Mate 10 pro and Navbar Animations - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi, sorry for this other thread but I have many issues with this phone.
I have installed the app called Navbar Animations, the app works just installed, then after a few seconds it does not work anymore.
I get a notification of the android system where I am told that navbar animations is running in the background, but it does not work, there are no animations.
in the settings of my phone I set the running in the background and I authorized the app not to be subjected to the optimization of the battery.
when I turn the phone back on, it works for a moment and then no longer. the same thing happens sometimes after closing the apps in multitasking
I also asked the developer of the app that told me that it is a problem related to my phone and that he does not know how to help me.
could someone help me?

new Infos. when the phone is in charge the animations works fine....
it seems to me that the phone kill navbar animation in background (when not in charge of course)...

Force the app to ignore battery optimisations.
Go to Settings/Apps & notifications/Apps
tap on Settings/Special access/Ignore battery optimisation and change your app to Allowed.

Go to Apps, find it and go to data usage and allow everything - background, data and wifi.
Then go to security and give administration and also check either accessibilities or notification and check apps with usage
Then go back to Apps and give it all permissions

how do i do all of these?

I just installed WanamLite and he wrote that I should do the following to save battery life:
Disable auto sync for accounts
Disable GPS (and wifi gps)
Disable auto backup of Gmail account
Set wifi sleep policy to "Never"
Set brightness level to automatic
Disable motion
Check your apps settings and disable useless background sync
Disable useless animations

So I did some of them but still need to know how to:
Disable auto sync for accounts
Disable auto backup of Gmail account
Check your apps settings and disable useless background sync

I have no idea how to do those 3.

theres a toggle which you can just toggle on or off for auto sync.
go into settings then down to backup and restore and disable backup my data to disable the google backup.
and as for the last one if you go into data usage and on an app which has used data like fb for example (if you have fb obviously) theres an option where you can toggle weather an app can use background data or not and just do that for the apps that use data in the background
hope i explained it well enough!

for the toggle you can go into display > notification panel and then add it to your toggle panel also with the toggle in your panel you can keep it turned off but if you want to recieve your emails all you have to do is re enable it to force it to fetch all of your emails etc then you can disable it again thats a good way of saving quite allot of battery just on its own
and as for that if you delete your google account from the device then re add it and when it comes up with the would you like to activate backup & restore untick it then it shouldnt be enabled although i dont really think the google backup would use much battery anyways

well nothing actually, i just tap on the backup button and while its loading i can see that is says" daily backups will be made at 4:00" so I figured maybe it is eating my battery aswell. But now when I think about it it can't really drain anything since its a few seconds of backup. Lets just forget about it
Thanks for your help!

[Request] Option to limit Quick Settings toggles

Quick Setting toggles in Paranoid are awesome, I really appreciate how they work.
However, I miss the option from CM to edit the toggles behaviour, intended as which options the toggle can show.
In my specific case, I would like to:
- remove the Device option from GPS toggle and use just Low/High precision
- remove LTE from Mobile Data Switcher, as I have no 4G traffic (I love Italy for this things... and sarcasm) so I can have 2G and 2G/3G (someone maybe prefer 3G only)
If anyone has any other preferences, write them below, I'd apreciate if others have my same thought.

Will try to understand JIRA in this case...
also, if we could get an update on that quick notification settings so we can decide if left or right edge of screen shall pull it down.. not just random.
thank you
@Pirateghost I can't register on JIRA; is that normal?

It stucks in an infinite loading; later I'll check if something change (I'm writing from the uni, as my computer is not working)
Re: Option to limit Quick Settings toggles
Whenever, I start my phone, all the toggles are there. The other best thing about this I had discovered is in order to remove them, one can simply turn off the toggles via notification switch or just via uninstalling the entire app.

No notifications

Hi,
I have 2 mobile devices with Android 6. None of them receives any notifications when in "sleep mode".
But it looks like it's only from third Party apps the problem excits. (Messenger, Whatsapp, Snapchat)
No problem with standard app for sms messeges and mails/gmail.
Problem excits with WiFi on and off.
I have tried everything I think.
Whats wrong?
Have a Nice Day.:cyclops:
Are you rooted? Using anything like Greenify or an app to force Doze mode? Battery saving apps? Apps to control notifications like Floatify?

Hi,
No root and No powersavings apps.
It seems like the Doze mode might be too aggressive. I'd check Settings / Battery / then click the 3 dot menu and battery optimization and find the apps and turn it off for those and see what happens.

I have tried this - no luck.
I have now made a factory reset on one the phones - did not help either.

Accessibility and Developer options Issue

One serious problem in "realme 1" is when I turn on the accessibility of a certain app and developer options, status bar color changes to yellow nd it won't go until I switch them back to off....it says Accessibility is turned on. Tap to close..... And even if I clear ram, the accessibility turns off automatically... Any solution to keep accessibility of a desired app always on? I tried every possible trick but in vain...a little help is appreciated. Thank you

Color of status bar changing to yellow and need to turn off is not possible they (realme )claims it's feature of color os. And accessibility option issue is when you turn on accessibility option or similar app which is permitted to accessibility option is responsible.
Yeah, I too noticed it
I have the exact same problem, I thinking of to change my phone due to multiple reasons
New updated solved the issue
I always set my dpi as 540, the orange developer option reminder was irritating. The recent software update has solved the issue, check it out.

Solved in New update but still there is a problem
I use greenify app to kill apps in background
But it needs accessibility on Everytime.
But once i kill the app from recents (greenify)
The accessibility gets turned off automatically in settings.
Also in developer options i turned all animations off, but after restart all settings are restored to default.

no you don't get it right, what he says is whenever animations are set to 0.5x (in my case) .. after restart device the settings are get default to 1x automatically. This is really weird.. and frustrating.

China ROM Notification issues

(new here and to OPPO)
Got the china ROM and I have quickly realized that notifications were locked up very tightly. Even after turning everything off/allowing notifications, notifications still don't work on lock screen.
I have:
Turned off Power Smart Saver
Custom Power Saving > Allow Background Running
Manage Notifications > Allow Notifications > Display on Lock screen
Battery > App quick freeze > Turn auto freeze off
Anyone have a solution or do I have to put up with the fact that the china rom is inferior
Which notification are you having issue with?
Did you disabled anything using adb?
I disabled com.coloros.athena
And im getting my Gmail and calendar notification somewhat reliable.

What does disabling com.coloros.athena do?
Edit:just found what Athena supposedly does, removing this fixed it for you?
Edit2:
Crowbar Asdfghjkl said:
According to running processes in the developer options, it looks like com.coloros.athena is responsible for killing background processes. I will have to look into this further tomorrow.
EDIT: I deleted com.coloros.athena together with com.coloros.safecenter and com.coloros.oppoguardelf. Looks like Tasker is running in the background now (though it is using a suspiciously small amount of ram compared with previous phones I have).

Using this I have got some more notifications to behave more normally, but things like SoundCloud player will sometimes decide not to show up, is there anything more I can do?

It also seem that it learns what app you use the most and kinda know to let notification through..

I actually had the same problem with my Oppo Find X. I use the Android Version 8.1.0 with the ColorOS Version V5.2.1.
Step 1: Go to Settings --> Battery --> Turn Off "Smart Power Saver" --> go to Custom Power Consumption Protection --> Select WhatsApp --> Tick "Allow Background Running"
Step 2: Go to Settings --> Battery --> Select "App quick freeze" --> disable WhatsApp
Step 3: On your Phone you have 3 Buttons, the one where you can go back, the other to get to Home Screen and the other one, where we can check our opened windows we use right now.
We need to open WhatsApp once, just to see it as an opened window, now use the third button i told you and use you finger to push the WhatsApp window DOWN. There you have the option to "Lock" the
App. That means, the App will be opened all the time without getting freezed and you can get messages. Remember to Manage the Notifications of WhatsApp in the Settings, like "Display on Lockscreen" and
"Display at the Top of the Screen"
I hope i was able to help you or other Persons. If you have questions, message me on: [email protected]
