build custom rom - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi,
i want to make my own custom rom from lineage OS source for my asus zenfone go zb500kl because it's not supported
i already have the kernel code form asus
and this is my pc specifications:
RAM: 4GB
CPU: intel i3 3.5GHz
graphic card: 1024MB
OS: Windows 10
Free space: 150GB
could u help with this
or if u have any idea of making custom rom starting from other asus device's rom with the same specifications or any thing else plz tell me

Well... you say that you have the kernel tree but you still need the device tree, the vendor and much more... 'till you don't have them you can't build a rom for your device... Sorry bro...

Install or boot Remix OS on an Android 5.1 TV Box?

Hi,
Is it possible to install or boot Remix OS on an "Android TV Box" like this one? (here is the link: amazon.de/dp/B01BTJ7EZY/ - looks like new users can't post links, sorry)
Specs - Android TV Box:
OS: Android 5,1
Rockchip 3368 Octa-Core 64bit ARM Coretex A53 CPU
2G RAM + 16G eMMC Flash
Support for Gigabit Network & OTA
UHD 2K x 4K support
Bluetooth 4,0, H.265, HDMI 2,0

I'm interested in doing this too

Me as well
Not yet. Because to do that a custom rom would be required for that exact device. Same way that a Huawei P8 ROM won't work on a Samsung Galaxy S7.

Another reason why not yet.
The RemixOS installer is not for arm devices.
You'd have to port RemixOS to your device (at least there is RemixOS for arm, and yes, I am aware that the arm version preceded the PC (x86, x86-x64) version).
By the way, you had posted this in the RemixOS for PC subforum, so it's the wrong place, try one of the other RemixOS subforums, although you'd need kernel sources, a device tree, and a custom recovery for your device before you can even think about porting RemixOS.
I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings, I was just being blunt.

Not supported?

Not compatible?
Hello everyone, my laptop is a positive BGH s610. This features an Intel CELERON B800, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, and an Intel serial VGA.
When you try to install Remix OS, Phoenix OS, or Android x 86 everything is fine, but when you try to start the system, it starts to load and automatically restarts.
Any idea what it might be?

According to Google's docs, all versions from "Lollipop" (Android 5.0) up to "Pie" (Android 9.0) need at least 416 MB memory. This is true if device's display uses "framebuffer resolutions up to qHD (e.g. FWVGA)". Higher resolutions need more memory.
Android phone devices up to "Oreo" (Android 8.1) with only 512 MB avaiable RAM must have mandatory set the "ActivityManager.isLowRamDevice" flag.
sir can i install linage os ? as my tab runs on 4.0.2 and its very slow. its name is nuclear f7, and i didnt find anywhere searching the device name.. so if i can install custom os pls tell me the process.
@megh Harrison
I highly doubt it makes sense. So I'm not going to publish a how-to here. Thanks for your understanding.

Question about Xiaomi 6A 64bit

Hey guys,
to start I'd like to say I'm an absolute noob when it comes to custom roms and android flashing in general, so excuse me if I'm asking a stupid question.
I have a Xiaomi 6A that's in 32bit mode which doesn't allow 64bit apps, now I've checked the specs of it's CPU and 64bit is supported, my question is it possible to turn it into 64bit, if so is it something you would recommend me doing as an android noob, a tutorial that would cover my situation would be helpful, my device's specs are below, thanks for your time.
SPECS:
MIUI Version: MIUI GLOBAL 11.0.8/Stable
Android Version: 9 PPR1
RAM: 2.00GB
CPU: Quad-Core Max 2.00Ghz
Storage: 16GB total
