Hello Sir,
To get your RIL working (Sim Card/Signal) you should do some basic things :
1. Try a Factory Reset, it *may* work.
2. Download the latest firmware (no matter for which country is it) from Sammobile and try again to flash it with odin.
3. When the phone is on try to push the power button 5 time quickly, it's working on some Miui Rom, it could work on stock too.
4. Try to put your sim card in other slot if you have a dual sim version of S7 Edge.
5. Try to Flash just the modem.img from the Firmware which you've downloaded.
6. Root it back and flash a Custom rom if those not work or send me your phone, i give 100$ for it :laugh::laugh::laugh:
Oh, and the reason why it fails is because the Firmware that you are flashing has an old Bootloader, Samsung implemented a really stupid thing called "Qualcomm Secure" which don't gives you permission to change/downgrade the Bootloader, maybe using a "Combination Firmware" could work, who knows...

Get Odin from here & your original firmware from here & flash that.
Flash instructions are in the 2nd link & very clear.

also do u know why it doesnt read any of the zip roms on my sdcard?
No, it won't make a massive amount of difference if you flash firmware for another country. What country are you in/what telco do you use ?
No. No idea why CW Recovery can't read any of the roms on your SD card. Sounds like CW Recovery might be broken.
well im from australia with Vodaphone
well i could run the zips just fine before i flashed my phone but after i flashed it, it cant read anyfiles i even tried another sd card same result
I'm with Vodafone as well. Download/flash KJ1.
As I said, something obviously isn't working if it can see any files on the SD card. Flash the stock firmware & we'll go from there.
thankyou, im in the progress of flashing with odin and i put that big file into PDA but were do i put that 5mb kernal in odin? or do i not neet it

Kernal is part of PDA file does not require a separate kernel flash .
jje
um what does that mean, do i ignore it when flashing with odin, i just put the big 500mb file in the PDA section and pressed start i didnt use the 5 mb files
god it didnt work i flashed it with GT-I9100T_VAU_I9100TDUKJ1_I9100TVAUKJ1_I9100TDUKJ1.TAR.md5
and it stuck at the loading S screen then goes to the vodafone screen back and forth??
are you sure your backups are not just on your internal sd and not external?
i managed to install it, but now i cant root, i folowed the rooting guide exactly and succefully flashed the kernal with odin but it says i havent rooted yet
Hello Guys,
I have soft bricked my phone. I was trying to install a new flash for cvm11 (GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9) and it was just looping on start.
I can still enter download mode and recovery mode.
I tryed to folow several guides and helps without success.
I have download the custom I9100GXXLSR_I9100GXXLSP_I9100GDBTLS1_HOME.tar but at the end just says fail...
What is under the battery is this:
SSN: I9100 GSMH
FCC ID: A3LGTI9100
Made in Korea by Samsung
Can someone help and tell me which firmware can i put via ODIN so i can install a Custom ROM?
Thanks in advance...
BR
That stock rom you're trying to flash is failing because it's for I9100G, based on the info under the battery you've provided you have an I9100. You're rather lucky you don't have a bricked phone.
You can flash whatever stock rom you want in Odin, it doesn't matter given you'll be re-rooting your phone immediately after you have it working normally again & re-flashing a custom rom.
Get back to stock & re-root your phone following the instructions in the thread stickied near the top of Q&A, though you will need to download a stock rom from AndroidFirmwares.net or Samsung-Updates.com (make sure you only download I9100 firmware or you may just end up with a bricked phone this time) due to Samfirmware's stuff being currently unavailable as a result of the closure of HotFile. Then you can flash whatever custom rom you want to use from there.
Remove SD Card, Sim Card, Battery... Wait 5-10 minutes, insert Battery (don't insert SD, Sim Card).
Maybe this help you enter Download Mode, then use Odin like MistahBungle instruction. Good luck
Hello. Unfortunately i bricked my phone. Here is the story.
I root the phone with cf auto root. Install recovery, but i forget to make EFS backup. Then install Bootloader and Modem PF1 for G925F - TWRP from carhd thread and then the rom itself. After that i lose mobile network. I can't use my sim card, no IMEI, baseband unknown. Since i don't have EFS backup i tried to flash every stock firmware that i can and nothing fixed the efs. Everytime when i flash stock firmware and reboot the device after flash, the phone boot in stock recovery and it says: "dm-verity verification failed...need to check drk first . The only way to boot the phone is to install twrp and install no-verity-opt-encrypt-2.1 but still no sim detection and no IMEI.. Smart Switch is not working for my phone. How can i fix it?
Lately I've seen so many bricked s6 due to not backing up efs. The most important thing is always make backup.
I had the same error and problems as you and all i did was flash stock to fix it. Try to flash a stock with a newer bl and modem. If stock doesn't fix it im not sure of another way

This guy had exactly the same as you and flashing stock fixed it. Read the posts and flash the fw and pit from there.

Hello XDA. I was trying to restore the EFS in this phone with the GalaxySim unlock App right after flashing the Slimkat ROM which gave me a no signal problem. The IMEI appeared as unknown and baseband too so i proceded to trying to restore the EFS backup i had in my pc.
I followed the procedure by doing tap in restore EFS in the app , chose the EFS folder option and then restarted. After that I can only see the Samsung logo and doesn't boot. Since the beginning i got this used phone I could never load the custom recovery (TWRP) from the button combo, it always went straight to Odin telling me to press vol up to go to download mode.
The only way around to get to TWRP was by using Goomanager and using the reboot to recovery mode option. That's how i managed to install the Slimkat ROM. After that I always get the red exclamation sign while booting but still everything was fine except for the phone signal not working at all.
What can i do now by using only download mode? What are my alternatives?
I hope you can help me.
Thank you.
EDIT 1:
I managed to boot to TWRP with adb shell by "adb reboot recovery"
and when i try to flash a custom ROM or the backup before the Slimkat it shows this error:
"E: failed to mount /efs ".
EDIT 2:
So now that it's a EFS failed to mount case , i'm following this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37533150&postcount=12
but i dont know what version of busybox to download. Which binary should i get?
I recommend that you stop flashing anything else on the phone until you confirm that the model # is gt-i9300 in download mode.
After confirming the model #, download the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com and flash it in Odin. Boot the stock ROM and see if the imei is properly displayed.

This is on the back under the battery:
Model: GT-I9300
FCC ID: A3LGTI9300A
SSN: I9300GSMH
Also when I try to charge the phone by the wall socket the battery animation seems to be just frozen. Which stock ROM should I download? Does it matter the country? I don't know from which country might be this phone.
Have you had the from new or did you get it used?
If you got it used, I wouldn't trust the label. You should confirm the model number in download mode.

It's correct the model, it's a used phone and:
Custom binary download: yes (11 counts)
Current binary: custom
System status: custom
Flash the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com with Odin. This will remove root and don't forget to perform a factory reset before booting the stock ROM for the first time.

From any country or at least close to where i got it from? 4.3 android i guess?
I have never found the country to make difference so pick a country closer to you with the language you need.

Thank you for your help. It worked and now its running a stock firmware but I cant get wifi working on it, it keeps saying connecting-saved-secured and reconnects. The phone signal its fine and can make calls without problem but now i flashed TWRP and It doesn't let me get into it nor with the button combo or the Goomanager. I want to backup this EFS asap and try another custom ROM.

I can at the moment, it was just USB debugging that was off. Again i used the adb command to reboot into recovery. Now , what TWRP version should i get to backup the EFS in .bin or any other format that i can flash with Odin. Can you recommend me a ROM that doesn't mess with the EFS?
I haven't had an s3 for over 2 years but I recommend flashing the latest tar version TWRP in Odin.
Alright, I did a backup of the EFS in .img and a modem backup in .bin with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/tool-backup-restore-efs-imei-sgsiii-t1901098
then i proceeded to flash a custom ROM and wifi works but now the phone signal goes intermmitent, the icon with the bars goes full and empty constantly, it identifies my provider tho. Airplane mode triggers on/off automatically. Should I restore the EFS from stock ?
Edit: flashed the modem.bin from stock. Airplane mode still intermmitent.
Don't touch the EFS if the phone is showing the correct imei. You flashed the latest stock ROM? Does this signal problem happen on stock too?

In stock there was no problem at all with the signal. The wifi thing was my router actually, some authentication problem related with the use of the password.
Edit: flashed another modem that was tested by other user with the same ROM and phone went completely unstable and couldn't identify the network. Went back to my back up of modem, still airplane mode goes on/off.
I suggest flashing the latest stock ROM and then test. I only used stock modems and bootloaders on all of my Samsung phones.
If the phone doesn't work properly on stock, custom ROMs may exacerbate the problem.
After a long day of testing, only the latest stock ROM works properly while every other custom ROM has the same problem with the phone signal, CM11, slimkat... What's happening?
Edit: flashed CM13.. still the same.
Sounds like you are limited to stock or stock-based custom ROMs.
Hello, I am searching for help with my bootlooped galaxy tab 10.1
It's stuck on the secondary logo that is a glowing
"samsung"
I have clockwork recovery installed along with correct usb drivers.
Samsung kies does not recognize device.
Odin crashes when attempting to load files.
I have a quality usb cable
Model # is gt-p7510ma ,no SD card option.
Did you recently flash a new ROM to cause it to boot loop, if not, what were you doing that caused you to reboot the device? If unsure, try using Logcat to see what is causing the problem.
If you have a backup, try wiping device and restoring from that, or if you did flash a rom right before try wiping and flashing another to see if that is the problem.
Odin crashes when attempting to load files.
Use Latest version of Odin , Reinstall your phone drivers , when you put files make sure you put in right place and let him a while to load that files don't touch anything . Once is finish with loading then put your galaxy in to the Download mode and connect on PC .
I received it in this condition. I was able to put clockwork on it through odin but not the stock rom I think. Odin crashes when trying to put the regular tar file on it. I'm not opposed to using rom either. I was told the tablet is rooted and given passwords/pin #for whatever.

Then I think is problem with your PC , and that way your Odin is crash.
Use CCleaner to repair and Clear Registry , Reboot your PC and try again if not , try on another PC .
Other phones connect to it and I was able to put clockwork recovery on it through doin. It only crashes when I try to put a stock rom on it
