No. Just used but it doesn't works
I got the unlocked USA version too and found that the FM chip is not activated after installing NextRadio I checked with NextRadio and they were equally surprised since they also believe all US phones are supposed to have working FM function. I believe all the carrier phone phones worked though on another thread I started. Hopefully a firmware update will happen.

We have to try to install a full TMO FW , in my opinion .
Should work on Carrier FWs
I have the US unlocked version which received a software updated on 3/14. Didn't try NextRadio before the update but it works fine now.
[UPDATE: error - just streaming, no direct FM reception]

I also got a 3/14 update but NextRadio is still "streaming" without any FM functionality. Did you install any carrier firmware?

Sorry! Just noticed the same is true for me. Just streaming, no direct FM reception - sorry for the false hope.
I have the unlocked US version and have the same issues. I emailed NextRadio and got this response
"We have been made aware recently and are in talks with our contacts trying to get this worked out.

FYI: works for me in software version G965USQU1ARB6 (SM-G965UZBAVZW, US/Verizon S9+). This is not an OEM unlocked model, but the hardware should be the same... in theory... (SM-G965U vs SM-G965U1).

So we can officially say that is simply a software bug on XAA Variant (Unlocked one)
I also just got my USA, Unlocked S9 today. The FM radio does not function with Next radio.
Very dissapointed, went with the S9 because it was suppose to have a functioning FM chip. Spoke to Samsung online chat support and they were clueless. (go figure)

Did you just simply flash the TMB software via Odin? Is there special instructions to flash a carrier software on top of the Unlocked model? Does the userdata get wiped?
Now if there was just firmware for the USA variant
The rate I am going, the S10 will be release before Samsung releases a fix fir the Unlocked USA version.

This phone is locked via Total Wirless (Tracfone). It only works for Verizon. Even if you were to unlock this device, it wouldn't have the bands to support Tmobile or ATT.

This device can only be SIM unlocked by having it actively using it for 1 year (so basically you would have a 12 month plan with Total Wireless). After then, you can call customer support and you would get unlock codes to unlock your device.

I'm afraid that is impossible, Because the radio built into the phone can only tune to CDMA bands. It's simply impossible, without Switching out the radio, and that is pretty much impossible without turning the device into a paperweight due to incompatible device drivers. Sorry.
Feel free to correct any inaccurate info.

Users dara partition are intact, if you install applications ,they are installed here, so after update they still are here, can't see, never saw, that I am missing some application after update. Ofcorse, if you are rooted, then that's different story, but as this time phone isn't rooted, user can't install apps on system , vendor partitions, which are cleared after update.
But that's only my logic thought, from what I experienced..

The unlocked version is bootloader unlockable (it's the one I have). Can't speak strictly about the other ones and not sure if the Verizon one is the Verizon model, which if it is probably can't be unlocked. But others can chime in more about the other two.

Think back to when our Pixel 2 XLs were our daily driver. We never recommended Verizon models simply because they couldn't be unlocked. The same applies here, with the only advantage the Verizon model having is mmWave 5G to go with the Sub-6 5G found in the unlocked.

Yes, I know you can't unlock the bootloaders on the Verizon models. I just wasn't absolutely sure if that particular one in the Google Store was actually a Verizon model, having always bought the unlocked ones.

Do you think it's now possible with dirty pipe in the wild? I read this morning that the exploit can bypass Samsung's something or other and attain root so what about the Verizon models all the way back to the P3 and above? From my limited knowledge of these things it seems at the very least temp root which might allow the OEM switch to be unlocked, flip it and unlock the bootloader. Wouldn't that be a kick in the ass to Verizon / Google.

Not really meant for you specifically. I know there were a few folks on the P5 forum trying their darndest to get temp root to allow the OEM switch to toggle. I just didn't think we needed a new thread for this. I'll try to find the guy trying. It might have been a bounty thread.

So sadly I have had time to look up into the T-Mobile version so that is something I'm a lot of information for but a limit opposed to you that talks about that so hopefully that helps
I am currently on CPH2417_11_A.08 and I want to only go to A.13.. I DO NOT want to update to Android 13 (C.22).. but I cant seem to find this anywhere.. any ideas?
Oppo/Oneplus are systematically scrubbing all traces of the older OTA fw from all the known sites. This is why i havent made any updates to that thread for doing region swaps. My instructions still stand firmly for how its done and whats required, but now its kinda on a peer to peer basis, cuz all the OTA links that are now available anywhere have a new signature check that will make the fw not appear or fail flashing if you try them. But the steps still work... and Creeper36, if you came from a T-mobile original device, you do not want to take that next upgrade ... you CAN go up to A.12 and you will get your 5g , wifi calling, and volte all working... but anything A.13 and above will lock up all your apps and the only way to get the phone working again, is a factory reset, and a rollback. Some security function has been activated that can detect you original device fingerprint, and if you are on ANY fw other than a 2419 build, it triggers the app lock.
Im still working on finding out what needs to be removed from the CarrierDevicePolicy so that this doesnt happen, but i need root access to make progress, and i am on one of the newer 10T that have the Fastboot Protocol disabled. My advice would be to just search thru the oneplus community pages or go to the telegram/discord channels... both are user operated, so you can message someone or just ask the group for the file you want and chances are someone has it, who can help you. I have A.15 but its for the 2415 build. All the fw you find below that version on the common sites (gsm mafia... etc) are packages you will need the msm tool or qfil to flash.
Does this mean I can pull boot from this and finally bl unlock/root my 2417 on Android 13?!
Can someone explain me what is the difference between 2415Global and 2417NA versions of OOS? What is good and of course what is bad? I just flashed my ACE PRO to Global 2415 want to know if it is worth to change to 2417NA? Thanks in advance

Nope. you can switch between U and U1 firmware but nothing really changes but if you try to flash other model firmware you either get an error or possibly brick the device. Samsung made sure the north American models wouldn't be able to be unlocked to be able to unlock the bootloader ever.
