i used SparkyRoot to root my prime and uninstall some apps. Now I have to send the tablet back to asus so I did a factory reset and unroot using SparkyRoot. however, the deleted apps are still missing and i still cant update my prime (with red triangle).
I have heard if i download the update file directly from asus will work but i dont know how to use the file. please help!
before you deleted anything
did you do any modification of the root directories? such as adding a boot screen animation? super charge? keyboard re-mapping?
if you did you have to restore those back to default manually or else it won't update your prime~

no i havent. i deleted asus music, library, google+ i think
any idea how to reset to original setting?
i think you're gonna need to find the apk to re-install the missing apps... cause i think the updater are seeing those apps being missing so its giving you an error
same thing happened to me bro. i was at awe as to why it didnt upgrade. what i did was i had to flash the factory image (.15) and then the ota worked. theres threads all over on how to do that. i upgrade to .21 but now my tablet wouldnt unlock. in terms of bootloader. did a factory reset and it worked.

A factory reset doesn't restore deleted apps. You'll need to reinstall the stock apk files that were removed as already mentioned.

Hello,
I am in a big fix now,
I cleaned a bunch of files with Titanium Backup and have have backups of the uninstalled apps which include my default gallery (I had another gallery app), Homescreen Launcher and some others.
By mistakenly I reset my phone to factory settings and now after resetting I cannot access any functions. Since I had deleted the launcher. I am having the files of the launcher though but since the phone has USB Debugging turned off and Google Account not set, I am not able to do anything!!
Please help me with this. Is there any update.zip kind of file to reinstall the launcher? I am using Motorola Fire XT311 which has locked bootloader so no Nandroids too :'(
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and waiting for earliest replies!!
you need to unlock your bootloader, custom recovery, and custom rom
or follow an unbrick guide for your phone

Hi
I bought a phone from everbuy:
everbuying.com/product557294.html
The model of this phone is A3LGi6, the problem is, when I put a sim card, after insert the pin code, I get the error "Com.Android.Phone has stopped unexpectedly problem", and doesn't disappear after I click to close, appears again and again...
What I already did:
- Factory reset
But didn't solve nothing, I hope somebody can help me with this.
Thank you very much
On attached is the phone specifications that I received from MTK tools app

Hopefully you made a TWRP backup before you started messing with stuff, if not, you may be out of luck until they release a factory image. Good news, I did upload my build.prop for you to try and see if it fixes it. https://mega.co.nz/#!1lBmiDba!IaQGyOCQUFS1zPGfBKmQkC--DLoQMml3I1rGscFwTaQ Good luck.

When i try to turn on, the Telekom (T-Mobile) boot animation didn't appears, just a white screen. I can go in Recovery Mode, i tried factory defaults and wipe cache, but still not working.
So:

Yes, it will probably succeed to root, and if you successfully created a full backup, you can be restore it.
