Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

I have tested this rom before you post this thread, because i I am so curious , and the worst bug is that the bluetooth stop continually ad pops up a script with "bluetooth has stopped" and the SIM is not detected, I don't know if this is fix in this update, but I hope because I have waited this ROM for too long, THANKS BLUEDOGERINO FOR THIS ROM, I hope you can fix one by one all the bugs and make the best Rom ever:good:
If the bugs fix this will become my go to rom! Thanks alot @bluedogerino for all your projects.
@bluedogerino
you are a great man
did you know that ?
i hope you make this rom stable soon =)
and add support for all j5 6 variant :r
i wish for u all the best
Works perfectly on J510F, however if the camera doesn't work, snapchat doesn't work, and posting on Instagram doesn't work, I hope the camera bug gets fixed and I'm moving back to 7.1.1 because I don't wanna lose any of my streaks
Also damn the power menu looks lit

It doesn't matter which rom you're coming from, all that matters is that you need to wipe system, data, and cache.
Amazing work man. Really looking forward to fully functional ROM. As far as bugs are concerned, it's not detecting SIM(no calls/mobile network). Also it's not detecting WiFi on some channels(I had mine set to 13, but it did not detect so I set router to auto channel and it worked). No Bluetooth stopped error like some ppl. Other than that, will continue to test and report. I have j5xnlte BTW.
Also, I see you have added RR makefile to GitHub repo. If that means what I think it means.... I am super excited.

First thank you very much for this work
I have install this like your instructions and so far this Rom works fine
I will test this rom and if i find an issue i will report
Great Work

Can I install this rom on the x20 3gb ram ??
Yes, I've got the 32gb x20 but not tested it yet.
TWRP question. I've already got the TWRP from when I rooted, is this version essential for Lineage?
Installed no problems using existing TWRP.
Flashed as per instructions using the zip queue function
Restoring apps with Titanium
Bugs so far
camera force close when using HDR - I've seen this bug on other ROMS.
This Rom is also for the 3gb 32gb Version.
Ive tested antutu with 66k score.
It seems this Rom need a bit more RAM after all closing i have just around 800mb RAM free.
But Rom is stabile and smooth so far.
I Miss some function of stock Rom but maybe anyone can implement it some day
The button runs well but if i press the button it goes sometimes to clear RAM window.
I have same issue with camera with hdr.
Elephone s7 mini
Dear forum,
a question to this lineageOS Rom. Does it work also for the s7 MINI?
In order of getting rid of the Spam Ad's and a clean install, I would prefere this option
regards & many thanks
ElephoneS7Mini
So far evening is going fine, I think I have a conflict with gravity box on the pull down status bar tiles. But it's just settings I'll figure out soon.
The one thing I miss is the ability to hide the nav bar but the touch home button seems to be working better than my old stock ROM.
Lspeed & xposed running fine

Have you done custom ROM before?
First stage is to install twrp, you can then make a full backup of existing ROM and root it.
You can then try the ROM if it doesn't work just restore the old.
But with root you can disable or uninstall those firmware ads.

I used the sp flash tool. I also used the scatter file and twrp attached in this forum. It shows that its flashed successfully and then when I go to recovery I still have the stock one. I also tried to flash via s droid. It asked me to unlock bootloader. I did that and it flashed twrp but it gave an error unable to mount storage and kept rebooting.
Any ideas

It's so long ago i cant remember, i only toggled the option in developer options.
No other fancy unlocking.
I know i had driver conflicts on my own laptop so it would see my phone in flash tools.
I used a friends laptop with flash tools and it worked straight away.

* Note: an installation since build #3 require you to use sdcard repartition layout, as the ROM is too huge to fit on non-reparted /system partition.
After a clean installation, 702M of space is occupied on /system partition.
Also note that only clean installation is possible if you are upgrading from previous builds.
For the repartition refer to CWM ReParted topic.

Changelog
9.08.2018 - build #11
sources updates - thanks @SergeyL for patches
system time fixes (thanks @rINanDO, @millosr and @mickybart)
wifi autoconnection fix
video recording fix
fix IMEI not showed (thanks @rINanDO , @Ziyan, @MWisBest)
change default CPU governor to Interactive
wifi background scan disabled for a better battery life
unified (codina / janice) release *
* release folder now contains two kernel zip's - for codina (Ace 2) and janice (S Advance). Do not forget to flash the kernel after ROM installation, accordingly to your phone model.
25.01.2018 - build #9
Fixed WiFi issues *
Fixed max CPU freq tunable in CK app
* switching to a legacy alarm driver caused unexpected issues in wifi driver. Now there shouldn't be any issues like not showing wifi hotspots after a deepsleep.
24.01.2018 - build #8
Updated to android-8.1.0_r4
Enabled GO configuration
GPS fix
System time fixes - revert to a legacy alarm driver
Wifi fixes (credits to @rINanDO)
ADB fix
Disabled SELinux
TWRP: back to 3.x.y release
15.01.2018 - build #7
Updated to LOS 15.1!
Various stability fixes (credits to @SergeyL)
24.12.2017 - build #6
RIL: fixed native android 8 support! *
Fixed device wakeup with a home key press
Various multimedia stability fixes
* Now all the telephony code is built from android 8.0 sources.
Known issues are:
initial SIM detection might take awhile
the signal strength shown in the statusbar seems to be incorrect
currently IMEI is not showed, e.g. by using *#06# command
maybe some more
FULL credit goes to @rINanDO, @AdrianDC, @millosr and @mickybart for their amazing work!
11.12.2017 (2) - build #5
Fixed incall audio
A HUGE thanks to @isaak for pointing to incall audio fix!
Credits for fix goes to @Unjustified Dev .
11.12.2017 - build #4
Fixed SMS receive
Fixed a video playback with HW / HW+ codecs
6.11.2017 - build #3
Dex-preoptimized build for the better performance*
SELinux: disabled
fixed liblights (thanks @SergeyL)
fixed Sensors
Telephony: squash-reset to 7.1.2 **
* Note: an installation now will require you to use sdcard repartition layout, as the ROM is too huge to fit on non-reparted /system partition.
After a clean installation, 702M of space is occupied on /system partition.
Also note that only clean installation is possible if you are upgrading from previous builds.
** this fixed RIL, but I would consider this rather as a huge hack, it definitely will need to be revised in the future.
All of the telephony code currently is built from 7.1.2 sources, so consider this build still as a heavily experimental.
I haven't tested RIL that much, all I can say so far is that the SIM is being detected, the signal strength is showed and USSD commands works. Everything else wasn't yet tested.
5.10.2017 - build #2
fixed USB
fixed WiFi (credits to @rINanDO)
fixed camera (photos only)
RIL fixes (works partly*)
* receiving SMS and incoming calls seems to be working, however anything else (including answering an incoming call) still doesn't work.

Go to Settings, click on "About phone" and then tap seven times (it may vary) on the "Build number".

But I have another problem, when I want to go back to Los 14.1, I stuck in TWRP logo and I can't get in. Is there any solution to flash back instead of use Odin to flash stock 2.3.6?

There is no root included in this build. You can install a third-party root, but I didn't look into that deeply - there are much of other stuff work on. As stated in OP, this build is a way early, mainly purposed for developers and those who want to help with this project.

Despite of having the same (almost) hardware there are difficulties with testing builds on a device you don't own. If anyone on s3 mini forum is interested to work on Oreo bringup, the sources are always available on my github.
@ChronoMonochrome Good progress here!
Btw, could you tell me how you made RIL work?

Nothing special here.
Check these patches out: https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/st...branch:lineage-15.0+topic:samsung-libril-oreo
Just for a clarification, I wasn't touching java part of RIL at all - until I find a better idea about that. So RIL is not fully-functional yet.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source project with additional contributions from many people within the Android community.
It can be used without the need to have a Google application installed.
LineageOS still contains various hardware-specific code that is slowly becoming open source anyway.
Your changelog is what Gerrit merged into.
All source code for LineageOS 16.0 is available in the LineageOS Github Repo. And if you want to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

Installation Clean :
Complete erase (System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
Install the build + addonsu-16.0-arm-signed.zip or Magisk-v19.xx.zip see download link below
reboot
!!! Nevertheless I recommend a clean installation to exclude errors !!!
!!! OTA-update is like in all my Roms set up !!!!
Updates can be downloaded and installed via lineageos_updates on your mobile phone.
if it should not be possible to install the update automatically or you want to install it manually, proceed as follows,
(Selects in twrp) install/selects memory/internal memory/parent folder/data/lineageos_updates.
chooses the build and installs it and everything else you want to install and restarts after that.
for addonsu user:
to activate root navigate to Settings->About Phone and tap on build number 7 times,
go back to System on developer options and scrolls to root access and activates it.
to be able to boot from the power key to recovery on long press, it simply activates it in the developer options under Extended Restart.

Works just like any other Pie ROM (such as Bootlegger or Viper 9.0). Not bad, there are some lag spikes in games like MK or PUBG but overall performance is good, I suppose. The best ROMs for gaming so far (in my opinion) are ViperOS 7.1.2 and 8.1; and HavocOS... But this ROM is really good!

you can try this kernel image but idk if its works.try at your own risk
Yeah another very good rom for j510fn ??
Thanks
This rom runs really well (it may be my new main rom) but there's a small problem. I can't disable "inactivity display" it just throws me back to the main settings screen. I only installed magisk and opengapps pico without settings up an google account. I've made a logcat cat with the bug occuring.

Thank you @CodeZero for all the time and effort you have contributed to this device!
How's the camera functioning? All prior (post-Nougat) issues resolved or present in all their glory?

well about camera it's same like pie . it's working fine tho for me no issues till now
thank you very much for the rom CodeZero it is good to know that someone like you continues to build more and more this device, we expect new updates and security patches I love you crack
Today I will try it, I just hope that camera work fine.
Thanks in advance for support this old device.
It works everything for me, except audio: I got no audio(multimedia nor notifcation). Any ideas?
I had stock android before clean install Lineage OS 17, I haven't modified anything else (no third party apps nor gapps).
I have to say I am coming from this issue https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/help/stuck-bootloops-stock-roms-ive-tried-t3995969 , and trying out LineageOS for the first time out of curiosity. And apparently the phone is more stable with this LineageOS 17 than stock rom (I have almost no reboots). But audio worked with stock rom.
Edit: No audio even with earpods.
Hi
Once again this is a great ROM thanks to Code zero. Unfortunately the ROM does not boot up setupwizard when it is first run so I cannot restore settings and apps. Just wondering how I can force setup wizard to run again so I can get my stuff back?

The truth is that I am using this rom of lineage os 17 as a daily rom I would say that your fault comes from your terminal since my audio works in both headphones and notifications, the only error I see in this rom is in some applications that close alone from the rest 10/10
oh and another bug is in the chrome browser that doesn't play videos it gets damaged
note: this is fixed using another browser
Magisk
Doesn't appear to like Magisk V.10.1 - V.19.1 installs fine!
My mistake; should read doesn't like Magisk V.20.1 - V.19.1 installs OK
After reinstalling over Lineage 16.0 all is working just great including Magisk 20.1
Many thanks to you Code Zero

thank you very much codezero we just hope that in the next patch security will fix that and fix the lienage launcher since sometimes with the gestures it stops, and optimizes it more in battery
Chrome Version
For anyone who is having issues with Chrome, I went trough a couple versions of it, and I think this is the latest release that has no video playback issues: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/chrome/chrome-71-0-3578-98-release/
2 hours of test and I'm in love.
Excellent work, I don't have any bug.
We appreciate your fantastic work.
Can someone post some pictures for me to have a look?
I'm in doubt, can I install even though this 'SELinux is permissive' bug is safe?
Has anyone that had camera problems in Pie tried this ROM? Is camera fixed here?
I'm on LOS16 and camera doesn't work (green tint, crashes, etc)
Thanks for your work @CodeZero! Amazing as always!

Google/YouTube lineageos 17 - I'm sure you'll find tones of pictures and videos of it on devices (it will look the same on any device)
Also Google what SElinux is - basically you cannot encrypt your device & any security service/app that requires it to be enforcing will not work
