Did your LG fixed V10 last? - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a couple of LG V10s that have bootlooped. I'm either going to have to buy a new phone this weekend or send the V10s to LG for repair. How are the repaired devices? Has anyone had any bootloop or other issues with your fixed/replacement phones from LG?
Thanks!

LG will only replace the motherboard, so it will still have the risk of bootloop. Though you can try sending it for repair, they will pay the shipping cost so it is no loss for you.

I have one bootlooping as hell. I suggest you and everyone in the world to Forget about LG and never buy an LG phone anymore, they suck, they don't care about their customers. I hate them, their service sucks as hell.

Nope, you got screwed. Chances are it hadn't been reported lost/stolen, by the rightful owner, before you bought it, or the person who sold it to you, reported lost/stolen, and filed an insurance claim, after they sold it to you.
Changing IMEIs is illegal, btw.

You are the proud owner of a small WiFi tablet
Should work great as a small WiFi tablet, though.

If possible.... That phone could go to one of our devs... Don't think they have a Verizon one.
Although I'm sure you're more than pissed off about it and that's the last thing on your mind right now.
Sorry you got hosed

Sorry OP got burned.
As a side note.
DON"T BUY PHONES ON CRAIG'S LIST!!!!!!
Unless you meet at a Verizon store, don't even think about it.
If you say meet at a Verizon store, a thief will pass.
Personally, I say use -> http://swappa.com/
I have bought 4 phones there and sold 3 and never had an issue.
They check the IMEID and also check to see if the phone is tied to an account.
Swappa is definitely the way to go .

LG G5 Sim Tray Replacement

Hello Folks,
I have accidentally broken the G5 Sim Card Tray. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase another one from?
Regards,
- Harris
HI harroldo seems these boneheads don't wanna at least give an opinion. I have to say if it was psychically damaged your best bet is going to a electronic shop that has a rework station of sorts and before going
order the part so that they won't try to over charge you for it then let them do their job.
Has anyone found out where they sell the replacements? I sent my phone to get the screen repaired to LG and they lost the sim tray and they say the do not sell it nor can they send me one. So my phone is useless until then, any info on this?

If they lost it, they will have to replace it for you, it's BS for them to say they can't get you one.

That's BS. If they genuinely can't replace the tray, they will need to give you a new phone.

My LG G5 would not turn on a few days after purchase. Purchase was made outright. When getting the phone back from LG warranty (some 6 weeks after purchase), the sim card tray was gone..... I called LG and they transferred me to Best Buy where I purchased the phone. I cannot get any help from the store where I purchased or through LG directly.
Do yourself a favor and don't buy this phone. LG are not a company that deserves loyalty or your hard earned cash.
website such as ebay or aliexpress can help you! There are plenty

Anyone know a place that can jtag my hard bricked LG V10 (H901)?

Hey y'all!
Well I finally did it. I had tons of time on my hands and decided to screw around with my phone. After days of tweaking and messing around I managed to delete the wrong files during a factory reset which bricked my phone. Now even with a full battery none of the buttons work, plugging it in does nothing, and it is as they say a brick. Does anyone know of a jtag service that can work on the LG V10? I have checked some sites out, but so far no luck. Really trying to avoid the enormous deductible for a replacement phone (yes I know my warranty is voided).
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer!
Not sure off hand, these places seem few and far between maybe tray searching "JTAG snapdragon 808" or something like this as opposed to specific to v10
But really if it truly bricked and nothing turns on it is doubtful they will know why it bricked, you could just claim you were updating from ll to mm via official kdz in download mode and everything went blank
Then it's only deductible

Yeah I thought of that, but my deductible is $175 so I was hoping for a jtag at $50 like I have seen on eBay. I just contacted some of them and one got back to me stating that there has not been a jtag release for the V10 and that most new phones probably wont even get them. At least I have insurance. Last time I mod this soon after an update!

The phone should still be under warranty. Just send it to LG. Although, their repair technician's don't seem to be able to repair jack, so you may still be SOL.

Well when you send it in for warranty they give you a new phone. This is what I have considered doing. Just worried they could tell it was rooted.

[resolved] Should I get International or T-Mo version? Worried about warranty.

I am on AT&T in the US.
My rooted AT&T G4 bootlooped after AT&T's warranty was up, and I was forced to send it to LG for repairs.
They sent it back to me all updated, which means I cannot root, which is a MUST for me.
So, I am selling that G4 on ebay and purchasing a G5.
Apparently, the T-Mobile and International versions are completely unlockable, including custom ROMs (yay!).
Please correct me if I am wrong there though..
My questions:
1) If I get an international G5, will LG honor the warranty?
2) If I get a T-Mo G5, will LG honor the warranty?
Thanks in advance.
i'd get the european version as that one allows you to use the B&O HIFI 32bit DAC module which quite simply is AWESOME. Got that yesterday and music sounds ridiculously good even on spotify etc.
as for warranty i dont know how that works.
H850 has more bands and has more development and zero bloatware(which makes a big difference).as far as warranty, the H850 comes with a two-year warranty which I would think LG would honor as long as u bought it from an authorized re-seller like AmazonUK or Clove. U might have to send it to an EU service center for repairs, but as long as u pay shipping, I don't see why LG wouldn't honor it. U might have to fight with AT&T to get LTE, but they should let u bring it onto your account
Thanks for the replies guys.
However I decided to say "screw it" and just went and got a G3, which has no such issues, is much cheaper, and I wouldn't care all that much even if it suddenly died.

Curious to know if YOU changed motherboard or sent to LG/Service agent for same. I ask as mine is a few months out of warranty and the country i now live in never launched the V10 so there's no official channel for me to go through.
I wanted to buy a logic board and fit myself but not sure if you did it yourself or through official channels.
Appreciate any update.
