Hello
I own this phone for 1 year, botloader is unlocked officialy, ihave rooted it and istalled "Nexus Experience 11.0 for Redmi Note 3 SD [7.1.2r24]" and it worked perfectly,
last week i flashed Nitrogen os oreo, i had no issues . But last thursday, i realised that i had no service with my phone, iflashed again the rom and last firmware , but after this my sim card wasn't detected, My imei are ok.
When i want to call anyone, phone says "turn off airplane to make a call".

Hi,
I bought recently a Redmi 2 Enhanced (2 Gb)
Code:
Redmi 2 Enhanced (2Go RAM / 16 Go)
HM 2LTE-CU
Networks: TDD-LTE/FDD-LTE/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA/GSM
Android 4.4.4 KTU84P
MIUI 5.8.20 | Beta
Base band MPSS.DPM.1.0.c7.18-00023-M8916EAAAANUZM-1-all15
Kernel 3.10.28-gf3355b2
It was working well with my two SIM cards (Free Mobile, France ; Mobinil, Egypt).
I installed Cyanogenmod 11 (cm-11-20150829-UNOFFICIAL-hm2014811) and gapps (gapps-444-base-20150818-1-signed).
It changed also the recovery for CWM recovery.
It worked fine, but the two SIM's are now flagged "No service". If I try to call a number, the phone asks me to switch off the plane mode, which is already switched off. I switched it on and off back, without any result.
I found a similar problem on this link: /thread-125218-1-1.html on forum en.miui.com
He says: "my redmi was working fine but then accidently my recovery was flashed by cwm recovery so I have flashed my phone with China ROM LINK V6.5.3.0.KHJCNCD because global rom is not working, my redmi is 2014813 so global rom does not works and Now I have got my MIUI recovery back but my both Reliance and Airtel SIM are not working there is a message in both tower NO SERVICE."
He says further : "My problem is solved I flashed my recovery with twrp 2014811 version then installed the latest global rom everything is working fine."
I tried it: installed twrp 2014811 and xiaomi.eu_multi_HM2014811_5.8.20_v7-4.4, without getting back my SIM!
I finally used MiFlash to bootflash my phone with wt88047_images_V6.6.4.0.KHJCNCF_20150721.0000.5_4.4_cn_159a7e83ed.tgz.
And the problem is still there: I have no service anymore on both SIMs!
Any help?
Thanks,
Remi
Solved by using wt86047_images_V6.6.4.0.KHJCNCF_4.4_cn image
1. Delete lines 10 and 11 in file "flash_all.bat" (lines containing "*MSM8916").
2. Flashboot with flash_all option.
My phone's SIM card is not working as expected:
- it is recognized (The phone asks me for the password when he detects the SIM card and code is accepted)
- it says "No service" and of course, I do not get any services (no phone calls, SMS or data)
My history on this device so far (in case it matters):
- This SIM card worked when I received the phone from gearbest (and I upgraded to latest MIUI 8.0.5) and I could make a test call and send/receive SMS.
- Then I wanted to install CM13, I had to go to the unlocking procedure that didn't work as expected and required me to install Global Dev Roms (and this didn't work as expected) so I finished by flashing nearly all of the ROMs (Global, Global dev, China, china dev) using EDL mode. Quite quickly I notice that I lost functionalities upon the simcard : on some ROMs it would not even been seen (no sim card displayed, nor Wifi).
- I had to resort to a bootloader hack to reach unlocked state because official way did not work at all (blocked at 50%). And got on my way to install CM13... most ROMs would have the exact same problem than the official images: no sim card detected (and no Wifi neither BTW).
- It is only on the very latest ROMs for kenzo CM13, (> 2016-10) that I got back Wifi and sim card detection. Unfortunately, the sim card is still in Emergency mode and states "No Service"
- I flashed many NON-HLOS.bin with TWRP without seeing any changes (7.1.7 and 7.1.8 for the latest), but would be happy to get a link to the latest ones to continue trying.
- flashing the radio.zip mentionned in many comments breaks back to the "no Wifi and no SIM card detected" state, hopefully re-flashing NON-HLOS.bin 7.1.8 has re-enable previous better but incomplete state.
More raw info:
- the sim card is valid: it works in another phone straight away
- the antenna cable seems securely fastened (I opened the phone just to check this)
- I still have an IMEI when dialing *#06#, and it matches the number written on the sticker inside the phone.
- it behaves strangely when using the test interface *#*#4636#*#* : no network is displayed, has network type of "LTE/GSM auto (PRL)" that I can't change despite the many other choices listed in the menu. I can't also turn on radio signal.
Any help/suggestions to get back my 3G/4G SIM card services ?

Thanks to @corkiejp:
I don't have Kenzo (Standard Chinese Redmi Note 3 Pro) architecture but Kate (International Redmi Note 3 Special Edition).
How to check your version.
I needed only to flash the correct KATE radio firmware to sort it out.
Flash correct fastboot rom for your device again
@vaab69 Are you sure you have the "Kenzo" version? Maybe you got the "Kate" model and are flashing the wrong roms for your device.
Telling the Redmi Note 3 Pro (Kenzo) and Special Edition (Kate) apart!

Can you be more precise ? What is "correct" fastboot rom ? I have many of them, and already flashed all of the official ones (stables and dev, global and chinese, MIUI) and that didn't bring my SIM services back.

Wow, thanks, this was it ! I spent a lot of time on this skimming through many places. Dunno how I have not came across this !
I just applied the kate radios, and Tada ! it worked.
More info BTW for any other guy stumbling on this thread and wanting to get straight with KATE:

Is there any special things to do on the thread to mark it resolved, or to thank you ?
@vaab69 You could edit your original post in advance mode and Include "[Resolved]" in the title.
dear seniors, believe me i've tried to search for awhile for a solution and posts with similar problem, but unfortunately i coundlnt find it.
so here's the deal,
i am in indonesia, for some reason certain certain xiaomi devices that is sold in here is bootloader locked and 4G LTE BLOCKED.
unsatisfied with the condition i tried to find a solution for that and yes, the answer is there.
after fooling around for a few days (official unlock request and granted, rom flashing, and custom recovery flashing), i managed to somehow break the device (baseband "unknown", and IMEI missing for both sim slots). Tried to find a solution (yes, there was a solution to this), but before executing the solution, because it seems it can only recover IMEI in sim slot 1, i tried to flashback the rom with the original official rom (global stable 8.0.5.0) and the problem was fixed, both IMEI EXISTED.
so i assume the problem was gone, kept using it for few days with only 1 sim card, everything was fine, but then i tried to use 2 sim cards at the same time, and there it goes like this :
- when i use both sim slots, both sim card keeps restarting to find a signal, its like they cannot get a hold on a stable signal.
- when i use only sim 1, but sim 2 is used for SD card, everything is good.
- when i use only sim 2, but sim 1 is empty, the problem persisted, the signal keeps on restarting.
by those conditions i assume the problem is in sim card slot 2.
I noticed this redmi note 3 only have 1 IMEI number for both simcards, but i dont think that is the problem, because i checked other redmi note 3 phone, they dont have this problem (they also havent tried to unlocked BL, flash roms, etc) and i also tried to write the IMEI 2 SIM and changed the last number, so the IMEI on sim 1 and sim 2 is different by the last number, but still the problem persisted.
i really hope any one here will be kind enough to help me with this problem.

Not having solution..best bet to read the threads about EFS recovery.
But a question, why have you posted to wrong section? This is Guide section and not Q&A

I bought an Xiaomi Redmi note 3 last month December supposed to be my mom's Christmas gift. I have an Xiaomi Redmi MIUI 7 but the one came was MIUI8.
So I had to downgrade to MIUI 7 then unlock bootloader. - then install CM13. The problem is when I placed her sim card in and try to activate it. MetroPCS said the activation was a success? but the issue was the phone can't detect the sim card and there is no service on the phone.
Stranges part was when I went back to twrp to restore MIUI 8. The phone was able to detect the sim card and I got data service plan.
Does anyone has the same issue? any help please.
im using the rn3 on mpcs and i get service across all roms.
My mido got hardbricked a few months ago and i got it fixed it was on miui 8 and had no service i thought its just a firmware issue so i flashed latest firmware and the problem still exists so i flashed aosp extended still same problem so i flashed qcn file with qtsp still no service and tried flashing latest fastboot rom and still no success the phone detects the sim card and my imei is the ones on the box any help?
