my limited reading, the OS itself is preventing this. I am a big fan of customized ringtones and notifications too. I'd know when it's my wife calling or when it's work or something else. I'm not closing my doors on this. I hope we'll get a solution real soon.
If you use Google contacts, click on the contact go to the 3 dots on the top right in the menu there is set ringtone
Google messages, settings, notifications, sounds
If you go to settings, apps, notifications, sounds you can set different tones for almost any app
weird, I don't see any "notifications" under apps as you've said

Even without Google contacts you can set tones for different people in the stock dialer contacts app, go to edit the contact and at the bottom there is a tab saying "more fields" and it will allow you to set custom ringtone. If you go to settings then apps and click the app you want to customize and at the very top it'll say 'notification management" click on that and then click on sound, and then you can pick a sound.

When you go into each app settings there is a notification option, sometimes it is under miscellaneous or more options.

I use Light Manager 2 from Google Play. Works pretty well for me with customisable colours of the LED.

In the stock contact app if you click on the contact person and edit, then go to more fields at the bottom there's a ringtone option there.

awesome, cheers for that. Shame it only lets you select from the start of the song. Coming from Samsung, it would give you that option as well as suggesting the "best" part of the track for a ring tone. which always worked really well. Do you know if there's anything like that in the software or even a 3rd party app that can do it?
The article is in italian you can translate it with google:

Thanks for the info, here is the translated version:
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has just been presented and someone has called it an "Mi 8" without notch. Perhaps the comparison is decidedly exaggerated, but other than that it is the notch to have spoken badly of the top of the range for a long time, because of the fact that Xiaomi until now at the software level did not allow the management of notifications . And so the owners of the device in question will be happy, as the Chinese OEM has finally decided to remedy thanks to the MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.10.25 , released a few hours ago, which in addition to correcting some bugs of various nature, brings finally the notifications visible in the status bar.
A sensational news, so if you have received the MIUI Global Beta 8.10.25 update on your Xiaomi Mi 8, maybe you have not noticed the news because you have to make a small step to enable the function. You will therefore have to go to the Phone Settings and look for the Notifications menu and status bar from where you can activate the new option EXHIBIT ICONS FOR NOTIFICATIONS COMING SOON.
After this simple step, here are the notifications finally appear in the staus bar in the upper left , replacing the clock that instead reigned supreme until recently. It should be noted, however, that the notifications on the status bar of Xiaomi Mi 8 will be shown for a few seconds, after which the watch will return to its place. To make them appear again just turn off and unlock the display again.
The notifications displayed will be at most 4 and this of course is due to the limited space available due to the noticious notch, but when the notifications will rise above the number established in the status bar will appear the last 3 in chronological order while the others will come grouped together with a dot that will indicate the presence of further notifications.
Finally, a further innovation concerns the Always On Display which now seems to show the badge of other applications , such as WhatsApp. Therefore double surprise for the owners of Mi 8 that now will enjoy a truly perfect phone.
Working nicely. And missing notifications is now fixed for all apps now, finaly.
Any screenshot ?
Hi all,
I just got my Stratos and got a few questions wich I can't find here...
Running latest 2.3.7.
- I receive all my notifications double on my watch, no matter if it's Gmail, Outlook, Linkedin, Whatsapp etc etc. I only have the Amazfit app installed, nothing more.
- I there a way to adjust date format to EU standard (dd-mm-yyyy)?
- How can I add other sports/activities? I made one in the app but it doesn't show up in the watch. I want to track my Hiit training sessions like Les Mills Gritt (on fitbit yuo can use kickboxing or aerobis for this).
- I want to use the watch to control my music on my phone/tablet. Sometimes the music controller shows up in the watchface after swiping up but sometimes not and nitifications show up. How to call it in front?
- Every few seconds the watchface seems locked and I have to press middle button and after that upper before I can swipe the screen. Can you make this more easy?
- On my Garmin and Fitbit if I receive a notification I can see it directly on my watch without pressing buttons. How do I do that with the Stratos? Do I realy need to enter notification menu?
But most annoying for now is the double notification. Hope that someone can explain this to me...
edit: I just notice that the double notification is not exactly the same. If I get an email first notification is the email wich I can tap top open and read the whole email. 2nd notification is only a message with the subject which I can't open further.
edit2: seems like I receive 1 notification with that are emails. and a 2nd one with the email itself. Just recievd 4 mails in 5 seconds. Watch says: 1st notification you have got 4 outlook message. Then I have 4 extra notifications with those email messages.
Maybe it's because of Novalauncher/Teslaunread/Android one on my phone.
- Dateformat is not changeable in WFZ watchfaces, you have to search for an App WF
- No you can't create your own activities.
- music, no clue, don't use it.
- That is the reason why the watch has such a long battery live, if it goes into standby mode the screen is off.
- If you want a Garmin functionality, stay with garmin. This is how it works on the Stratos
Install watch Droid. Use that for all your notifications and to control music on the phone.

In the Amazfit app you can make an sport. Howcome you can't import it to the watch, whats the use of that function then.
It's a sports watch but gym activities like weight lifting or cardio are not included.
My fitbit also uses the standby modus, but aftre flicking the wrist (like the stratos) it comes to live and unlocks itself. No need to push buttons.
I just wanted to try something different the Garmin and Fitbit and this one looked stylish for daily wear.
I hope I can sort the notifications out. That and sports are the mean reason I use a smart sport watch.

Just installed it.
Is there an easy way to get in the notifications from watch droid?
I get around a notification every minute (busy job...)
You could install quick launcher so that you have easy access to watch Droid from the watch screen, but it interferes with custom keyboards if you're using those.
Alternately the paid version of watch Droid allows a notification to also be created within the watch notifications, which you can click to open the larger notification in watch droid

Thanks for the tip, I'm gonna try that out...
I also am a sportinstructor and wanted to use the watch to start/stop the music on my ipad while teaching the class.
That mostly work (can't find out when it does and when it doesn't) but it's not working when I track the excersice in sport on the watch. Then you can't control the music.
Is there any way to control the music (on Ipad) when you are inside a sport activity?
Also I'm still missing a way to track my Hiit training sport activity. In some video's etc I see aerobics as an activity. That one I can use. But it's not in my stratos.
Haven't figured how to change music on the phone during an activity unfortunately.
Stratos doesn't have an option to track HIIT. Some people have reported using elliptical to track gym workouts, but I've not tried that
I got my 47mm GTR yesterday and I was expecting to be able to see notification icons on the watchface like I would do on my phone AOD, quickly check on my watch if i had any messages or missed calls then reach out to my phone if I would.
However, there is no option or watchface showing this. Do you know any app that would allow this?
So can you see a notification icon on the homescreen watchface ... or do you need to dig into menus to check if you missed any notifications?
Same here... just an ugly "APP" icon...
