Help: Minimized Screen but Touch works on full display (Galaxy S6) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
Im currently running my galaxy s6 on" brx Rom for s6"
Everything works fine, but since i entered the ultra Power saving Mode, the Screen got really small. After I left the Mode the Screen got a little bigger, but stays at a little size (See attachment). On the other Hand, the touch interface works on the whole display like it should be. Just the Screen got small.
Things I already tried: delete substratum theme, wipe dalvik + cache.
Resizing the display through an adb command wont work, because the Touch works on full Display...
Its also Not the onehanded mode activated...
Can anybody help? I don't want to Mount a New Rom since i configured this one perfectly....

I checked the current screensize via NOMone Resultion Changer, but it says : 1080x1920. So it should be at normal size, well the Touch UI is, but the damn Display isnt...
Also the boot screen and twrp are on the full screen...

Band new SGS2, Should Home Screen auto rotate Horisontaly/Verticaly?

Hello guys, I got this new unit and I already tried to calibrate/ check auto rotate option in settings.
Should my home screen rotate while i move my phone horizontally and/or vertically.
My icons are always in vertical mode.
If i go to gallery and choose picture i taken with the cell it rotates fine.
But if I go into internet browser ( the default one ) it takes like 4-5 tries shakes and moves my phone so it finally works <== this also seems odd shouldn't this works like faster or on first try ????
//Edit: needless to say , factory stock on everything nothing installed apart from opera mini and skype.
Everything else is default out of the box.
But my main question is shouldn't home screen follow my phone movement?
no, custom roms do though, like cm7
So no home screen/icons on it will follow if I place my phone in landscape mode hmm. Also what about the locked screen ( default one ) with the clock on it. Should that move? or same like home screen its only vertical.
Also I find my sensor in apps ( any app for that matter) to be really slow or unresponsive :S You need to move your phone in all directions like good 40-50secs or even more for it to switch into landscape mode :S
If anyone cares I re-calibrated the sensor but this time NOT on flat surface but in my hand the best I can and matched my movements so I works the best like im holding it in every day use.
Fixed my slow-ness or non-responsiveness about landscape / vertical switching.

bright bar on top of my screen - android 5.1.1

Hello together
I have kind of a strange problem. Yesterday I got my new tablet (IRULU X1S) and it's a pretty neat thing, runs fast and everthing was working fine.
Then I have been using the chrome browser and let the tablet lie around. When the screen was darkening (because of idle) I turned the tablet and the screen tilted. Since then there is a bright bar on top of my screen (if I hold the phone upright).
When I tilt the Phone the bright bar stays at the same place, meaning the bar is now on the side.
Its almost as thick as the status bar and it's way brighter than the rest of the screen.
One could say the rest of the screen still seems "darkened".
What is really really weird is, the bright bar is even visible if I enter the phone "root" menu (pressing vol down und power). The top pixels seem brighter than the rest.
Is this a known Android poblem? It can't be a burn in, because it happened after tilting the screen and is there since then.
I tried to remove all apps that I installed and even factory reset the tablet. The bright bar is there in every screen, on the bootscreen and also in the "root" menu. Is there maybe a way to reset the phone to all defaults, e.g. putting a new OS on the phone? Because it has to be a software bug...
Thanks for reading and I hope you have some ideas how to fix this!

Display slow after replacement

Hello everybody,
my old display was broken.
It had a crack from top to bottom. At first the keys had failed, later on the right half of the screen showed only strokes or nothing, and then the whole screen was black sometimes. At the end (a few days ago) the screen always remained black (lighting was on).
I've ordered a new display, of course.
This has arrived yesterday and I have changed it now. It also displays the complete image, but it is very slow. It has a delay of about 1 second. The problem beginnt at booting. Ther are circling dots at booting. They are slow too.
So I think it is not the system.
Do you have any advice on what this could be? Or is the new display defective?
Best regards
Marcel
Heyyo, hmm that's odd indeed.. I also had my capacitive keys fail on me when my screen cracked but after I did my screen replacement she performed fine both keys and screen performance.
I'd recommend doing a full backup of anything important and then doing a full wipe of system, data, dalvik and cache and try reinstalling your ROM with latest update of choice and Gapps.
Otherwise I'd recommend trying a different ROM just to ensure its not software related.
I'd also leave it at stock values and not tweak with kernel auditor or AKT Profiles to ensure its not any software tweaks

Wallpaper problem

I think this is a bug – but it may be a stupid question on my part. Apologies if so. I'm primarily an iOS user on mobile, and the Gemini (which I'm loving so far…) is my first serious experience of Android.
OK, so I was playing with customisation options for my home screen, and although I actually really like the default dark blue starfield background that comes preset on the machine, I decided to swap it for an 'early morning sky' photo that I typically use on all my mobile devices. (It's a photo I took myself years ago, and works really well as a backdrop.)
After touching 'Set wallpaper', I elected to set my new background for both home screen AND lock screen. Fine; that worked OK and looks good. But I subsequently changed my mind and wished I'd stuck with the standard starfield for the lock screen. So I went back to the wallpaper options to change the lock screen only.
At this point I discovered the problem/bug. The thumbnail of the starfield picture is still there to be selected, and if I touch it, it covers the screen like it did before, so everything appears OK. However, when I click on 'Set wallpaper' and choose the option, regardless of what I choose (home screen, lock screen or both), there's a pause and then the starfield vanishes, leaving me with a completely black background. I can set the background image to any new photo that I supply myself without problems, but any attempt to reapply the original starfield graphic fails, which is rather a shame.
Can anyone tell me where I can locate the starfield graphic on the system? I've tried browsing the file system (with hidden files visible) but haven't found it. Or can anyone perhaps supply the file so that I can copy it back to the device if perhaps it only now exists in a cache or some such problem? I'd really like to get the image back.
Thank for any help.

Can confirm I have the same issue after re-flashing with the latest stock Android. Explains why I've still got a black screen!
+1 , same thing seen (or not seen if you prefer lol)

I believe this is a bug. I got around this by a long winded method. I selected the "star field" thumbnail so it covers the screen. At this point I took a screen shot by pressing Fn + R and then you can go to your gallery app, select the screen shot image, crop anything you don't want such as the bar at the top and then set the edited screen shot as your background. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's a good workaround.

After Rooting : Touch Screen Behaving Weird

Hi,
I recently rooted my Note 4 (in efforts to installing a custom Rom on the device) and everything went successfully until I realized that my touch screen positioning is all messed up.
The touch screen is responsive but where I click and what gets selected is all effed up. For example- the option which is at the bottom right on the screen gets selected when I press somewhere in the middle right section of the screen. It seems the touch option is all scaled up.
I installed Samsung default Rom in efforts to fix this but the problem still persists.
Any idea on what can fix this?
Cheeers,
K
bump !
