No there is not (other than what you can set in battery maintenance). And there are no custom kernals developed yet that would allow it.

Anything changed here? Can we activate such a mode now?

Hey Everyone;
Is there any tool capable of monitoring and showing GPU clock on screen like what "Cool Tool" does for CPU ? I would like to see how my phone's GPU scales up and down while playing games so I can optimize the thresholds. any tips is appreciated.
Thanks

Hey XDA,
Is there a way to port the blocking mode from the SII or the S3 firmware. I don't know if it is in the S3 Mini.

Blocking mode is a feature evolved from the disable all notifications feature found on ICS and Honeycomb devices. It is a cool feature that allows you to block calls and other notifications without the need for Root access... Blocking Mode is useful in a number of ways especially turning off all notifications, calls and even SMS when you're asleep. It's a great way to conserve battery overnight when you need the phone least.
As far as I know, most Samsung Devices running Jellybean out of the box also has this feature...

I tried a port from s3 mini a theme I could get blocking mode on the notification toggle when I long press it takes me there all option are there everything fine... but it doesn't work... any one know how to install it in firmware... I could manage only in system ui... means only visibility no functionality??
hi ppl
posting here after a long time..
to get blocking mode try this:
1.install a custom launcher like nova or apex
2. go to activities by long pressing on the home screen
3.navigate to settings or something like services
and i'm sure you'll find blocking mode there...!!
man you are genius .... can we port on touch wiz bro

If you don't want to install a 3rd party launcher, go to google play and search for quickshortcutmaker. It has a search option that should find blocking mode. It found it on my phone and made a shortcut. Hope this helps some

Hi XDA ppl,
Is there a way that you can port the LG G2's double tap lock and unlock? It would be really nice if we could use it on our device.. I mean my note 2 power button is getting sag because of locking and unlocking for daily basis use. if anyone could port this feature it would be really great to have this on any android devices..
Although it's not impossible to port this feature, but I think it will take some time till someone figure it out how to port it to our device. Meanwhile, you can try a similar app like this but using your built in sensor/accelerometer. You can find it at play store

Hi
If you are really interested in the TouchWake option, you should read the official thread about your kernel. My quess: The Perseus kernel hasn't been updated in a few months, so this probably wont be a feature of this kernel.

Use devil kernel or saber kernel or neak kernel.. They all have touchwake feature.. But I haven't tested them due to my exam, try them and I think they would be cool

Thanks alot for the idea guys..but i prefer most on normal installation so that's why i preferred it to be ported rather than flashing. anyways if I no one would try to port it I will gonna try what you've suggested.. Thanks again!
The perseus kernel does have support for Touchwake feature. With the app eXperience in the Google play store this function is activate

Reading the devil kernel thread I understand that this touchwake feature is set to stay for some ms after locking the screen, because the wakelock drains too much power if kept running. After that time the wakelock is stopped and you'll have to open the phone the usual way buttons/wave. So personally i abandoned the idea. Don't remember the link though you'll have to search.

In the search field of Google Play Store type: eXperience Pro
You will find the paid app. Scroll down the page and you will see the lite version.

Hi
Read carefully:
To set the TouchWake option you need an app for it.
You can buy the app for the neak kernel from the playstore and set the TouchWake and other kernel settings.
If you are creative, Trickster could have the solution for you in the playstore.
Remember: Set the time-out to zero for always touchwake.
Good luck

I think you should do some more research on the TouchWake option.
TouchWake is revolutionary in my opinion and by far not battery unfriendly at all.

I found it here on playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=aperture.ezekeel.experience&hl=en
Yeah I might me late, but just thought of sharing if you did not find.
Read the details carefully. Free version supports only few devices. Pro supports more as per the developers. :fingers-crossed:
Read reviews before purchasing.
Cheers

This is a kernel feature, not part of the rom.
Hello,
Before I get to the problem, let me tell you I'm a complete newbie in matters of custom ROMs and Kernels.
However I did end up flashing CM 10.1 and then CM 11 on my S3 (I9300)
My main aim is to save battery. Are there any kernels that I can install with CM 11 that can save battery life for me? And if possible can you also guide me in case there are any tweaks I need to make on apps like STweaks to get optimum battery usage? Give me exact numbers I need to set.
You'll help me a lot.
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone! I just would ask you if you know any rom or mod that allows to totally customize the UI, graphics, status bar, system menu, lockscreen, etc, like an S5. I would like a rom or a mod like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-glamours5-s3-touch-s5-version-7-0-t2258723
but for our wonderfull galaxy mega 6.3!
Does it exist? I'm not asking just for a simple launcher like or similar to s5 launcher, but a real porting of the s5 general graphics and menus, including icons and all the rest... Thanks in advance!

Then you should have root?
I am no developer what so ever. Nor do I have root anymore, recovery or roms. Asking anybody to build a rom for you would be unreasonable. If the S5 launcher is not what your looking for, then I would look into the Xposed Module. You may have some options there, or maybe the combo of both.
Maybe some of the existing roms will get you close and you could use Xposed may take you the rest of the way?
Good luck

I haven't had root for a while now. You will have to read through the titles. Wanam is one of the more popular. But there are battery, status bar and mods and theme engines. Just going to have to try them.
