I am wondering if anyone else is having an issue where after making setting adjustments (such as ring tone, or screen brightness), once being plugged in for charging, there settings are reverted back or simply enough...changed.
Ive been having this issue and clawing at every possible solution. any suggestions anyone?
Have not had this issue. Are you stock?
no im not stock. im rooted. however ive never had a similar issue with this before. and it did this before root.
For me it's the System Volume
Yes! I have noticed this too. I keep setting my System Volume to about 50%, and it just randomly gets reset back to 100%. I can't figure out of it is an app that is changing it or if turning the phone off and back on does it, or what. It's very annoying.
Hopefully we can determine what's causing it, or if it's a bug and we need Samsung/T-Mobile to fix it.
Your volume is problably from Maps. Everytime I used Google Maps my volume went from whatever I had it set to to 100%
I was having problems with everytime I turned my phone on my animations went from none to full. Drove me crazy. I ended up switching my rom from Stock to Vibrant6 and the issue went away. I haven't tried going back to the first Nandroid Backup I made to see if it was a stock problem or if it was something I installed.
I do recall that after I played with my Font it started happening. Of course I'm not sure if that caused it or not.
I have had this problem ever since Clockwork recovery. if I reboot to do a nandroid my fonts go back to default however whatever i have chosen (ie choco) is still highlighted. the system volume changes at the same time too.
i asked over at cyanogenmod and i seemed to be the only one.
i was about to post a thread about this too lol. mine isn't rooted. i had my ringtone on the silent one, but all of a sudden i hear the tmobile jingle. i was confused cause i had it on the silent ring tone. also have this issue: once i get a text my lockscreen stays on, it doesn't turn off or anything.
I have the issue with ring and notification tones getting changed back to default.
It doesn't seem to matter where I store them.
my phone is rooted, but no other mods
Hi, Have had Galaxy S 2 for 5 weeks, it was working properly up until the screen failed last week, went off for official repair, came back fixed, all good I thought....But a New Issue Has Manifested
The methods of toggling through having sound on or in silent mode are giving false indications......
In phone options, which are entered by a long press on the power button, the first option is silent mode on / off, but the phone is doing the exact opposite to what it says! I have missed a couple of important calls because I checked the phone status this morning when I came out of a meeting, it said "Silent Mode On" So I hit it to activate Silent mode off, which it displayed, however, got to office and 2 calls had been missed, the phone was not ringing out at all...! (Even though it was displaying silent mode off) when I toggled bact to silent mode on, it would then ring???!???
I have soft reset, hard reset, and neither has made a difference. Now, do I send phone back again and be without it for 10-12 days, or is there a simple fix/issue I am missing here? If it was a Nokia, I would have re-installed the firmware as the next action, but cannot work out how to do this on a Samsung Galaxy S 2.
If I choose phone update in about phone, it tells me no new updates available.. There does not seem to be a re-install existing firmware route to take.
Please advise?
Thanks in anticipation;

factory restore reinstalls the existing firmware .

Hmm, well it cannot be that then, can it... Any ideas why phone is "Cross Wired" for want of a better explanation for the Silent On / Off reversal?

Twice today while on a calll the call just ended and i got a notification saying that the phone was in flight mode and to turn if off, WTF is this all about does anyone know i certainly didn't turn it on
Running CheckRom with Pronominal Kernel.
No one any idea about this?
Happened again earlier, how the **** can something like this be happening?
Hi all, I'm currently in Mexico and I was keeping my phone in airplane mode to prevent international texts. To my surprise, my phone received a text a few minutes ago. I confirmed that it was still in airplane mode when the text came in. Then the text came in again. I took my phone out of airplane mode, and the text came in a 3rd time. This time it stopped repeating.
Has anyone faced something like this before?

My phone randomly turns off silent mode and goes into loud mode. Have you experienced this? It's a bit annoying, it does it several times a day.
Any help much appreciated.
Exactly the same happens to my Mate 10 Lite. When I put it into silent mode or vibration mode, it turns into normal mode after less than a minute.
Please, Huawei, fix it now.
Did anyone try a factory reset? Sometimes the most painful solution is the one that works.
