One day out of sudden while using the phone causally, I found out that the touch isn't recognized in the middle column of the screen
I tried to take it to all the local shops but I couldn't find a replacement screen
Is there anything else i could possibly do?
Or should I just buy a new phone?

Hi,
i bought a used mda via ebay and got it yesterday.
First thing i noticed was that the touchscreen didnt work right... i somhow managed to get through the calibration tool that poops up if i turn the device on. After that the touchscreen worked really good for 1 day and then suddenly it stopped working completely...
Anyone had this problem before and can give me some advice ?? I already got a 20e refund but i want to try to repair the device instead of selling it as broken.
And another question i have: Can i use the wm 2003se on a german device ??
Thank you
Seraptin
Edit: got it repaired myself... I opened the device and cleaned everything... there is still some dirt between the glass and the screen.. if anyone knows how to remove the glass to clean that, im listening But i dont think thats possible anyway.
my screen is broken
Hi,
Glad to read that you have repaired it yourself. I just dropped mine on the floor yesterday and the screen is broken. Touch screen still works but the screen is cracked and I can see a black spot. I wish someone can help me purchase a new screen. I would try to install it myself.

hi there, i recently changed my screen on my HTC G2, (the previous screen was cracked when it was given to me, and would cut me while i was trying to use it, and Tmobile refused to help with the problem at all, and the repair shops around where i live are charging an arm and a leg to do the repair, i am a college student and can not afford a $60 repair on a free phone) ANYWAY... the problem i am having is: where when i had the cracked screen the home, menu, back, and search screen buttons all worked FINE, now that i have changed the screen those touch buttons do not work at all. this has rendered my phone useless and i still can not afford to take it somewhere to get it fixed nor can i afford to buy more parts for this phone, and i can not buy another phone.
what should i do? is there a way to fix this problem? please help before i lose work because of a problem phone.
same problem :s
Hi im new to this forum.
a friend of mine gave me there samsung galaxy mega GT-19205 to try and repair. What they have done is dropped it and damaged the outside glass and the touch screen itself. They brought the parts to repair and followed a youtube video to replace it all. However when the phone turns on and starts up the touch screen does not respond to any touch. I have tried dismantling it and putting it back together just in case there was a loose connection but no luck.
I have done a google search but only get places trying to sell me replacement parts, not solutions to the problem. I even tried doing a youtube search but I only found tutorials how to replace the touch screen, and the only video i found was a video which show the exact same problem as this phone but no solution. however i cant post a link as i am a new user
Can anyone offer me any help

One of 2 things has happened then - the fall damaged a touch sensor on the motherboard, or more likely, the part is bad. I'd see what the return policy is on it.

I just got done replacing my broken screen on my LG G3. I replaced the whole front panel and just transfered the guts. Everything checked out fine after replacement until i typed my first text message. row A-L will not goto screen unless I touch nearly inbetween the middle of the row beneath it. q-p work fine as well as z-m. What really has me boggled is that the screen accepts touches there in virtually every other app/drawing. Just the keyboards aren't allowing touch in that specfic row. any suggestion?
Found a few more bad section.. Pulled the back loudspeaker back out and tried reseating the cables and still had same issue. They're sending a replacement for free.
This was my first screen replacement, but not my first time dealing with small ribbon cables. All cameras function fine, hoping it was a defect in screen and not my screen changing abilities.. Any tips for the next one would be appreciated. Would like to have a fully functioning phone again sometime. This is nearly more frustrating than the broken screen.
I am having same Issue

Hey just curious if your issue has been resolved.... I am having same issue, but i took mine to a computer store i have been dealing with for years. about a year ago they started doing cell phone repairs as well. I had them replace my cracked screen on my LG G3 and that same row of text if off for me and there are a few other spots i have noticed are off as well .... very frustrating... Anyway the place I took it to has replaced 3 screens hoping they were getting defective parts.... they just called to tell me I can come get it but they were unable to repair the dead spots without going further into replacing boards or something.... I dont know... It is weird though cause you can get the dead spots to work sometimes by very lightly touching or just touching it in just the right spots like a calibration if off....

A review on G3 LCD's on Amazon reports the same problem "I installed the screen and immediately my wife mentioned that it seemed to have "dead spots" when she was texting / playing games. I noticed it myself when I tried texting myself as a test. Several of the letters on the keyboard just wouldn't register very well. She went into the settings and ran the "motion sensor calibration" test under general settings>gestures. This has resolved the touch screen issues. "
I don't see how that would fix it but I guess it's worth a shot.
