Hi, can someone help me choose an lcd display for my redmi note 4x, snapdragon. The phone is so slippery, it just fell out of my hands today and cracked :crying: . So now I am searching for a new display. I found some on gearbest, but they are really expensive, more than 80$ there are also some on ebay, for 20-25 $. Has anyone had the same problems, or knows which display to buy. Thank you

The process was very easy. Make sure you get replacement double sided tape to hold everything together. Also watch a few of the tear down videos so you know exactly what to take apart. I would also suggest getting the frame with the screen because it makes things easier.

The original lcd is better, this one have less brightness and sometimes i have to touch twice to open an app, but for the price is ok, i changed myself so i only spend 16€.
I replaced my display a few weeks ago. It is really simple. There are plenty of youtube videos that help you if you are insecure.
I bought a display from aliexpress (around 18$), it works as good as the OEM display.
The only issue I have now is that my computer doesn't recognize the phone via USB anymore.. but I'm not sure if it's because of the screen replacement.

Anyone have a how to for replacing a broken LCD on the L9? I think only the LCD is broken not the touch screen part any way to tell for sure aside from ripping it apart? The lower part of the screen is blurred and I see a crack in the corner but I don't feel it so I think it's just the LCD. The only think I have found is a video showing how to replace the touch screen but they already have it all ripped apart and don't really show how to take it apart.
I figured I would just have to buy a new phone but the screens are surprisingly cheap so I think replacing the screen is worth it if I can do it without killing the phone.
worth trying.
I think the front speaker nook looks like a good place to start prying.
use heat gun to make the glue come off easily.
unless there is an easier way to access from the back of the phone.
I got the screen replaced and the phone still works even.
This video helped a lot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5YdWeBoM2U while this is a different version of the phone it is pretty close
This device isn't all glued together you just have to remove the screws and it will snap apart. The hardest part for me that is not shown in the video was getting the display cable through the frame the slot isn't wide enough for it to just slide though and I didn't want to break the new screen.
Anyone else with a broken screen give it a try it was only 25 bucks delivered.
After repairing my iPad2, that looks easy.. LOL
I'll keep that in mind if I ever break my L9 screen
yeah there is a video, some one made one, fully detailt!!!
my touchscreen is shadert and later i dropt it again lcd gone black!
so i was happy to see some one make a full video!

It was going to happen. I dropped my phone and the front glass panel is now cracked.
If anyone has performed a repair of the front glass, can you share your experience on how difficult it was? Can you also link some guide or video that shows the replacement of the front glass only?
Also, can you check if this replacement panel is legit: https://www.parts4repair.com/front-glass-for-oneplus-x-black/
Thank you

So I am thinking of buying the OnePlus 5 now, but with a catch. Once the OnePlus 5 releases, I will attempt to repair the glass myself. If all goes well, I will continue using the OnePlus X and post a thread with a video on how I repaired it, or if it turns into a disaster, I'll order the OnePlus 5.

In the same condition.... Was going to purchase oneplus 5 but the iPhone design disappointed me.
I haven't seen an Xperia X in person, but looking at videos I'm really torn between black and white. I see a number of videos recommending against the X based on its rollout price, but there are some deals below $250 on new phones now and I think this phone is actually a value at that price. I had a Z3 Compact a couple of years ago, and it was one of the best phones I've owned.
This appears to be a really good looking phone. Is the 2.5D glass as noticeable on the white phones as it is on the black???
I own the white version, and I love it. The silver metal back is just the thing for me. Also, scratches show a bit less on the white color. The 2.5D glass shows quite a lot, that is if there is any light nearby reflecting on the screen, such as my monitor right now,
I have bought this phone at the price of 320 euroes. If you have found it for 250 dollars, buy it. No really, buy it NOW. For this price, you can't go better, unless you want to try out chinese brands.
Black graphite!
It's sleek and the screen blends in seamlessly.

Is the white a true white or is it more a pearl white. I'm about to buy an Xperia X tonight and not sure which color to buy. I can get the white version right now for $229 dollars through B&H so I was going to go with white. Tough choice.

It almost looks like a pearl white. I'm looking forward to the 5 inch screen. To me personally I think a 5 inch screen is the perfect size for a phone. You get the best of both worlds meaning you can still easily watch a movie on a 5 inch display and still use one hand to operate the phone. It's the perfect size. I've just got to figure out how to enable the fingerprint sensor. Does anyone know how I can do that because I'll be buying the US model. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes 5 inches is the golden spot. Dont worry, if you live in the US the fingerprint sensor it self is in the phone, it's only a phone software restriction. Just flash any custom or European stock rom and you are good to go. No need to root or anything I think
My graphite grey one looks a lot less "premium" than my partners rose gold one, mines picked up lots of little scratches despite having a cover

I ended up buying the Graphite Black for only 199 dollars from B&H and it's was actually a great deal. I've got 30 days to decide whether I want the X Performance or not which in the gold color it's only 299 dollars. I'm very tempted to step up to the top model now instead of the X. What do you guys think I should do. Black and White are both sold out so my options are gold and rose gold. I think I would opt for the lime gold color. That's steal for 299 dollars for a 820 flagship device really. But do was my deal I found on the X model at 199 dollars. Which do you think I should go for?

X Performance isn't exactly top model anymore. It's good, but not worth the 100$ difference in my opinion. The only differences are just a bit of more battery and a better cpu. Personally, the CPU of the X is perfect and enough for me, and I even play some heavy games

I just enquired with mi service center here and they charge a ridiculous rs 6133 for the screen replacement. Anyone have newer updates for a good screen.
Original screen for POCO F1
I thought the back cover could probably the first part gets damage, cause it's plastic. Sorry to hear that. You know you can check witrigs for the part, reliable, and they always sell original parts. Original is the most important thing for cellphone repair for me. Hope this can help you。
Hi,
@Kaadyep
Mine was broken as well. I ordered one on Aliexpress. Seller is Trafalgar (can't post link, rating is 4.9 at the moment, at 100 orders) and cost around 30-38 USD inclusive tools.
Fits perfect and work without issues and no bleeding. The included tools are ok, just the Torx is not fitting. Open the phone is easy but the display is glued. Since the display was broken anyway, i just used one of the included plastic clips and push it under the edge of the broken display, go one round and then you can remove it. The phone still need to be fully disassembled since the flat cable is under the motherboard and battery pack. After that I used very thin double sided tape on the edges to glue the new one in. That is 2 weeks ago and no issues.
Hope that helps.

It could be that the FHD only denotes the 1080 part then the other would be dependend on the aspect ratio. You could say that a panel is FHD but the ratio might be 21:9 (ultrawide), 18:9 (for smartphones), 16:9 (regular), etc.
poco F1 screen reppacement is not so hard
any one can easily replace poco F1 screen or you should visit nearby to get fix , it will cost you 2300 to local market ( good quality screen)
Just received 2 hours ago, the first game I tried (Hill Climb Racing 2) and noticed I couldn't press the brake, like the screen had a dead spot. Sure enough I download Muti Touch Test and the display is missing many touches, but it's inconstant. Factory reset hoping for a fix but no dice. Thanks Google for sticking us with a LG display. BTW, I haven't seen the 3 XL but I can tell you for sure it does not look as good as a Sammy panel, my wife's XS looks way better. I would say it looks more like my V35, not bad at all, just not spectacular. Pissed because I had to send back last years P2 because of issue and here I go again!
Setup a return and I have to pay a $35 restocking fee so they can fix the device. Nice

I haven't seen the 3XL display but it's a Samsung panel and it did just get the highest ever score by Displaymate for what's that worth. I am assuming the XL looks as good as my wifes iPhone XS or my brothers Note9. I can tell you the P3 I have has a display that is not on that level, it's good don't get me wrong, just a half step off, more like my V30 that I fell the display is a solid 8+.
Update, I called Google back and got a rep that took the restocking fee off. Offered to exchange but I didn't like the options. Send mine in and then wait for a replacement to be shipped, could take 2 weeks or advance replacement, credit hold on my card and ship now. Feel it's better to wait for a possible BF deal and go with the XL>
The back scratches way to easily, This is a dealbreaker, take a look at Marques Brownlee's video review as well as Jerryrig's video.
Don't they field test these phones!

This is actually incorrect - it's been proven that most of those 'scratches' can easily be brushed/wiped off.
I literally just watched a Tech Youtouber (Erica something or another) do this exact test, with her keys, and she gets rid of every single mark on the phone, despite scratch it with her keys.

After seeing this video, I cleaned my phone which was blemished right out of the package and now I'm regretting the phone I just ordered for replacement. Google was very kind and helpful though. I'll get the replacement device on a few days and send this one back even though it looks fine now lol.

Yeah, it looks like they phone isn't scratching, the softer objects are leaving behind residue on the phone's surface. Jerry Rig Everything briefly mentioned it in his video but never tried to clean off the marks.
Can someone with the P3 download and play Hill Climb Racing 2 and see if the brake pedal becomes inop during play? Really wondering if I have bad hardware of if it's a software issue. Thanks
