I've a Honor 8 with EMUI 5.1
I love the new EMUI but there is one thing that I hate: the gallery.
I remember that in the EMUI 4.0/EMUI 4.1 Gallery, there was an options to organize the pictures inside the various albums and sort them by name, by date, ecc.
In the new EMUI 5.0/EMUI 5.1 this option is disappear. And i want it back.
I try soome other gallery app like Quickpic, Simple Gallery, Piktures, Focus, Googlephoto, but nothing is compare to use the stock gallery.
My question is: there is the possibility to downgrade only the gallery application without rooting phone? Maybe someone has the Gallery apk to install in my phone (i know that it will be too easy but i try )

When i install a custom rom, i expect that it includes all the features of Stock rom and has additional features.
But i realized that some of the key features of stock rom are not included in custom roms.
For example Stock Camera App has a lot of cool features like "Face Detection" and "Video Stabilize". But most of the roms has Camera ICS and it has not these features(in pro version it says it has video stabilize but i couldn't see it).
Also Stock Phone application is perfect for me because it has an opiton like slide right and left for messaging and phone calling. But in custom rom you need more steps to call or message.
So my first question is...
Is there any custom rom that has ability to use stock camera application and stock phone application ? Also i wonders is this possible or not ?(or any other stock application)
My second question is about an Iphone feature.We are sure that our sgs2 has a lot more features then iphone. But when i use iphone(yes i have one sorry for this) i see that contacts and messaging applications open fast as lightning. Probably the phone and messaging applications are always in memory on iphone even at startup!.
On SGS2 when i open conctacs application, even if i press home button after a while (after one hour) when i edit contacts it waits about 2-5 seconds to open it.(i have more than 1000 contacts)
Is there a way to keep contacts app and messaging app always in memory ?(or it may be any other application too)

I think that WanamLite would be great for your taste as it's based on stock Samsung ICS Firmware.
If you can live without that Sammy's phone app, then maybe you should try MIUI or it's derivates( WIUI, RGUI, cMIUI). It has stock camera app. And the rom itself is beautiful, fast and stable.

Hello, like in the topic, is it possible to relink somehow gallery app from aosp one to quickpic? i do hate aosp gallery.
Before there was no problem as camera and gallery were separate apk's, now they are in one apk. Does any one know how to change it?
Hello. I've found one issue. Before updating the Google App, the icons are of lollipop. But after updating the Google app, the icons of Settings, Email, Contacts, Caller are changed to Kitkat icons. I've tried rebooting and also reinstalling but no avail, if I update the Google app, the icons become ones of Kitkat, and I do not want that. Please help?

So, Google replaced my stock photo editor, and i least like it. I prefer the stock photo editor.. And i wondering does anyone still have stock nubia photo editor.. plus, nubia stock gallery can hide picture and share too.. sth with NeoShare or NubiaShare ? I couldnt remember..
I really need the stock gallery app back for my Nubia Blade A711/X9..
Hi guys, I just flashed an amazing rom (MiracleDroid), is the best OREO rom I tried on my Note 4x, but it comes with the AOSP gallery, and I prefer the RR one.
Can someone please share the apk?

RR uses Lineage's gallery. And if you often change ROMs, you know how irritating is getting used to ROMs' default apps.
I recommend you to stick to SIMPLE GALLERY app. Its fast and fluid, ad-free, open-source and very similar to RR's gallery app.
