Edit : SOLVED(Nougat) !!!
Steps : I deleted the custom config lines from system/etc/thermal-engine.conf
And
Replaced system/vendor/bin/thermal engine file with one from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/workaround-network-lost-temperature-t3686769

That is your mobile carrier issue.
No . im not experiencing ping issues from the same sim card put into another mobile and getting network via hotspot. That way i get 180~ ms ping.
But on mobile network, same sim, firstly ping is about 200~ . After a while it jumps to 960~ ms and stays there... I've tested more than two games amd issues ls still there.
I think its the lte modem of rn4 is not that great
i have the exact same issue. It's really annoying.

Please someone help me.. the problem haven't solved in my RN4.. I've tried many things, nothing happened, but this issue is not happening in miui.. But I don't like it..I want to revert back to custom ROMs.. anyone help me!!

I'm posting my question here, since i can't reply on the original thread.
Currently i'm running Elelinux-7.1-Hero-v3.6 (custom) on my HTC Hero.
First off all, great job and thank you so much for keeping the hero alive!!
Tried a lot of different roms and this one leaves the others far behind!
I do however have a small problem with wifi. The device is not "finding" my home network. It does find other networks in the area, and i have been able to log in on a friends network. But it doesnt find this particular one. Other devices (laptops, desktops) are able to connect to it, so i dont think that the issue lies with the network.
Previously i was running elelinux FROYO_2.2.1_Final_Android_Stock (special edition) and did not have this problem.
Is there anyone with the same/a similar problem? Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?
Dont know if it matters, its an assus N-router.

Have you tried to click "Add a wifi network" in the (empty) list of available networks to define SSID and security setting manually?

Check if u can detect other wifi networks wit ur fone if not try a different rom,since u want something as stable as else's try herodeck...
If it does detect other wifi networks,check if ur home wifi is hidden or reset it...

I have the same ROM and I don't have any problems with wi-fi. Maybe there is an issue with the 802.11n compatibility. Are you able to force the AP into b/g mode?

i had the same problem so adjusted router to use B/G mode only and works fine now
maybe your WiFi is on one of the odd japanes channels 52 or so, make sure your choose something between channel1 and 11 in the 2,4Ghz Band

Didnt have to change from N to b/g
But tried Taknil's solution and changed channel from auto to somewhere between 1 and 11 in the 2.4 Ghz band (router went up to 13)

Have you tried different wi-fi networks?
This sounds like your wifi network -or at least it's internet connection- is restrictively filtered through a firewall.
Are you by any chance in a corporate, university or otherwise managed/shared network?
no i am using my house wifi
everything works fine like facebook ap gmail browsing etc all
but drop box and s voice only working on mobile data
no there is no filter

I had the opposite problem. Non http apps would only work on wifi and not hspa. I just changed my apn settings and it fixed it. So I can only imagine it's a network issue, not letting certain ports through maybe.

Hey everyone. Im having bit of a problem. Today my wifi network disconected for a couple of seconds. Than it worked again. Evrything is connected exept for my phone. it was able to connect to it earlyer. I already contacted my internet provider and they said they couldn't do anything about it. (they gave me the usual steps like reset your router and stuff, didnt work) My phone wont even show the network on my screen. it is able to see other networks (but not connect cuz i dont know the password of my neighbors). Im running honor 5x w ressurection remix and twrp. i just flashed my rom to it yesterday, do you maybe think this has something to do with it?
I hope someone can help me.

Are you certain your home network's 2.4Ghz range is working properly? Remember the Honor 5x cannot use/see 5Ghz wifi
So for anyone who is having this problem and might have read this for help, this is how i fixed it. Go onto your network settings (you can probably find it somewhere on your provider page) and change your wifi router chanel to either 1,6,or11 (those are most stable but others will work too). If that didn't fix it than i dont know what will.

But the connection is very slow
I can't t make a messenger call every single time it tells me call failed and in the upper right the connection is bad .

Another problem..
Today I just wanted to send a video by WhatsApp
To one of my friends and the video was too small
But I waited for 30mnts and it didn't arrive to my friend and it is still uploading . And this video in normal it takes just approximately 1 mnt so what is the reason for this issue

Yes, wifi is a problem in nougat custom roms, when there's no separate SSID for 2.4 and 5ghz. Wifi disconnects when signal switches between different bands. You can solve that by making separate SSID's (you need access to the router).
Since I got the latest update (MIUI 11.0.2.0), my phone does not connect to mobile internet anymore.
It connects to the regular network (I can make and receive phone calls), but I never have a mobile data connection...
Multiple reboots and another new installation of the update did not solve the problem.
Through the Feedback-option, I contacted Xiaomi twice, but I didn't get any answer.
Does anybody in here experience the same problem? Or is there anybody being able to help me?
If not I fear I have to try to downgrade...
My phone is a Redmi 5 Plus
