Custom ROM Support / Play Services for Weird Tablet - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Recently got handed over a tablet. Want to install a custom ROM.
Reason: No Play Services - Crashes - No Play Store (Obviously)
Tablet White-labelled: Exertis UK Limited for Deliveroo (Model: SMB-H8005)
Play Services Version should be 444 but can't find a corresponding APK anywhere.

So I've basically spent about 6 hours today try different methods to get this to run play services and play store. Just doesn't do it.
So Im wondering if Im doing something wrong OR if I can flash this with CWM Recovery and a Stock ROM from another similar tablet that uses MT8163 - such as the following:

No solution?
Nope, no one was able to provide a solution. The only method is to install other Marketplaces which are similar to Google PLAY store

Hello, I got this tablet from someone to "unbrick" it. It got locked from too many gesture codes introduced wrong. The problem is i cannot factory reset it from recovery it simple stars into recovery and does nothing. I've tried adb shell --wipe_data and i got the error - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) also I cannot see a way into fastboot mode

Click to collapse You should try to flash again the stock rom...I don`t own anymore this tablet...I own an Evotab Hd..

Click to collapse I have one with same problem, in recovery it does nothing, but I press a lot of combination of keys and enter in recovery menu . I think it was vol + with power. After wipe, I try again to enter recovery menu, but without success. Strange

Hi there 2 years ago I bought an 8" Tablet branded by an Iranian company named FARASSOO. Every hardware bit is "china made". The device was pretty good for my use. The result was deplorable: essential apps were gone; no gallery, no file manager, no web browser, no camera etc. Even there is no keyboard and if I try to open input and language section in settings it will say "Unfortunately setting has stopped". I repeated factory reset and result was same.
