Hello Developers!
Im using Redmi Note 3 Pro 32GB variant.
I want to know if is there any app or rom in which Antenna tv can be viewed?
Like in older days in china mobiles there was a function which allowed us to watch General antenna Tv without Internet Services.
I searched about this on google too and i found like there is a dongle of antenna tv and we can watch TVs via arrial. But it supports in metro cities. And those china mobiles were working on Our Home TV antenna.

Im fairly sure Snapdragon 625 supports it, so why it doesn't work?
Can this be enabled in custom ROM's?

I noticed this today as well. Really surprised. I'm connected to 5Ghz 802.11n no problem though. I wonder if it's possible to inject blobs from another SD625 device and unlock 802.11ac.
Edit: Did some quick research. The Asus Zenfone 3, Samsung Galaxy C7, Lenovo P2 and Oppo R9S all have the SD625 and have 802.11ac, but the Huawei Nova, Moto Z Play and Moto G5 Plus also have the SD625 but only 802.11n. Weird. Our Redmi Note 4X can definitely use dual band though, so the antenna is there.
Yup, probably cost cutting by Xiaomi. (like Qualcomm Quick Charge)
Is there an answer to the AC question? Can it be unlocked by software, or is AC disabled in hardware on the redmi note 4 snapdragon?

I would like to know the answer as well, especially for Redmi 4X.
Hey guys, i have a redmi note 5. That i bought in france from fnac (the biggest electrical retailer here)
I should have lte 4g+ with my sim, i have tested on a friends phone, but i only get 4g on my phone.
I have been trying to look up what to do to fix this problem but i'm lost (not great with phones)
From what i have read it is to do with the bands that are active in different countries.....
Thanks for any help you can give <3
From what i know he Redmi 5 plus (Vince) doenst have the band 20 and 28 needed to 4g+.
Only the Note 5 Pro. (Whyred)
Hope someone can give me advice. I have 5g in my house, my wife uses an IPHONE 12 promax and it can detect 5G but my device cant. can anyone help me please?
I'd like to up this too. I bought a Korean single sim phone with band n78 but it cannot detect 5g while my wife's IPhone 12 can. Any advice? Tried doing the quickshortcut app technique accessing the 5g signal manually but it won't select it for some reason
Check your SIM card or contact your carrier for help.
hi! Globe uses 5G NR/NSA n78 Band, which the korean varian SM-N986N supports.
Globe also provided information for foreign visitors who would like to hook to their infrastructure while visiting Ph. (see link below. don't mind the partner carrier)
5G Technology for Mobile - Globe
5G technology is the next generation of wireless internet connectivity that offers faster speed and more reliable internet connection than ever before.
www.globe.com.ph
if SM-N986N can't see the 5G network while other locally bought phones can, chances are 5G NR/NSA n78 band isn't available in your area and other phones hook through other 5G bands, or your sim card does not support 5G services.
i wasn't able to verify this when I went back to Ph, since my current provider's partner network is Smart
While using location services on my 1 III I noticed that I am not able to receive any L5 GPS or E5a Galileo Satellites with my 1 III (XQ-BC52 FW 61.0.A.15.35 Android 11). Dual Band GNSS is very useful for improving accuracy in challenging terrains or situations (e.g. using location services in a train), which is explained here https://www.xda-developers.com/dual...location-feature-your-phone-probably-missing/. The lack of Dual Band GNSS for 1 III is suprising because not only do almost all High End Smartphones since 2020 come with it, the Xperia 1 III is even listed as being Dual Band Galileo Capable on the official European Union Galileo Info Page, a reliable source (see https://www.usegalileo.eu/EN/inner.html#data=smartphone or attached screenshot below). I've attached screenshots of GPS Data, GPSTest and Geo++ RINEX Logger, which are tools that can verify L5/E5a Band Reception on capable devices through the Android API. I tested outdoors in Germany on a cloudless sky, but wasnt able to catch a single L5 GPS/E5a Galileo Satellite in various scenarios.
My Question is if you guys can confirm this behavior for your Xperia 1 III (Use the Mentioned Tools from Play Store), preferably on Android 12 (I didn't update yet due to the incompatibility of Gravity Box with A12, maybe Sony added support for Dual Band via the Android 12 Firmware Update). If the stock firmware isn't able to process L5/E5a satellites (judging by the EU listing, the hardware is dual band capable and certified), maybe a modding guru can provide a guide for it. I have Root Access on my device and I am willed to test stuff if needed to make it work.
Thank you all very much in advance.
Best regards
The US model doesn't show dual bands either. I guess Sony's GPS is like their 5G - technically present but incomplete.
I have the same model as you, XQ-BC52, running the latest software A 12 61.1.A.7.35.
Getting the same results as you with GPS test. Have not tried the others (running Google free so it's a pain it it's not on f-droid).
Please post if you find a work around.

Got sent this phone from the US so its snapdragon one. The 4G speed is so terrible rarely exceeds 10mbps and the connection is not stable it loses connection every few seconds. my old phone used to get about 60mbps and a more stable conection (i live in a not so well developed country, this is the standard speed) also on my s22+ on the mobile data it always says "LTE" meanwhile my old poco f2 pro used to have "4G+" 90% of the time. Are all snapdragon samsung phones like this outside the US? And if theres anyway to fix please recommend.

See what channels European countries use and choose the operator of the country you are in and then compare that with the supported channels on your SM-S906U1.
it is supported yes. im not from europe im from ethiopia, but i checked my friends phone band and it says band 3 whilst on my phone it says band 7 while we are both on the same network
