I am not a developer, but i am wondering why volte still not possible on Custom Roms for Honor 5x (Kiwi-22).
Our Snapdragon 615 hardware supports volte & stock rom supports Volte. Devs are really working hard on custom roms. Can any one clarify my doubts.
1) There are some smartphones with same hardware ex: Asus zenfone max - roms supports volte (link), why it is not possible to port the those Roms for honor 5x?
2) Is it possible to get volte by using any volte patches available for custom roms. ex:link

I think it doesn't work on any non 5.1MIUI ROM, even the 6.0 miui doesn't have VoLTE. But I read somewhere that flashing the modem of 5.1 miui on aosp roms brings back volte. can anyone confirm?

No VoLTE for now. Xiaomi must release proper sources for marshmallow, which is not gonna happen soon, because even they have trouble figuring out a way to make it work in Marshmallow version of MIUI

There are plenty of ROMs that support VoLTE for Xiaomi Redmi note 3.

You just have to read the original posts to find out if the ROM supports VoLTE or not

I have a US version honor 5x but use it in India. Can I enable VoLTE in some fashion by custom rom or using Indian version rom?

you cannot..
custom roms, for now, doesn't support volte
and if you use Indian version rom, you will lose IMEI and you have to throw your device then.. plz don't flash any other regional firmwares, which is not meant to your model

In the Screenshot you can see that the device is supporting Slot A. Does this mean we are able to have Treble Roms?
