Bypassing Airwatch restrictions on download mode - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

I am trying to root an Airwatch managed SM-T820.
As a first step, I was trying to unlock the bootloader and start the tab in download mode.
1. I went to Settings>Developer Options> OEM Unlock
2. Entered the PIN and unlocked OEM lock.
3. Shut down the tablet, booted it again by pressing Power+ Volume Down + Home
4. Pressed confirmation for the warning with 'Volume Up'
5. It greeted me with the following error
'Binary download mode blocked by MDM, Device will restart now.'
Is there a way to go further, without removing the MDM restrictions imposed by the Airwatch MDM from the Airwatch side.

I doubt it. The device must be a company owned device and there's a reason they put AirWatch on it. And if you could root it AirWatch would probably detect it anyway.

Root detection is not a concern, bypassing OEM unlock restriction is
I forgot to mention that this is a test device and Airwatch is also managed by me. I am brainstorming of options to bypass the OEM lock controls enforced by AirWatch. Whether AirWatch's root detection detects that the phone is non-compliant is not a concern here.

You can likely delete the file that controls the lock screen code in recovery, this is assuming that with root you also have a custom recovery. Using TWRP's file explorer navigate to data/system/gesture.key and delete it. Reboot. Done.

How To Remove Pattern Lock Without Data Loss
Have You Forgot Your Android Phone pattern lock and searching for a genuine method To Remove Lock from your device Without data loss?
There are lot’s of Article about Removing Pattern Lock over the internet but you have risk of losing your data, but not to worry now, Today I will to share an ultimate method on How To Remove Pattern Lock Without Data Loss
So before we start ,We need To understand how Pattern lock works and how can we crack it,..
So there is a file in our mobile’s System storage which Constance the pattern lock,Simply if we Remove/delete that file we can Unlock our Phone without data loss.
So Let’s Start Cracking The Pattern Lock-
There are many Ways to Crack The pattern lock….
Remove Pattern Lock When ADB is on-
First you need to check is there ADB (android debugging bridge) option enabled in phone or not. For checking it You need to connect your phone to pc with usb cable after connecting if you able to see a android icon on your mobile phone status bar that means ADB is enable in your phone and you can Easily Remove your pattern lock
If ADB option is not ON in Your phone Don’t be sad There is another way to crack it in the next part of this article.
So after you have checked and confirmed that ADB is enabled in Your phone Follow these steps to REMOVE YOUR PATTERN LOCK-
Download the driver and android multi tool from Here-
Install the driver and connect your phone via usb cable.
Open android multi tool You will see something like this.
Press 2 for removing PIN LOCK and 3 for PATTERN LOCK then press ENTER.
After pressing ENTER it will reboot Your phone and voila You have successfully removed your PIN or Pattern Lock.
If You seeing LOCK again Don’t be panic enter random(koi bhi) pattern/pin and it will unlock ,don’t forgot to remove pattern lock permanently from setting.
How To REMOVE PATTERN LOCK IF ADB IS NOT ENABLE-
Cracking Pattern lock without adb is little Tricky and difficult,For Removing Pattern Lock We are going to use “AROMA FILE MANAGER”.
Aroma file manager is a file manager that can directly executed From CWM Recovery(Custom Recovery),And we can delete Password file from Mobile, to unlock our phone. So We need to install CWM recovery in our mobile phone for running Aroma file manager but unfortunately all devices have their different method to install it, which is based on their CPU type. So before proceeding further You need to install CWM recovery in your phone ,just google it “How to install CWM recovery in ‘your mobile name’ ” .
Tip-If You have SAMSUNG mobile you can install recovery from ODIN TOOL ,simply download CWM recovery image for your device and flash it.
if You have MEDIATEK/MTK CPU based mobile you can flash recovery with the help of “SP FLASH TOOL”,
After Installing CWM Recovery in your smart phone download AROMA FILE MANAGER from here.
Now follow the steps below -
Download aroma file manager from here
Paste AROMAFILEMANAGER.zip in root of your micro sd-card.(Do not unzip the file).
Insert Micro-sd card in your device.
Reboot it to CWM Recovery by pressing volume down+power key.
go to mount and storage and mount all partitions.( use vol +/- key for up and down and Power key for select).
Come back in main menu.
Choose Install zip from sd card–>choose zip from sd card–>select aromafilemanager.zip–> Yes-install aromafilemanager.zip
After Selecting “Yes” the aroma file manager will run and you will see something like this-
now go in DATA/SYSTEM and delete “gesture.key”(if u have pattern lock) or delete “password.key”(if you have pin lock).
That’s it Now just reboot your Phone and Enter some random pin or pattern to unlock your phone.
Hope You Enjoy My First Post,If you Face Any Problem or did not able to install CWM recovery in your phone just comment your device model I will help you.
Thanks??

is there any way enable usb debug from Stock Recovery ?

Hello,
I have Samsung A5 2017, my cell has virus attack and every minute it restart automatically, all things are stocks so not able to reflash, reset device
is there any way usb debugging enabled from recovery/download mode ?
Not adb, but hold volume down while the phone is starting. A watermark will appear, "Safe Mode", the "virus", if not a root exploit, will not load and you could uninstall it. Also remove it from the device administrators & accessibility settings. If it doesn't work, hold volume up. If it doesn't work, press and hold the menu/recents key when the "SAMSUNG" logo and the brightness changes.

If you know your Google account details and you don't mind losing all your data reset your device.
It's unlikely it has compromised the system partition unless you were rooted.
If you were rooted then you may as well just wipe data with twrp.
Failing that reinstall the stock firmware.
nothing worked, i think virus at boot level, because can able to enter stock recovery, after factory reset result is same, tried with safe mode, but not work, not able to connect internet and reset device because it turn only 50 Seconds and rebooted, if i tried with odin than got error - FRP Lock, i also tried google device reset from web but it required internet connection on phone , so this option also not worked

If you have installed the correct firmware with odin and factory reset and your device still has issues then your problem is not related to a virus. More likely a hardware issue.

May be, but when i tried to install Custom Recovery CWM, TWRP it gaves message - custom binary blocked by frp lock
If i tried same firmware - then stuck without any reason - log say - recovery.img cancelled
why i think this is virus because i enabled usb debug and after auto reboot again its shows disabled , even i change wallpaper and reboot its showing same old wallpaper, means anything i do after 50 seconds revert back as it is, one kind device is locked

You can't install anything custom until OEM UNLOCK is enabled in settings.
Install the stock firmware with odin then factory reset in stock recovery.
You will need to enter your Google account details once the device has fully booted to disable FRP.

Yes, i tried , but not successes, after complete reboot i get 50 Seconds only, in this time period i can only enable usb debug, but when i enabled OEM unlock option, its automatically turn off without any error, and device reboot, so neither able to uninstall anything nor accessing via adb because 50 seconds its too less
even i connect with pc and try to format phone memory , after reboot all deleted file again available, even renamed files back to with same name

Forget about USB debugging it's not going to help you right now. I would try enabling OEM UNLOCK and then immediately power down the device BEFORE it reboots.

try to update and see if it there
important point. after confirming the desire to unlock and clear data, the bootloader really(!) unlocks only after the initial settings and when you see the gray immutable "OEM unlock" switch in the developer menu.
If you didn't see this item the first time, you need to enable the Internet and update the security policies, and at the same time disable them immediately.
This is the only reason for the appearance of the red inscription "only official ..." and this is the way to switching "rmm state" from prenormal to cheking.

I think you are booting your phone into bootloader mode.
You do not have to boot your phone into bootloader mode, instead you have to boot in Odin mode. For that, switch off your SAMSUNG phone. Afterwards, press both volume buttons and insert the data cable into your phone simultaneously. (Note: your device should be of samsung otherwise the Odin application will not recognize your device. Your data cable should be connected to pc to enter Odin mode). Then a blue coloured screen will appear. You have click the volume up button once and you will enter Odin mode.
Thanks!

LG K40 bootloader unlock

I just received an LG K40 and wanted to root it or potentially install a custom OS.
Unfortunately, it forced me to update upon resetting the device, which locked me out of being able to use mtk-su, the most viable root method. I regained hope upon seeing that I was able to tick "Enable OEM Unlocking" from the developer options, so it would be easy to unlock the bootloader.
For some reason, it seems like LG has completely disabled fastboot mode on this phone. If I hold down volume down and power at boot, I get LG's horrible stripped down recovery which is only a factory reset dialog. If I do the same but with volume up, the phone boots normally. If I hold down volume up with the phone off then plug in USB, I get to LG's download mode which can only be used to flash stock ROMs with their proprietary Windows-only software. With volume down, I get the "low power" screen that I would get if the phone's battery was dead.
These combinations are not documented anywhere and I have compiled them from various random sites and people from all across the web. I have tried many drivers, running adb reboot bootloader (which just reboots back to Android), and every possible combination of keys, but I cannot get to an environment where fastboot can be run.
Does anybody know of a method by which I can unlock the bootloader without using fastboot (OEM unlocking is enabled)? Or at least an alternative root method for this device not involving recovery or fastboot? This is a very tough issue to tackle.
there is a long outdated method to force (hidden) fastboot by erasing LAF partition, but I guess fastboot is meanwhile removed entirely so this would most likely just brick.
however you could try to unlock from mtkclient (should able to by-pass MediaTek Secure Boot)
Code:
python3 mtk da seccfg unlock

The steps are outlined in this section of the README. The only difference is you should use stock Magisk instead of the outdated Chinese fork they used (the changes in that fork have been in upstream Magisk for a while now).
