The phone has a hidden menu if you type *#546368#*930# in the dialer.
Does anyone have experience with activating VoltE and switching LTE bands.
I live in Denmark and my carrier supports voltE but it is not activated and I don't know how to activate it on this phone.
Try flashing the India DS firmware on it, which allows VoLTE, at least with India carriers.
Does anyone on HK or India software version have access to IMS settings in the Field test in the hidden menu?
I don't have access to IMS settings in Denmark on the HK software version.

Here's India firmware if you want to flash it via dev patched LGUP.
[H930DS][STOCK][OREO]LG V30+ INDIA H930DS H930DS20b_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0530.kdz
You can always flash back to HK if it doesn't have what you want.

Hi.
Which firmware supports VoLTE ?
My provider supports VoLTE, but the firmware needs to support it as well, so I would like to know if any version of marshmallow firmware supports it.
Thanks

All recent FW of Z5C supports VoLTE, but your provider needs to have gotten a proper configuration for Z5C in order to enable it. There are som many configurations for VoLTE out there in the phone networks that there is not a single solution for all. Talk to your provider to see if VoLTE is enabled for you in Z5C, and from when.

"Hi!
I can't guarantee the stability of the patch, as I don't have the correct modem configuration to the operator.
Below I give a link to the patch for E5823 (fw 0.160 /Nougat).
androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298977068
1. Install the patch.
2. You need to choose a modem in accordance with its operator. (amss_fsg_suzuran_india_tar.mbn & amss_fsg_suzuran_reliance_jio_ims_tar.mbn)
You need to install QuickShortcutMaker, then open it to make a shortcut using the app then go to Customisation Selector \ Modem Switcher. Open Modem Switcher and select modem according to your network operator. If the selection of the modem's cellular network is not, then restart the phone.
3. You also need to restore the access point default to the new profile activated! ( Settings>More>Mobile network>APN>Reset to default )
If VoLTE doesn't work, you will have to edit the settings nvitem in QXDM."
I recently moved to the Netherlands and got a contract with Tele2, a 4G provider that offers VoLTE. However, my Latin American, Snapdragon-based S9+ (SM-G9650) didn't show the VoLTE option under Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks. That was with a ROM from Panama. In the meantime, my wife's S8 (SM-G950F) did show it.
I tried installing a G9650 ROM from Colombia since they have a mobile provider with VoLTE, but nothing changed. I then tried a Hong Kong ROM (where pretty much *all* providers offer VoLTE), and the button appeared in the notifications area. However, when I try to enable it I get "VoLTE is not supported by your current software version".
Any suggestions? Thanks
VoLTE is really a country specific feature. Hong Kong version won’t support China’s Volte, though China Mobile operates both in Hong Kong and mainland China

Ouch... Unfortunately the SM-G9650 isn't even sold by European carriers. Any ideas?
Thanks
If you're going to live on the Netherlands sell it and buy the European version or stick with the SD without VoLTE.

Is there no ROM I can install on my Snapdragon S9+ that will allow me to use VoLTE in the Netherlands? I see no reason for the phone to be incompatible if it supports all the bands, etc.
Thanks

Active CSC Code: TPA
CSC Country: Panama / PA
Mobile Operator: Tele2 NL / 20402
Remove your SIM Card, do a Hard Reset, boot the device, insert your SIM Card then it should factory reset again and start with another CSC.

That wont work, the CSC is embedded into the firmware for that specific region. Unless you change the firmware to the region you're in you're out of luck. In some cases the CSC is also carrier specific even in the same region.
Hi,
I have an LG V30 plus - H930DS, wich had V20f-SEA-XX on it. In the "secret menu" I had the option for VoLTE and VoWifi, but they did not work. I tryed to use the Indian firmware V20b, but after flashing, the version on my phone was V20b-GLOBAL-COM. In the "secret menu" the VoLTE options was gone. Tryed to unlock the bootloader, but the phone did not pair with adb - god knows why ... Now I'm on a firmware - CIS from lg-firmware, but my phones shows V20f-GLOBAL-COM.
What firmware should I flash so I can have VoLTE - I live in Romania, and my provider is Orange (wich offers VoLTE) ?
Thanks !

You should check with the operator and see if Orange supports VoLTE on LG V30.

Thanks for the information! On Orange site the LG V30 is not supported, but I wanted to give it a try. They support only LG G7, LG Q7, Q6..
Can you suggest an kdz firmware for Europe ? If I flashed another kdz, I will still get update thru FOTA ? Or I must flash all the updates manually - with LGUP ..
Thanks !

You can also try EU H930. It's compatible with all H930DS, and in recent updates has shown VoLTE for India Jio -- so may show VoLTE for other regions too. I don't know, I'm just speculating about other regions beside India (ESA).
Use most recent EU H930 not older. If you want to unlock bootloader in future, you can temporarily downgrade later to do that.
There's also a project by @seadersn somewhere in the Guides section to force VoLTE on LG V30 where the provider doesn't officially support V30. Has worked for some people...

I have a S23U(S918B/DS) in China, but there is only 4G can be used. Flashing a third party SoulRom based on Mainland China version can use 5G, but I don't want to root my phone. Can I just Odin flash the Chinese version baseband instead of the whole firmware? The 5G Specs of 918B covers all the 5G bands in China, is there any service code to unlock the SA/NSA mode or more 5G bands in hidden menu?( I've tried S918U service code but it doesn't work for S918B)
Many thanks!
Have you tried the samfw tool method?
Does trying to dial below do anything?

Then check the band csc changing thread. You may need to flash the US firmware, then enable secret codes then enable all bands. You might then be able to flash back, if you want, and all the bands may remain open.
5g overrated anyways. Lte is better.

Getting VoLTE and VoWiFi on unlisted carriers by flashing mbn file
I live in Canada and I have a BC72 (Asian version). I am struggling to get VoLTE and VoWiFi working. I know that mbn file is the key to getting IMS support and sony seems to block some carrier mbn files (only mbn in sales areas are available). So...
