Does anyone found a way how to enable keyboard after opening finder? On huawei when you open finder menu, keyboard appears automaticaly, and on samsung you need to click on the text bar.

Stock firmware, stock gear manager. You get a notification from gmail scroll all the way to the bottom to the 3 dots and there was a reply function with some pre set text but if you look up at the right there is a keyboard icon click that to type what ever you want... This just made this watch so much cooler. lol
My set up, ATT gear s and ATT note 4.
I believe this is only available on AT&T's latest firmware update (1AOB1). You can also delete the email from Gmail, not just dismiss the notification (something I wish the stock email can do as well). Other versions of Gear S only have 1AOA7 or older firmware.
But thanks for point out the keyboard thing. I was not aware of you can actually type your own replies.
I can reply on GMail message with my Gear S, standard Gear S with no SIM and no phone provider.
I think it works only for the last GMail message and certainly not read. Same for Hangout message.
I have also actionnable android notification with the same menu (3 dots)
Try just after receiving GMail notification to see
Or you can use my app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s/themes-apps/exclusive-to-xda-alpha-release-gear-t2941977
reply to just about any app with android wear support.

You are correct, that is a limitation of the Samsung tools.
Also Facebook Messenger too!

Hi all!
I will try to keep it short, I can't find out how to disable the 'magnifying bar' while selecting text that I typed in Facebook, WhatsApp, ColorNote, Chrome (url bar) etc. Basically everywhere. Tried switching keyboards, wasn't the 'cause'. Tried looking trough settings etc. (especially the 'Accessibility' settings) but I couldn't find an option to disable it. Also, I don't think I have any apps installed that can cause this. Here's a screenshot of the 'problem': http://imgur.com/a/uGvpa
You can see that a 'magnifying bar' appeared above the text I am selecting at that moment, it's only there when I'm holding it. I can also move my finger while holding and the 'magnifying bar' follows. It only works on text I've typed, so not on static text like emails or something.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 running on Android 7.0 with Samsung Experience 8.1. I hope that someone can help me with this
Thanks in advance!

Essential PH-1 on pie and Huawei Honor note 10 on 9 - both have popup notifications turned off but continue to popup no matter what window I'm on (except on that WhatsApp chat). Have tried but individual and group settings in WhatsApp and app settings.
Anyone have similar problem?
Anyone fix it?
Thx
Same with the original samsung keyboard. There is an option to take out the switcher button, but cannot turn the whole thing off, any Ideas?

Hi in settings go to screen->navigation bar -> and uncheck "show hiding keyboard button" sorry for my English I'm for from Poland and I'm not sure if I translated this correctly ?
For those who had the same question here is your answer: Settings> Display > Navigation Bar> show button hide keyboard button .
Your welcome
Dear Community,
I have an issue with my Redmi Note 9 Pro Global Joyeuse with FW QJZMIXM 12.0.1 stable: I use an App named "Orientation Control" which overlays apps to force the screen orientation per my needs ( landscape or portraint or whatever ). Overlay is the method to do so, so its the app's scope to do exactly this. The Android System now generates a permanent Message / Notification saying: "App Orientation Control is overlaying other apps. " Unfortunately there is currently no way to disable this message in the Android System settings, the option is unavailable respectively not clickable.
Does anybody know another method / way to disable this message? Maybe ADB / modification of a file or anything else?
Device: Unrooted, Stock FW
Thx fir any feedback
You may be able to disable the notification from system settings.
Should be able to find, and disable, the notification from Settings->apps->manage apps
Look for "Android System" in the app list and check the notification settings for the one you want to disable.
If you don't see "Android System" in the app list then you need to enable the show all apps option from the 3dot menu in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Hi sir_bazz, thx for your reply, but as already said, this is not possible to deactivate the notification via the "Android System" app settings.

Do you see a list of all the different notification channels at the bottom of that page?
You should also see the active system notifications, like this one.
yes i do see this, and it is not possible to disable. Already tried all these settings. My screenshot is from the active notification of the app Orientation Control. And this butten cannot be deactivated. This is the reason why i asked for another option such as an ADB command which e.g. allows disabling the neotification or setting the timer to a greater value than only 2 hours.
