I noticed if you have more than 3 notifications the status bar only shows 3 of them followed by a "..."
All that real estate and it doesn't allow more. Is there a setting I'm missing or is that just how it is?

If you go in to Settings/display/status bar you will find an option to remove "Show only 3..."
Good luck! :victory:

When I swipe down to view the notification bar, everything shifts. The whole page shrinks and adds black bars to the side. On the video I watched about Themer, when he swiped down the notification bar smoothly came down ontop of the page. Not sure if I am missing a setting or if that is just how it is.
Screenshot would be nice

In the first image everything is fine.
Second image I swiped down to show notification bar and everything shifts and it adds black bars to the side.
Third image is when I hide the notification bar and somethings are still shifted.
We're working on themes that have the notification bar built in. Right now most of them hide it for a clean look, but you can gesture down to open it temporarily, and gesture up to hide it again

That is what I am doing. But in doing the gesture down to show the notification bar, it shifts the items on the page. I like that it is hidden and the gesture down and up to show/hide it. Just hoping it was a bit smoother and just overlapping on the page instead of shifting everything.

Looking at your screenshots, it looks like you have a modified notification bar. On stock devices, when you gesture down, the notification bar "floats" on top of the theme briefly and does not mess up the alignment. Try restoring your notification bar to stock configuration and you might have better results.

I had a mod for the status bar and I got rid of it and it works fine. Thanks!
Hey TrueSmart users. For those of us that use Nova Launcher by default - the status bar doesn't show in any app besides a few seconds in app transitions. I've tried "always show" status bar apps, gestures, Xposed modifications, etc - still nothing. It's like our status bar is a different species of status bars... Anyone have any luck (or not have this problem at all with Nova)? I'm curious to know.
For any launcher other than what comes on the watch you have to use swipe status bar and enable "alternative mode".

I mentioned that in another thread, it's a bit of a pain because it blocks part of the screen for clicks. Ehhh....
Until somebody pretty much rewrites the UI/Framework it's all we got.

Open swipe status bar. scroll down to "Try it". move the slider for area poition and area width all the way to the right, adjust sensitivity all the way to the left. this reduces the non-clickacble area to a sliver and i've not encountered it interfering with anything.
Is there anyway to limit the number of notifications displayed at the top of the screen to around 8? I got icons stacking in behind my clock and it makes seeing the time near impossible at times
Only option on the phone is Settings, Display, Status Bar, Show recent notifications only.

Hello. How can I hide the battery percentage in the notification bar?
https://i.imgur.com/Lt1Y5FP.jpg
Go to settings/ notifications/ status bar
There should be a setting to turn battery percent off on s10 devices
Sent from my SM-G975W using Tapatalk
The notification bar has an independent battery appearance from this option. See for yourself if you have s10.
Did you make it friend?

From your home window :
- scroll down twice to expend the quick settings panel
- click on three dots button
- click on "Status bar"
- disable "Show battery percentage" from this menu
- done, enjoy !

That's from the statusbar and not the notification area.
Pic attached for clarity; Everybody knows how to get rid of the battery icon/percentage in the status bar.... can the percent in the notifications be removed? The method for the status bar does not work here.
Life out there.
Any update on this problem? I got S10e and the percentage is always showing after scrolling down the notification bar. I found no option to disable that percentage. There's only the usual "Show battery percentage" that is already disabled. Attached percentage after scrolling.
Wipe
Not sure why you wish disable it as long as it doesn't show otherwise... it's harmless.
I have all header icons disabled so I simply pull down notifications if I need the battery level.
So I'm coming from a pixel 6 pro to the galaxy s23 ultra. It's my first Samsung phone so I'm still getting familiar with the Samsung flavor of Android.
Is there a way to hide/not display an apps persistent notification icon from the status bar? I use a diabetic monitoring app(xdrip+) which has to always be running for obvious reasons. The app produces a graph which is always visible when I pull down the notification bar, I like that peice and want to keep it. However having the icon displayed in the status bar at all times is an eye sore.
On the pixel (and previously my oneplus 7 pro) I could set the notification to "silent" and it would hide the icon but would still display the graph in the notification bar. I can't find a way to mirror that on my galaxy s23. I can disable the persistent notification all together, but then I lose access to the handy graph.
When the notification shade is down and all notifications are visible you tap and hold the notification you want to change and after a moment a few options will appear and you tap settings and it takes you yo settings for that notification

I tried that, and setting it to "silent" didn't do anything sadly. I also tried disabling the notification entirely but that sadly made the graph go away as well.

At the bottom tap notification categories and go through there

Ahhhhh thank you. I fooled around a bit in there before but didn't realize that there were sub options within sub options. Thank you so much for the help, I'm now able to hide the icon.
