Best Rom for Xiaomi Redmi 3 (ido) - Xiaomi Redmi 3 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have a Xiaomi redmi 3 pro - ido with the Xiaomi.eu rom, Miui 9 with Android Lolipop.
I'm considering changing to a different Rom with Android Nougat. Still, I do not know what are the main advantages to change to a superior Android without Miui.
Can you help me please?
Which of these roms is the best from ido:
COLT OS
VIPER OS
LINEAGE OS
Thank you

been using lineage os 14.1
beside the camera, LOS is much better overall, better battery life, better performance.
for the camera i'm using camera apps from MIUI though.

From my personal experience I can tell you to stick to either Lineage OS 14.1 or MIUI. Both offer best results in term of performance & on battery time.
Other custom roms suffer from crippled 3D accelerated performance and tend to overheat on basic tasks.
My current setup for ultra battery life is MicroG + Chtolly kernel with Nebula governor + Lineage OS 14.1 + Magisk and modules such as Greenify and Amplify.

I like the lineage os 14.1 rom, fast, nice battery life..
If you already have unlocked bootloader and twrp give it a try

For me: AOKP Nougat (7.1.2) Official. Most stable and for a Linage-based ROM it's quite energy-efficient. - Download-links see developer-thread.

Suggest a battery friendly and stable rom for Redmi note 3 SD

Hello. I am on miui 10 8.7.26 Beta and i would like to use another rom based on oreo .which rom do you suggest that is stable enough and with good battery life?
RR oreo is great. Havoc is also good if you want P look. I think all oreo roms are almost same and all are equally good. No major bugs.
So we have RR Oreo,Havoc OS and what about Liquid Remix?..What i am looking for is a rom which is better in terms of stability, performance, smoothness, and battery life.
.And then there is the kernel choice. What kernel to use? The one that comes with each rom or Agni kernel,Franco kernel ,Radon kernel and whether they are compatible with 8.1
All Oreo Roms for Kenzo is having standby battery drain issue. All Oreo Roms are almost same.
For batter battery backup use N Rom.

Most Stable ROM for Rosy?

To those who flashed ROMs multiple times, which do you think is the most stable for Redmi 5? (Whether in Nougat, Oreo or Pie)
stock miui is the most stable by far. as for custom rom resurrection remix is the best IMO as it have much customization (but design is quite outdated). For oreo, lineage os is quite stable i guess but lack of customization as it try to look like stock android rom. I had tried all the pie rom, the only one working is the aex rom but it is much less stable for me, although the battery and temp is good.
I find the official pixel experience oreo Rom to be most stable. Except ir sensor everything works perfect. I find it more smoother and gives better battery backup than than stock rom.
Lineage 15.1 trbale
Most stable with everything working no matter what? Lineage 14.1 Nougat.
99% stable with only minor issues (slow fingerprint if you have Goodix fingerprint reader)? Lineage 15.1 Oreo or one of the new official ROMs like PIxel Experience or AospExtended. The only difference between them is how much you want to customize them, Lineage gives little chance, AExtended is best for that, PE already packs some Gapps so if you want that then its good, but if you don't want Gapps then Lineage.
90+ % stable with chance that you can create it to be what you want? Any of the Pie GSI's (I prefer PE).
It have quick charge 3.0
You use then feel who is best.......!!!!!!!
Has anyone tried the official PE Pie rom? Is it okay for daily use?
Try Pixel Experience on 9.0. It's pretty stable with a good battery backup.
try PE PIE... its best rom ever
just tried caf version

Tested a lot off roms and bootleggers was for me the highest around 260.000. Didn't test all roms so maybe there are higher scores.
Featured packed rom is Havoc 2 pie but rom is not that stable and needs updates
Mine's at Miui 10 global stable 10.1.3.0.. with r12 franco kernel. This one's enough for both my gaming & balanced needs. Though it scores a bit lower. @ about 260k something on antutu. Because it is underclocked at 2.1ghz speed..
This one's the best for me..
Though i also tried LOS16 & NOS... BUT im still flashing back to miui global. ??? And franco kernel.. ever since r1.. ???
Latest Nitrogen OS with Franco kernel is the best of custom roms, but still has a few bugs. After I tested all (Miui & Aosp based) I'm back to Miui 9.6.25.0 for the battery
No ROMs are best. Every one of them has one or the other bug. I would have recommended stock miui, but since you have mentioned "custom", so I guess you have decided to go for a custom ROM. Hence, I would suggest you to try NOS or CAF Reloaded (AOSP based)/Miui EU or MI-Room (MIUI based).
Which kernel is best for poco f1
and which firmware versio i should install while installing pixel experience rom on my poco f1
Miui is the best.....
Miui EU + eXtreme kernel v12. The best combo for Pocophone. I was running Pixel Experience since I got the phone... But in one morning my rom was ****ed so I decided to go back to miui but not on global... I went to xiaomi eu. I let a print screen down bellow... No word needed.

Custom ROM or not just yet

Hey everyone! I'm waiting for my new mi 8 lite to come and I'm wondering if I should flash a custom ROM immediately or not.
I used to have Redmi 3s prime (land) and I faced a few issues with custom ROMS, i.e. huge battery drain (LOS 15.1), camera picture desaturation (LOS 16), unbelievable lags (dot os).
In that device, the most stable ROM among those tried was Havoc OS, but the one I enjoyed most was LOS 16, because it was simple and minimal.
So, is there any platina ROM that has both good battery back up, simplicity and preserves the great camera mi 8 lite has?

Like any miui device if you want the best your camera offers you need miui. Custom miui roms will provide the best compromise. If you want aosp Havoc is available also but the maintainer builds and posts in his limited free time. So builds are a little behind source but for me havoc has what I want in an aosp rom.
There is fully working MIUI Camera port for custom roms. You can try one of many the most popular currently are Aosip and Pixel Experience. Roms are updated fairly regular but all the main notifications and changelogs are in telegram group. So join there if you want to be up to date and also if you need help you will get it faster than here. Btw for me best experience is Xiaomi EU stable rom, its MIUI without ads and bloatware. But its up to you to find what suits you best.
