Is there a way to root honor 9 under Oreo and EMUI 8 (honor official rom) ?
I'm frp and bootloader unlock
My goal just delete some usefull apps (gmail, youtube, gmaps and others)

I installed magisk manager it says ok (green tick)
But i found nothing in SU list . . . don't understand why.
How can i get MagiskSU now ?

Hello!
I recently tried to add the Google Assistant on my phone.
I tried to put the Google App and Google Play Services in beta mode.
I tried giving all the accesses, puting my default voice assistant to Google App.
Whatever I do, saying ''OK Google'' doesn't work and when I long press the middle button, HiVoice pops up, which is not what I want.
Can someone help?
PS: I am not rooted and cannot root because of the 14 days issue.
You can unlock your bootloader without a 14 day wait, after you register, use the english site to login and enter your required device info to recieve your unlock code, thete us a few threads here on it. The only way to get Google Assistant to my knowledge is to use a custom rom, or be rooted using exposed assistant module.

Try to disable HiVoice.

Currently bootloader unlocking website is not working properly it is not giving the unlock code it says error even for correct details many of us are waiting to get it fixed.
Have you tried it any recent and if yes and if you have got succeeded pls post the guide for us so that we might try again.

I know you normaly can, but some phone, like mine, have a bug which give us the ''The huawei ID hasn't bla bla bla 14 days'', whatever we do...
But thnak, I'll try it when I will be rooted.

Magisk is a application which is used to root your device.
In addition to root it has ability to install other modules with different functionality which makes it to be preferable choice.
You can even pass root check mechanism by Magisk.

I need help, i try to install STF-L09C432B150 and STF-L09C432B180 with FF, i can download and install the update but when the honor 9 reboot to install the update, i got this : "software install failed"

1 - For this method to work you first need to unlock the bootloader or at least obtain the unlock code. That is explained in threads Unlock bootloader HONOR 9 and [Guide] How to get Bootloader unlock Code easily through Chinese site. - DONE
2 - Enable the USB debugging mode in the Developer options. - DONE
3 - Download the file HWOTA.zip and unpack it to the root of your system. - DONE
4 - Download the 3 files
update_data_full_public.zip - DONE
update_full_STF-L09_hw_eu.zip - DONE
update.zip - ALMOST 70%

Try this, create following folders in the sdcard, and put your ringtones there, reboot and check
/media/audio/ringtones
I don't own a Huawei P20, but I have a Huawei device, when you install Xposed takes between 15-20 mins to load the system, so don't worry, but if doesn't work, reinstall the system

It wasn't the same?
I have installed this recovery via fastboot following the instructions of the thread that is now blocked. My problem is that all the folders with very strange names appear and I cannot access them. Previously I was wondering if I wanted to decrypt and put my pin and it worked. Now he doesn't ask me anything and I don't get that option. Someone would be so kind to help me .... Thanks in advance.

You need to format data with lrtwrp to decrypt if you want proper names
to make it permanent, how do you do it or can't twrp?

What did you do between "previously" an "now"?
That could lead us to understand what to do...
Like you explain you are forced to format data and loose your data as well.
You can escape from this in case of very important unsaved one by flashing the last eu rom via OTG or external SDcard.

This is stock rom?
Root via TWRP option might not work because of boot protection.
Best is to move to EU 11.08 rom. You be able to root via twrp and install YT vanced.

Surprise that Youtube Vance via Magisk download is no longer I can find them during from with-in Magisk Manager ---> Module --> download.
Glad I have a zip copy from few of my old phone I can copy to my new device Redmi Note 9 Pro and it is now installed & seems working properly.
Just to report this as strange from my device Magisk Manager canot download Vance Module .

Whats the advantage of installing YT vance through magisk, i install it through normal way (apk) and it seems works fine.
