I tried doing this root and safetynet procedure https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/systemless-root-safetynet-t3725341
in my xperia m4 aqua e2306, but I can not get into recovery mode, I already tried to get into adb and it does not boot or simply reboot in normal mode, I tried to push volume (-) and power button, but it also does not work, and finally I used recovery reboot (and other apps) and nothing worked
This is for sony m4 aqua marshmallow 6.01 (SINGLE SIM)
You must have your bootloader unlocked before attempting this and usb debugging and oem lock both switched on.
For the boot.img and recovery.img you'll need for root CLICK HERE
Download then put the .img's inside your adb fastboot's home folder
Right click on an empty space inside adb fastboot and select open terminal here
On the command line input this command - adb devices -press return(you should see devicies serial #)If no reply from your phone check cables and s1 driver's.
If you are having S1 driver problem's download and install THIS it will install the driver's for you this will work for all phone's.
Once all is good.
On command input - adb reboot bootloader -press return
Once you are in bootloader mode your led on mobile should turn blue
Then input - fastboot flash recovery M4_tulip_recovery.img - return (should take around 5 sec's to flash)
You now have twrp to access switch off phone wait till it vibrates or 10 sec's hold down vol then press power on when sony logo appear's let go of vol down and click a couple of times twrp will start in around 5 sec's.
Switch phone on and put phone back into bootloader mode with -adb reboot bootloader -
Wait for blue led ---
Then input - fastboot flash boot M4_tulip_su_boot.img -takes under 10 sec's
Restart phone with - fastboot reboot - or switch on manually.
If all went well once restarted your phone should now have the supersu app installed and phone rooted with twrp recovery.
It may be worth mentioning that the command line is case sensitive so if any problem's just copy and paste the command's written above straight to the command line.
If you try to install supersu with a zip from twrp on the sony m4 you will probability run into trouble i have had nothing but bootloop's trying that way.
You can flash the .img in any order.

I am having a REAL BUGGER of a time with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon)!
1. It is not recognized by ADB in Fastboot mode.
2. I suspect it shipped wit a vendor ROM, and I'm trying to flash latest Official MIUI Global Dev (Marshmallow) ROM, but I keep getting errors in MI Flash (screenshot attached).
3. I want to Flash TWRP, BUT ADB isn't working, AND I cannot get to the download page for the cracked bootloader.
4. Seriously considering Resurrection Remix ROM, instead, but most of the above issues still apply.
I am NOT new to custom recoveries, flashing ROMS, ADB etc, BUT I am dealing with a new PC (Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, like my old (dead) laptop), and I'm new to this device.
PLEASE HELP. (Quite frustrated)
Fastboot won't recognize adb commands you have to use fastboot.
What you can try is booting into emergency download mode and using my flash to flash it from there. I think it's " adb reboot edl" while the device is on with USB debugging or using the mi updater app ( tap the three dots I think).
I think that this is not the correct section for your question, and i dont know the procedure that you follow but try to follow this procedure:
-Connect the phone at pc with USB cable
-Make sure that debug mode and OEM unlock was abilitate in dev settings
-Copy twrp.img in adb folder
-Shut down the phone and press power botton and - vol buttons for enter in fastboot mode
-Run this commands by terminal open in adb folder
fastboot devices
-If fastboot recognize correctly the device run this command
fastboot fash recovery nameoftwrp.img
-After reboot the device with this command
fastboot reboot
When the phone reboot press immediatily vol + for enter in twrp
Good luck
GOT IT! FINALLY!
-I finally got ADB to connect, and was able to enter EDL through ADB.
-Re-downloaded ROM from web.
-Re-extracted.
-FLASHED SUCCESSFULLY!
-SETUP COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY!
-YAY!
(I think the original download was corrupted, somehow.)
Hi,
I'm trying to root my xperia m4 aqua E2303 which is running android 5.0, and managed to:
-unlock bootloader (then reboot)
-install ( I think ) TWRP (then reboot)
I then flashed the boot.img from this tutorial which I now understand is for 6.0 and not 5.0.
when I rebooted, the phone went into the boot animation (the blue waves thing) and got stuck there for 2 hours until I unplugged it for it to run out of battery and shut down.
when it is in such state, I can see it connected to the PC with
Code:
adb devices
although it is not authorised.
I am also able to enter fastboot but I have no idea what to do from here.
when in fastboot,
Code:
fastboot devices
tells me it is correctly connected and I am able to send commands such as
Code:
fastboot reboot
I have tried to enter TWRP by pressing volume down, but maybe i'm doing it wrong, because I haven't succeeded.
please help.
thanks.
fastboot reboot recovery
You Flash MM Kernel in LP And Finally bootloop. Flash LP Kernel with Flashtools.
Hey there!
so, I just upgraded my z5c from MM CyanogenMod to this nougat ROM > [ROM][7.0][Stock][.33][3.7 b7][Deodex][DeBloat][Font][Stereo][Vulkan™] Xperia Loop™
Before the update I could enter TWRP without any problems.
Now, everytime I try to boot into recovery the phone simply reboots...
Things I've tried:
• Typed "adb reboot recovery" on CM
• Downloaded TWRP App to re-flash and click on "recovery reboot"
• Power up phone holding Volume Down
The phone is rooted with SuperSU.
The main reason I wanted to regain access to recovery is to re-root the phone with Magisk.
Thanks for your time.
1. install fastboot and fastboot drivers on your pc (if you don't have them obviously)
2. plug the phone into the pc using the usb cable while holding the volume + button (this way you will skip the adb part)
3. wait for the notification light to go blue
4. go into the fastboot directory
5. download the twrp "recovery.img" file and put it into the fastboot directory
6. hold shift while right-clicking into the directory where fastboot is
7. use the option to open a cmd into the directory
8. type in "fastboot boot recovery.img"
if your phone's fastboot drivers don't have signature (like it happened to me) download Zadig and create a signature for the driver
Hope this helps... i had the same problem and solved by doing this

Hello i wanted to ask about this since i dont see any other thread related to my issue, im trying to install magisk root and im at the stage of accessing fastboot/bootloader, when i go to recovery mode and select "reboot to bootloader" it just restarts the phone, i have tried adb commands didnt work either, same result, just restarts. The "unlock oem" option under developer options is enabled, i could flash another firmware of the same phone with SPD upgrade tool and its still not letting me get into bootloader, (to do this i must press down vol down and connect the usb while the program is on, and it is detected, otherwise it just restarts adb and fastboot tools will not detect it as download mode) any idea or suggestions on how I could root the phone, been thinking about twrp but not sure it would let me install that, looked into many pages about rooting this device and none show anything related maybe its not possible, i saw there are phones with blocked bootloader. the phone is android 9
Have you tried to
- flash the boot.img from the stockfirmware;
- install a recovery (twrp, orangefox, etc.) and rebooted to fastboot from recovery?

TWRP and orangefox dont support my phone, there may be something unnoficial for twrp as i search and im not sure i can flash the phone with a specific boot file since to flash i use a single .pac file that contains the rom ill look into this
For now im not able to flash the phone with custom boot.img or recovery.img maybe i need to pack specific files i dont know about i give up for today
Sorry to hear that...
Have you tried the following command?
Apache config:
adb reboot bootloader
