Original Stratos Watch Faces ported to Pace - Amazfit

Original Stratos watch faces from stock Chinese firmware version 2.0.7.5, two of them ported to Pace (original model).
Some differences, that may help other porting watchfaces to the original Pace watch:
1. Stratos watchface version is 1.4 while Pace is 1.2 (as of now, firmware 1.3.6d). If Pace is updated to 1.4 then maybe most watchfaces will work without conversion;
2. Stratos support a new item "support26w", I have disabled it in the ported watchfaces;
3. Original Pace supports only data types models 0 and 1 (besides date, datatype=6, that works with higher models numbers as well) while Stratos can use 2 and 3, maybe more. Model 0 is the circular one (only in red?) and 1 is the linear one, while 2 and 3 are circular (with different sizes and circle patterns?);
4. Stratos uses a different way to configure time hands while the screen is locked, looks like a pattern map instead of simply using low resolution PNG files for each hand;
5. I could not deodex the HuamiWatchfaces2.apk to try installing on Pace, trying to decompile the odex file gives an error about a non supported OAT version 45 (if I recall it correctly), I've tried with different baksmali versions (maybe because it's MIPS?).
If anyone knows how to deodex the apk, please drop me a line.
The two watchfaces that look good on Pace are attached, previews below.

PS: I do not own the rights of these files, all are modded Huami Amazfit Stratos faces.

To deodex, use oat2dex.jar
With the command:
java -jar oat2dex.jar -a 22 odex <odex file>
This will give you a dex file you can put into baksmali

Thank you, it worked: the command above created the .dex file, that I've added to the apk as classes.dex. After installation, I can see the new watch faces on my Pace. Can someone with a Stratos confirm that Super Avant, Power Armor and Everest don't have Settings?

The APK does not work well on Pace... If unmodified, it drains a lot of battery because it conflicts with the original APK. I was able to mod the app, so it doesn't freeze the watch and it goes to standby mode, but then it would show the previous watchface as background.
If anyone knows how to fix it, I'm willing to try. I don't think it makes sense to share the app at this stage with these problems...

In a full Stratos Rom port they work fine.
Maybe only porting the Watch Face app is not enough, you will probably also need the Launcher from Stratos Rom, but I'm not sure here...

Yes... Or the CN Pace version. From what I've read, the EN ROM current version (1.3.6d as of now) uses an old library/api, so most watchfaces APK doesn't work. Most developers have updated the APKs to the new versions, and it fixes the freeze or "old face as standby" issues. I only tested it on my stock EN version tho.
BTW, I really hope you are successful porting the new Stratos ROMs to Pace. If you do, I will unlock the bootloader and try it. Regards.

Yes, but no luck with latest Stratos Firmware... Always stuck at QR code because of BT issues.

I have just found something very interesting for those who make WFZ watchfaces: you can use the assets available in HuamiWatchFaces.apk to build the faces. I don't remember seeing anything like this on WOS1, maybe it works only on WOS2.
Some examples:
Code:
<WatchFaceItem type="font" charset="0" config="@assets/datawidget/model_4/time/48.png" />
Code:
<WatchFaceItem type="graduation" config="@assets/graduation/00" />
Pull the APK from /system/app/HuamiWatchFaces/HuamiWatchFaces.apk (for Pace WOS2, may be different on Stratos), uncompress it using any unzip utility, and you should be able to use the assets in your custom WFZ.

[Q] Motoblur Apps and Widgets

Hello everyone.
Anybody knows, how to install MOTOBLUR application and widgets on CyanogenMod?
I like very much MOTOBLUR alarm clock, twitter and rss widget.
And “Connected Music Player” - the best player ever.
Lyrics from wikitune - it so cool. And one better thing: fm-radio inside.
Enough to laugh. I really like them.
I attempted to copy apk files and set correct permission, but fail
I hope, that someone like this applications too, and port it to 2.3
if you like motoblur try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1081957
I'm trying to port some motoblur apps to cyanogen... hard job XD!!!
I'll tell you if I can do it.
The weather widget is nice too, it uses weatherunderground I think, I get local weather information by city district here. I couldn't find another widget that does this.
I'll like to see some blur app on CM7 port (not included but some you can install on it).
The one I look for is the clock & alarm app. I really prefer this one to the stock alarm app. (snooze fonction using all the screen instead a single button is so great!)
nisamtetreb
Yes! How i can forget about weather?
This is a best widget! I can set it like small button with temperature and beautiful in opened state.
Music player works fine just install like normal app.
Connect music Player you found there

works on CM7 now Problem
I'm trying to port MediaGallery (just for easy start ) and some other stuff
thanks for open this thread i like motoblur too.i think we put moto orange 2.3.3 apps to cm7.
I need help from someone knows better android...
I extracted mediagallery.apk and in the manifest I can see:
Code:
<uses-library android:name="com.motorola.android.frameworks" />
<uses-library android:name="com.motorola.blur.library.utilities" />
<uses-library android:name="com.motorola.blur.library.home" />
so i extracted this files too and I put in cyanogen (/system/framework).
Then I copied all moto-* files from /system/etc/permissions/ in cyanogen7, and last , I edited init.rc to add the motoblur stuff to BOOTCLASSPATH line.
I pushed the apk, but it can't be installed again..
Some hint or help? Thanks.
Dependent libs maybe?

credo sia più facile con le varie apk Froyo, magari con adb install app.apk e poi fare un logcat per vedere cosa manca.. tu che dici?
I think it will better with froyo apks, maybe with "adb install app.apk", then a logcat to check the missing thing. What you think?
I join to this thread I too: I like very much blur alarm clock app, it is nice and complete (it has useful timer function) than any other clock app.
I do not know if this can helps, but yesterday I founded this thread:

it refers to a froyo rom, but may be it gives some hints.

With files from 2.2 or new moto 2.3?
Any files added to framework or app would likely need re signing possibly with the platform key or BOOTLOOP.

KR to EN
I got this info from the another thread here, but cannot remember which one.
I'm guessing here but you could try US and us.
I have know idea if it will work.

Seems to work fine. A few cool apps have been added. Overall looks nice.
English Language
This Rom already have EN language, Setting > System > Input and Language, certainly by Korean language in the firstboot. I don't know Korean but I remember position of setting button when I set up my DS.
This Rom's slower than the first 2.2.40 MIUI rom and non support Unicode font
I am running this since last night and extended MIUI settings app works. Battery life is perhaps the best I have seen on any of the MIUI versions I have used on my Streak so far....

[APP] Root Essentials

All in one toolbox for your rooted phone, tablet and Android Wear.
Main Thread: [APP][3.0+] Root Essentials
Root Essentials is an app for rooted devices that has all sorts of features. It is made for rooted Android phones and rooted Android Wear devices.
Android Wear Features
App Manager
Manage your apps with this App Manager on your wearable device.
Build.prop Editor
Edit the build.prop file on your watch with the Build.prop Editor. Requires a phone to edit it over a bluetooth connection. (All goes automatically and phone does not have to be rooted).
Device Info
View information about your watch and edit the DPI. The DPI edit does not edit the build.prop, but uses a shell command instead. In case you can't revert using the app, reset the watch or use this ADB command: wm density reset.
Rebooter
This can reboot your watch special modes like the bootloader, recovery, soft reboot, or just a normal reboot.
Root Browser
Explore the files on your device with the Root Browser. The Root Browser can view details of files and copy/move/delete them.
Download
Root Essentials is available on Google Play. The phone does not have to be rooted for the Android Wear features. The app will be installed automatically on the wearable device through Bluetooth. The app does not work correctly if manually sideloaded to Android Wear.
Support
For support on Android Wear, please reply to this thread. If you have any questions about the phone app, please reply to the main thread. You can also send an email to [email protected].

work on all watches due to the squashfs filesystem, but should work on your Sony Smartwatch 3 as listed in your profile. Let us know your thoughts on the new functionality.

Extract gapps and apps from the android wear 2.0 technical preview 3

A friend of me is using a android 5.1 based smartwatch with a circular display and an own gsm-modul.
I read a lot about the new android wear 2.0 technical preview 3 for one huawei and lg device with circular/round display too...
How it is possible to extract the gapps, the playstore, the apps like settings.apk from this technical preview 3?
I download the preview image for testing for the huawei from this url, extract the tgz, the image*.zip and then the system partition. Sadly there are is for example no playstore app:
in \priv-app\ folder :
GoogleServicesFramework.apk
GooglePackageInstaller.apk
GoogleExtServices.apk
in \app\ folder :
GoogleTTSPrebuiltWearable.apk
GoogleExtShared.apk
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
Can someone help me to choose the right apks to test this in my device.
It would be really really nice if I port the great playstore for wear on non-wear device.

Play store is called phonesky.apk
It would be nice, but I don't think there is a lot of interest?
Some interest here, for the Ticwatch 2
AW compatibility is the biggest hurdle for this new watch. I have a couple of them and would be more than happy to experiment. Very nice watch with very little apps and a ton of potential.

Thanks for the help
Well AFAIK play store is not installed, just a placeholder APK which is useless and just downloads and installs the real APK.

They released a reworked stock launcher with app drawer on the v30, and we are still running something that belongs to the android Lollipop days.

Let's hop so.
The stock lg v20 apps need an update.
Samsung does a better job at this, they post all their apps on APKmirror, I remember having the s8 launcher, messages app, phone app... installed on my note 5 via apkmirror.
LG's software team is like 2 guys who spend most of their day trying to figure out how to make lg's skin like samsung. (and badly failing at it).
Also, if you read the review, everyone is praising the lgv30 as being the new underdog and whatever, the same as it was with the v20. Non of these reviewers actually use an LG phone, because none of them says anything about the POOR software support. It's terrible.
I know I might not post on topic but anyone know where can I find lg calander and lg clock?
Or someone can post it please
Thx
Would it be possible to install any of these apks in collaboration with the V20 stock apps?
For example; install V30 music player but keep the V20s stock player intact?

Don't know if that will work. Being you have doubles going on and conflicting. Doesn't hurt to try. What's the worst you can do.. won't open, force close..... Try adding a number to file and APK, anything that can create a double just change name by adding number, like, lgcam2 would be the V30. That way it doesn't conflict. Just a thought.

Most like this would require one of the apk versions (v20 or v30) to have edits to the android-manifest of a decompiled apk. Reason being the package name of the apk's rarely change, even it the name of the app does.
So if you included both versions in the system, even if they were named differently, the system would get overloaded when it calls for a package and gets two answers.
Now l if the v30 apk's have new package names this could work without major edits. One way to check the package name is by using Tib and click on the app in question from the list. Then click on the section shown in the screenshots.
If the package names are different, easy stuff for someone to include both version, if the are the same, then you will need someone with more advanced knowledge of modding apks. I do not suggest the later for anyone unless you really know what you're doing.
Good idea though. I may look into adding some of thes options when i have more free time.
If anyone has installed a particualr v30 app and would like to see these options available in an Aroma pa kage or similar mod, post the details and we can put something together!
i've tried the most common way, downloading the system dump. extracting and push to the directory, LgHome, LGeasyhome, and lg backup launcher. set permission and reboot. now lg launcher FC, lol. i've already made a backup of those original apk/odex and restoring them. looks like we need experience porter since copy paste method didnt work.

I am happy to see people are reading and participating in development! That's what this place is about right?
Thank you for the words!
I would like to know if anyone can confirm any of the v30 apps work and if so which ones?
I only ask because I believe the v30 is running UX6 and wouldn't thing many of any apps would work for our older version UI.
I am sure the UX6 port rom would have better luck, but I am not sure since I haven't looked much into this.
Anyways, like I said, glad to see people making backups amd experimenting with different things!
Good job guys!
Btw, how did you create the backup? Just copied the files to a know location and tranger back via recovery or adb?
Or did you create a flashable zip?
If you don't have a flashable zip for easy recovery let me know and I cam send you a template zip and quick instructions on how to create the zip in seconds from your phone.
nahh.. i had no idea about making flashable backup even adb seems little hard for me. for testing launcher i've installer third party launcher and make a copy of everything inside /system folder. and put it back once i messed something

That is one way, however can get very time intense if you are changing out a batch of files with libs, xml etc.
For that I like the zip method. I have went ahead and written a quick tutorial for how to create the flashable zip and uploaded my zip template so you or anyone who needs it.
Check this post.
Good luck and feel free to reply in that thread for any questions
Has anyone tried v30's music player?
Does it has any improvement against v20's?
So do any of these apps work? Anybody tried them?
