substratum support for lg v30 oreo 8.0? - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Is there any chance for custom tweaks via substratum on lgv30 Oreo 8.0? I was hoping to move clock to center of status bar and hide battery bar.

With Oreo, you should be able to use any Substratum themes you want with rootless Andromeda plugin.

Really?? I thought I read somewhere here that LG doesn't have substratum support on oreo. Also read few play store reviews on substratum and individual themes that it's not working on the V30. Has anyone had success with it?

On my LG V30 that recently received Oreo, I have successfully used Substratum and the Andromeda add-on to enable themes. I have used the Compound theme and the Swift Dark theme. Has been working well to theme apps and notifications.

I miss substratum a lot, so right now i can't wait for Oreo upgrade.

Thanks!I think it does work although I'm having a few issues with mine (e.g. not everything gets themed, andromeda disconnects the moment I unplug from PC, themed items randomly reverting back, etc.). Would be interesting to see how other people's experiences are once more V30s get Oreo.

I was not able to apply a Substratum theme to Settings, which perhaps could be related to an LG theme I had previously installed? Also experienced the Andromeda disconnect when uplugging the phone from the computer, so I had to apply the themes while the phone was still connected to the computer.
So not as straightforward of a method to apply themes as is Substratum on Nougat, but at least we have more theme options now!

Ah good to know I'm not alone. Are you able to apply to most things other than settings? Most notable for me is the quick toggles and shade not changing. I'm doing the same thing as you to avoid the disconnection. Also having issues where applying themes hangs at times, but that's a relatively small gripe just have to disconnect and try again.

Just incase you guys didn't know, if your using a swift theme, you can join the telegram group and get help from the developers, you can also report things not working and they usually resolve it in the next update

Using the Compound theme, I have been able to change the background color for the quick settings (from the Android System setting) and the notification shade (from the System UI setting).
Have not experienced any hangs so far when applying themes.

Just the background? I'll have to try it ive only done white themes so it could be the background on mine did change technically. Thanks.

I'll have something for us in a week or two with LG support. I've already started the process of making something. Sadly Bell is slow with the ota so I'm working blind until I get mine.
Center and left clock will be among features I will add too!
Lg theme system has been holding my creativity back let me tell ya! I'm very excited for this

Would you be able to include the two tweaks I mentioned at the beginning of this thread? Either in a theme or just as a tweaks package. I world gladly pay for them.

Well once I get Oreo on my phone I can work on adding clock tweaks but since right now I'm using testers I'm not going to try any because there is a strong likelihood of a systemui FC which means the only fix is a factory reset. I can't in good conscience expect people to test that for me.

Makes sense. No rush or anything. I mostly am concerned about hiding battery bar. I prefer to just see the battery percentage, but I also like when the clock is centered. I haven't had this since i had a rooted phone (on kit Kat) because I rocked a blackberry for awhile, but anything you can do whenever you could do it would be amazing. ?

It's not that we want to "hide" the battery status, it's the LG has TWO redundant icons in the status bar to represent the battery -- which takes up too much space. They have both a percentage icon (that 95%) to represent the battery status AND an old fashioned dry cell "D" battery icon to represent battery status. WHY?

I'll tell you why. Because the 95% by itself is confusing. 95% carrier signal, wifi, what? And the ugly battery bar by itself doesn't tell you exactly how much battery you have. But LG really messed it up.
We don't need to see both a huge battery bar AND a percentage, side by side. And that battery bar is ugly -- so, yes get rid of the battery bar. (My lithium ion phone battery doesn't even look like that in the first place. )
Put both those functions into ONE icon -- a percentage within a circle. Do you see how VISUALLY you see how much battery you have (a complete circle is 100%) AND you have the percentage too. You still have the BATTERY STATUS. But, takes up less space on the status bar and is more aesthetically pleasing.

It's not broken. It's likely that no one aside from me has added lg support! Current themes only support official Samsung, Oxygen OS, Pixel or custom ROMs. I would bet money that none of the themes you tried listed LG devices as being compatible. You need to read the app description before you make comments like this. It's like when someone downloads one of my V30 themes on their V20 and then rates me 1 star and complains that it either doesn't work or doesn't look right.

Is there anyone that could port this over to our device w/ an updated Battery Icon and the evo black bar mod?
Thanks!
Eugene's Vibrant6 rom has that transparent bottom, and you can also apply a metamorph to have the little android guy at the bottom in a variety of different colors as well. The metamorph should give you the look you want, but the rom gives great performance.

Yeah i Saw all that, i wouldn't prefer to have the Android guy in the notification bar... I just want a simple black themed notification drop down with a transparent center.

Yeah i've seen it... its not too bad, but i'm pretty happy with the stock rom, i'll start getting into custom roms once we get some 2.2 roms going out here. For now, i'd just like a simple notification drop down look
Im going to bump this because I too want the black notification bar drop down; MINUS the droid guy ;
I also love the battery icon and the signal bars as well; any way to port those over as well?
I believe the rom with the black notification pull down bar is called samset1.9f...
here is a grey one I did... I can make a black pulldown right now...

Both the framework and twframework have apk at the end of their name that have to be deleted before you flash or it errors..
Go to astro, android themes, clean_clear, and delete apk from folders names...
http://db.tt/Vnx3ztU here's a new one with a black transparent status background.. I just used the same bg as "phone locked, sweep screen to unlock" from the lock screen.. with some small tweaks added..
I wish someone would make a glass notification bar. The clear one that someone made isnt really clear.
I'm currently working on a "Super Battery Life" theme that uses as much flat black as possible, and I'll be theming the notification dropdown much like this. I can post it up here when I'm done
It's my first theme so it might take a while to figure out which image files apply to which parts of the screen...but don't panic, I'm an art student. It'll look sleek, even if it's meant to be used with a flat black background as well.
Let me get some dinner and I'll get back to work! XD

That's the plan - I started with the Evo Black Bar mod and replaced the notification bar background with flat black from the gradient-black, BUT I hit a little bit of a snag because the icons all have that gradient background and it would be a super pain to go through manually and change them all. I've PMd bahnburner to ask if he has them with transparent backgrounds - otherwise it wouldn't really hurt to just use the original Evo bar with the gradient. 300 pixels of non-black never hurt an AMOLED!
I'm still trying to make everything as black as possible >_< I currently use a black background, but then I realized that if someone is using a normal background and just wants a black theme, I could be making ugly black boxes instead of transparencies where I need to!
It's a learning experience.
Hey OP - any idea what the name of that ROM was? I can probably extract the theme you want from there and it might help me out with my endeavors.
Edit: actually if the OP or anyone else would like to help me find whatever rom that came from, it'd be a huge help. This is becoming very tedious o.o I'm determined to figure it out though! Things are looking pretty good, just going slowly.
For Sure.... Heres the link

Are you going to make the background of the notification bar transparent like original picture i posted or 100% black..... A good idea might be to do maybe a version if you had time... if i remember correctly it should just be a different image for each so it shouldn't be too difficult. Thanks for all your work in getting something like this going, greatly appreciate it xD... Any plans on mixing any battery mods in?

Hmm. I didn't have any plans to mix a battery mod in. I'm using some crazy colorful square one with the standard Evo theme everywhere else...if you have a request I could certainly mix in a battery mod, but it's probably easier for everyone if I just leave out the files altogether and then they can pick a standalone.
I'm looking at the initial picture you linked and I don't see a transparent notification bar...you mean the part that slides downward? That background? I currently have it set to a semitransparent dark theme, with gradients on the top and bottom.
Right now I'm working on the Black theme as well as porting the theme you linked. I can shift my efforts to the port and have that posted soon as a folder to be used with MetaMorph.
Did you have a specific battery iconset in mind? There's one that comes with the Evo set, remember. I can just add that if you like.
Edit: wheeee bricking my poor sweet Vb once or twice...oops >_> I'm still learning...this could take longer than I thought.
Well, I got the black theme looking the way I want it to, the only problem atm is that it's composed of two other metamorph themes that have been horribly mangled, so I have to figure out how to make that into one theme. The battery is "Square Battery V1" found here on xda; it won't be included. Pictures here, though I can't post links or attachments yet...

These look pretty good so far. Should to switch to red for the notification icons rather than blue? Uses less battery.....or something........ok so I just want red!
These look fantastic!... Only thing that I would recomend would be to change the very bottom bar that you use to pull the notifcation screen downwards... Maybe like a Black Glass Effect would look good or you could use the one on the picture i posted, looks great.. Great progress looks amazing!

[MOD][Xposed][Sense6][Feb 18] Stock battery with percentage [4.x - 6.0]

A very simple mod I threw together to replace the stock Sense 6 battery images with ones that have a numeric percentage embedded. This module will most likely only work on HTC devices running Sense 6 (m7, m8, etc), but might work on older devices running Sense 5/5.5 as HTC hasn't changed their battery image resource names in a while.

v1.4.1
Install steps:
Make sure you have the latest Xposed Framework installed (ARHD offers it in the AROMA installer).
Make sure you enable the app_process from within Xposed Installer and reboot
Install attached apk, just like you would any other apk
Enable module in Xposed Installer and either reboot, or restart the shell (adb shell 'stop;start' or Soft reboot)
Enjoy
If you'd rather customize (or have the ability to) the entire statusbar, check out my other module here.
For those running XSBM, I've put together an iconpack with this battery set here.
Also available in the Xposed Repo
Thanks to @jsmith8858 for the excellent BatteryIconMaker tool. It makes generating images so much easier/faster!
Changelog
1.1
Increased percent numbers to 22pt, removed bold to enhance readability
1.2
Added gray fill to battery background to make numbers more visible on light and dark backgrounds
1.3
Increased font size to 27pt, and all numbers are black. Should be very visible now on all backgrounds except pure white.
1.4
Battery icons provided by @brianhill1980 - numbers are outlined with transparent background
1.4.1
Now with larger numbers and more defined outline
1.5.0 - Only for LP roms!
First release with LP support. Follow install instructions below!
Install instructions for 1.5.0 on Lollipop roms (tested on MaximusHD 50):
Remove any prior installs of Sense 6 Battery Percent
Make sure you have a working install of Xposed Framework (XposedBridge v61) and Xposed Installer v3.0 Alpha 1. If you have not figured out how to do this, please see the official Xposed for Lollipop thread
Install the Sense6BatteryPercent_v1.5.0.apk, but do not reboot yet
Once the notification of a new module has shown up, go to Xposed Installer->Modules and enable Sense 6 Battery Percent
Tap on the Sense 6 Battery Percent list entry to open the "preferences" activity. There aren't actually any preferences, but I'm using that activity to unpack the images
Tap on the Unpack and Hide Launcher button, which will unpack the battery images and hide this specific launcher
Go back to Xposed Installer->Framework and either pick Soft Reboot or Reboot
I had issues forwarding resources from my module's assets, so I worked around it by creating a scaled-down version of XSBM for just the battery images in this module. It seems to work ok, but definitely not the cleanest approach. If/when this gets resolved in the framework (or I figure out how to do it correctly), I'll rewrite this module. Also, I tested the module with SElinux both enforcing and permissive, and it seems to function regardless.
Hi is it possible to make the percentage size a bit bigger as i find it quite small and difficult to make out what it says?

Don't have the time to hand-edit 100+ images to change the font size. I use the BatteryIconMaker utility to do the numbers and battery background generation, and then combine them with ImageMagick scripts. It takes a few minutes this way, instead of hours/days the other way.
New version on OP has larger (and easier to read) numbers now.
Hey op thank you for this mod. I thought I was never gonna get to have percent stock battery on stock rom lol...also thanks for the update enlarging percentage. Anyway you could change the percent color to something besides black? Maybe grey. Reason is once any app is launched and battery is below certain percent and status bar is no longer transparent you can only see one of the two digits if that makes any sense lol. Made much better sense in my head

Still too small? How high should the numbers be on the inside of the battery outline? Should they extend past the fill bar and into the gap?
Last attempt for the day at making the numbers more legible. OP updated.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Just putting percentage numbers inside the stock battery.
Any chance you could just make the numbers an alpha knockout with a white outline instead of solid black? Solid black looks so harsh compared to the rest of the Sense 6 statusbar icon theme.
Here's a quick Photoshop sample of what I mean:

Many of you who have a Windows Mobile past like me, might have instantly recognized the thin colorful line(s) in the above image. And for the new Android generation, introducing Energy Bar - a pulsating Battery indicator!
Energy Bar puts a thin line on top of your Status Bar whose length corresponds to your device's current Battery level.
Got a full charge? The line will cover the whole width of your screen.
Battery depleting? So will the length of Energy Bar.
After several iterations (thank you for the feedback, early testers), the App is now feature packed:
Energy Bar can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to cover the entire status bar
Energy Bar puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
Energy Bar's origin can be configured as left/center/right
Energy Bar can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
Energy Bar can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
Energy Bar could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient
You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
Energy Bar as a cool pulsating animation whenever a power source is plugged into your device
There is something about visual over numbers that keeps you and your device's battery level in sync with just a glance. You may find it intuitive/effective/stylish way to read the battery level, let me know what you think

UPDATE: What's new?
EB_CD_1.2_BETA:
* Adjusted the curve at left corner by 1 pixel, because every pixel matters!
* Fixed issues with 'Status Bar' mode - portrait to landscape switching/auto-hides.
EB_CD_1.2.1_BETA:
* Minor Bug fixes
Hey Guys! If you try the App, please leave a review on Google Play Store, it will be really helpful, thanks!
Hi. Great app. S8+ it doesn't curve all the way. Corners cut off on one side left or right. Or both if centred.

Thanks!
And the apparent cut is the intended behaviour of the App. As the description says, Energy Bar's width represents your current battery level. If it covers entire width of your phone, it means your battery is at 100%. As the battery depletes Energy Bar shrinks as well.
In centre origin, the depletion happens from either edge of the phone.
Nice one thanks. I'll rate in Google for you.
What's new in EB_CD_1.3_BETA ?
* The curves just got smoother, the smoothness level will depend on the thickness you choose.
* The 'Merged Segments' and 'Gradient' color configurations now displays mirrored, as expected in 'center' origin.
Hey Guys! If you try the App, please leave a review on Google Play Store, it will be really helpful, thanks!
Thanks like it a lot.Samsung S8+
Can you implement some sort of burn-in prevention? There will always be a part of the bar which remains the same throughout the day and that might cause burn-in over time. Other than that the app is awesome!

Will look into it, for now try switching up the origin/colors/color modes.
What's new in EB_CD_1.4_BETA?
* Fixed internal crashes.
* 'Hotfix' for Energy Bar disappearing randomly, it's based on remote devices' feedback. Thanks for the patience. Please uninstall current version > reboot phone > Install latest version, this will make sure that there are no traces of Energy Bar running from previous version.

Hi! Thanks for trying the App. There is actually an exclusive version of the App for Galaxy Note 8, it is better adapted for the curve of Note 8 among other optimisations. Try it out - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=you.in.spark.energy.curved.note8

Thank you!
Displaying a numeric percentage goes completely against the philosophy of visual battery indicator, so it will never be added to this App. Hope that makes sense.

The latest version of Android doesn't allow 3rd party Apps to overlay on Lockscreen, unfortunately!

Unfortunately I can't see the full battery bar because I only get 80% battery. But I'll be fixing that real soon.

Nice app! I only wish for 2 things:
* make option to make bar wider, at least by couple of pixels. I also have CPU meter at top and it shows a pixel-or-two gap in between. I am aware this is only on my setup, but this wouldn't hurt nothing
* option to make bar all the way to the end ALWAYS visible and distinguish full/empt yonly by color! It means the bar and the left/right curve would always be visible, but full percetnage would be i.e. red and emptied percentage blue, etc
Thanx

Hey everyone, welcome to my thread. I'm hoping to see some familiar faces around here so please pop in and give a quick hello! For those who aren't familiar with me, I've been designing themes for LG for a few years now and have supported devices from the V10, V20, G4, G5, G6, G7, V30 and now I welcome the V40! So the purpose of this thread is to provide support, feedback and have an open channel to communicate with everyone regarding updates, ideas, and give support to those who need it. The only rules are to be kind and do not start or engage in negative discussions. For the most part that seldom happens because that's just not how I do things around here so we shouldn't have to worry about any of that stuff. If someone does come in and rips on one of you or me just report the user and one of our moderators will send them on their way. I encourage people to post their screenshot setups or other things that come from using any of my themes. For example you may have set a custom dpi or something and found it looks really clean. Definitely share that with people here and mention what you set it to be so others can give it a whirl. Now the important part when using any of my themes is to actually read the app description when you're looking at it on Google Play. I often post important information there that you may find useful in order to get the best experience. Also I am very active on Google plus too so be sure to follow my LG themes collection there as I post things there too. Anyway let's get started. This thread will hopefully grow over time, as will this page. I'm taking all the posts on it in the event that I need to post more information about various themes. That's just how I do things. So let's begin. Introducing.....
Pixel Experience Dark
Pixel Experience is a dark theme based on the dark mode of Android Pie. It includes such elements like dark notifications and a floating card style quick settings panel. Please note that some third party apps may not play well with the dark notifications and cause some readability issues depending on your surroundings. While with Android Oreo we cannot correct this on all apps, an installable add-on patch will be made available to give you light notifications while retaining the dark user interface.
Pixel Experience Dark is designed to be a dark but not black theme. You will notice the smooth transition on how it blends into google apps that have dark mode. This was intentionally done and I think it jives quite well with it. You can expect updates to come as required when time permits. Some third party apps will be added over time but any modifications to them will be light adjustments. Unlike Substratum if a third party app updates, you cannot simply disable that particular overlay if the update breaks functionality of the app. You would have to disable the entire theme which is not something that I'm willing to do as it would have strong implications.
This theme includes dynamic, adaptive icons. So you can go into settings, display, home and choose your icons shapes. Notice that you now have an option for circular icons!!!! LG previously does not have this option included but I have added it to the theme so you'll probably want to change your icons to round.
Another favorite thing of mine is to unlock the themes app icon shortcut. You'll notice this present in my screenshots. To enable this you'll need to use something like quick shortcut maker or nova and make an activity shortcut under wallpaper&themes and then set it as a shortcut and you'll have quick access to the themes app.
LG in UX 7/7+ has an interesting functionality where if adaptive/dynamic icons are applied that the LG music app will retain a light navbar and playing now background. It makes no sense why they coded it that way but you'll notice that even on stock theme you cannot alter the navbar background color in that app. You can however use the app navbar apps if it bothers you or you can install the add-on patch will will fix that, but it will also kill the adaptive and dynamic icons and you'll be stuck with all icons having the rounded square look like the stock theme has. This patch will be available soon. If you're using a third party launcher you will definitely want to use this patch.
Light Notification Patches.
So some users may experience issues with some third party apps having black text (which said apps hard coded) on the dark background. This is not something I can fix so if this is something that bother's you then you can install the following patches for light notifications. The entirety of the theme will remain dark except for the notifications. There are 5 apks needed in order to do this. Please follow these steps exactly how I've listed them in order for this to work properly.
Download all 5 patches from this link Here!!!!
Next change to stock theme.
Now install all 5 patches.
Then after you've installed them, apply Pixel Experience Dark (Please note on the rare occasion your SystemUI may FC. Don't panic. Just wait a few seconds and it should be ok)
Next reboot and you should be all set.
If you decided you want to uninstall the light patches and go back to dark you will have to uninstall the entire theme, then reinstall it from Playstore and re-apply it.
Twilight
See bottom of description for Quick Settings Add-on Patches!!!
This is Twilight an LG Home+ theme for your LG V40 or LG G7 running Oreo only (Pie is not yet available on my devices and therefore not yet supported!!!) This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! Twilight is a dark theme with bright gradient accents throughout. The app icons have a slight gradient to them, with some more noticeable than others. This theme does not support adaptive icons as some of the key features of this theme are blocked by enabling the adaptive icons. If you'd prefer adaptive you will need to use a third party launcher like Hyperion or Nova.
No need to run a third party theme system any more, just use the system theme chooser and you can enjoy all the benefits of an advanced theme system.
***Third party Quick Settings Icons:
Some apps allow the user to add a shortcut activity to the quick settings panel. This is not supported by this theme whatsoever. If you decided to add any icons to your quick settings panel they will not show up. They will be 100% transparent. They cannot be added. If this bothers you then in a future update I will make an add-on quick settings patch that will add usability back for them, however it will sacrifice the creativity of the current structure of both styles of available quick settings icons. It will be more minimal and all the icons will be the same color like how most themes are. Due to the complexity and advanced nature of this theme this is something that I am aware of and have embraced 100%.
To apply the theme simply go into settings/display and select themes. From there select Twilight, and push apply!
That's it! Simple, easy and quick.
Please note that refunds will not be given for installations on non LG V40 or G7 Oreo Devices. As the title of the theme clearly indicates which device this is for and this app description does specify which OS version is supported..
This theme is also meant to run at the highest resolution, with the lowest stock setting for the actual display size. Larger sizes may cause some elements to look slightly off. If this happens please lower the display sizes of the iconography.
If you run into any issues please send me an email directly instead of leaving a poor rating. Often I am very quick to reply (unless I'm sleeping and you're in a different time zone) and great to solve any issues. The review system is not meant to be a support channel!
Quick tip... Search and install the app "Quick Shortcut Maker" on google play. Install, then long press on your home screen and select the 1x1 quick shortcut maker widget and drag it on your home screen. Then in the activities tab, scroll down to"wallpaper & themes" and expand it. touch 1st option at the top of the list that doesn't have and upwards arrow. Hit Create" button at the bottom and now you have a themes app shortcut you can place on your desktop!!!
Thank you for your support and enjoy theme!!!
This theme as you can see from the screen previews shows two different styles of Quick Settings icons. This is because I designed both styles and had a tough time deciding on which ones to go with so I decided to make them both. The minimal icons are default. However if you wish to change them simply download but do not install (yet) the corresponding patch to the style that you want. After you've downloaded the patch, apply the default LG theme and then install the patch(s). Then reboot and reapply the theme. You will now see a different style. If you wish to change back the original style you can repeat the above process using the other patch. You may be required to reboot again afterwarsd if your notifications have a white background behind them or are not rounded. I've uploaded and clearly labeled both patches. They can be found here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288986
Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy this theme. I've worked extremely hard on this and by far it was the most challenging and time consuming project I've ever made!

Pixel Experience

This is the Pixel Experience. For those who want to enjoy a lighter theme with minimal, subtle changes that want to be able to set it and forget it without having to worry about constant Google app updates and be able to enjoy the Pixel look. This is for you and you're gonna love it! Enjoy the clean and refreshing look and experience the Pixel!!! #WhiteUiMustLive
Now you probably didn't bother to read that crap above so let's just post some screenshots shall we?

G Theme 3
Click me for Video Promo
t's back!!! This is G Theme 3. Why G Theme you ask? Well I think you can figure that out when you use it what it's all about. This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! G Theme 3 is a dark theme with beautiful colors and designs throughout it. The Dark Notifications compliment the ui and battery life! This theme supports adaptive icons and I recommended choosing circle which is unlocked as a feature and can be accessed from going into the settings application and then going into display, home and choose the icon shape. Due to this the music app does have a light overlay at the bottom which is a bug that LG should address!!! For real LG fix that will ya.
Now this is the important part. This theme is only for LG devices running UX 8, Android 9.0 pie. If you are running a different LG UX or android version this will not work and if you upgrade from the above this theme may not work properly. It is presented on an "as is basis". I do my best to try and update to allow for the theme to function on all devices as best I can and as soon as I can. However due to LG's interesting update cycle sometimes one device may update prior to others.
To apply the theme simply go into settings/display and select themes. From there select Twilight, and push apply! then reboot and then reapply the theme again. It's a bit more in depth than other themes but given the complexity of this premium theme it is required for all elements to be themed properly.
That's it! Simple, easy and quick.
If you're using the V40 or any other UX8 device that doesn't have the seamless wallpapers here's a link to one which will change to the one shown in the theme upon applying the theme! For those that do already have seamless wallpapers you will see this new option now available in your list of delectable seamless wallpapers instead of the silly pink one that was previously there.
Seamless Wallpaper right Here!!!
Please note that refunds will not be given for installations on non LG G8 or LG V40, LG 50 UX 8 (running Pie) Devices.
Often I am very quick to reply and great to solve any issues. The review system is not meant to be a support channel!
Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy this theme. I've worked extremely hard on this and by far it was the most challenging and time consuming project I've ever made!
Rain
This is Rain, an LG Home+ theme for your LG G8, LG V40, LG V50 running Android 9. This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! Rain is a dark theme with some bright gradient accents throughout. The Dark Notifications compliment the ui and battery life!
To apply the theme simply go into settings/display and select themes. From there select Rain, and push apply! then reboot and then reapply the theme again. It's a bit more in depth than other themes but given the complexity of this premium theme it is required for all elements to be themed properly. Also it is not recommended to "Hide the second screen/notch"'. This may cause some system apps to look odd.
That's it! Simple, easy and quick.
This theme is also meant to run at the highest resolution, with the lowest stock setting for the actual display size. Larger sizes may cause some elements to look slightly off. If this happens please lower the display sizes of the iconography. Also do not hide the notch. That may cause some things to look weird! No fix for that if you do!
If you wish to utilize the seamless wallpapers please install these two apps. Then reapply the theme and you will be able to select them

You bet man! Version 1 should be pretty solid. I'll probably find (or you guys will) a fee things I either forgot to fix it didn't know about but I haven't found anything major yet!
I wanted to get this out though so people would stop trying the GUY version and crashing their system UI! Then my next dark project can get going.
Looove your dark themes with plenty colors
Was a sad moment when I couldn't use your v20 themes (paid for) on this phone, but hay, who said life would be easy
Is it possible to implement the choice to put mixed colors also on the notification/quick menu icons, like in settings?
Keep up the good work

Unfortunately the LG theme system does not have the ability to add something like a users choice of accents. It's an all or nothing thing
Overall, excellent theme, your themes are still my favorite. Found a couple of things. In the stock messaging app, the accents are gold instead of blue. And the navbar is dark on dark in Gmail and chrome. Over than that, it's awesome.

Regarding the navbar did you reboot after you applied the theme and did you manually change it to dark in settings (that needs to happen). I was definitely having that issue as well but fixed it. Hopefully I didn't mess up and upload the wrong app to Google play. Let me know and if I did I can fix that after work
And if you can please email me pics of the msg app. I don't have it on my phone so idk what I can do about it if anything at all

Yes I rebooted and reset the navbar buttons to dark (I had to change it to something else and back). I have rebooted several times since. It seems to be only some Google apps that are effected. I am sending you screen shots now.

Pixel Experience is based on Android Pie and is a very clean and simplistic theme. It has some additional options like adaptive/dynamic icons. Please note that most themes will likely not have this feature as LG has coded their theme system in a way that with dark themes this actually can cause some major issues. I was hoping with pie they would have fixed this but they have not.

Known issue with music app navigation bar. A work around is to use the app navbar apps and set the navbar for the music app to #202124 to match the rest of the theme. This is a system bug that LG has yet to address and all dark themes that have adaptive icons will have this. This is the only work around.

Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy this theme. I've worked extremely hard on this and by far it was the most challenging and time consuming project I've ever made!
Now for the screenshots cause really that's all we really want to see right? Did you read any of this stuff anyway?

Now for the only part that real matters!!!! Screenshot all the thingies!
Enjoy!!!

Will purchase as soon as it hits Playstore! ?
I'm excited, honestly as soon as I got the g8, I immediately looked to see if you had any themes yet. I have purchased before for previous lg devices. Thanks for your hard work!

It's there. Although it is sometimes difficult to find right after launch because it isn't listed in the search algorithm. Best bet is to click my play store profile and go through the list that way... If your having issues finding it.

I'm quite happy with the turn out. I was up all night working on it.
I have a few things I'll be pushing out. Pixel dark, S10 light and dark and then twilight which will be the most difficult like it was with the other devices.

Got it! Thanks.... As you said, I searched and didn't find it so I figured it wasn't live yet. Thanks so much! Look forward to purchasing your dark Pixel theme as well.
Not sure why...but Gboard crashes when the theme is active.

Yeah
Switched to a different theme and then back to Pixel experience and it's working now... So must've been a fluke.

Nope it was definitely a bug. I was able to find it with a log and fixed it. You'll get a notification to update shortly. Make sure after updating to reapply the theme.
