Hey everyone,
I'm having a weird issue with my Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 (Android 7.0, rooted with SuperSU). When i set a screen lock (pattern, pincode or password), I get a delay on my lockscreen. If I draw my pattern, it gets stuck for a couple of seconds and then it unlocks. Same with pincode or password; if I put in my pincode/password and click ok, it also gets stuck and unlocks a little later. Sometimes it gets stuck for so long that my phone locks automatically, it's really frustrating. When you go to settings and change the screen lock, you have to give your current screen lock. It also gets stuck on that when I put in my current pattern/pincode/password. But when I choose a swipe lock, it doesn't have this problem. Maybe it has to do with the authentication of the pattern/pincode/password? I have no idea. Can someone help me out?
Best regards

Hi,
I was facing an issue with the Samsung Vibrant T959. It use to take @ 15 to 20 min for booting.
I tried different things but no luck. Today I found the solution / reason for the long boot time.
On my phone Screen lock PIN and SIM Lock PIN both are configured and while booting it use to vibrate and take long time.
I have disabled both the PIN check and phone reboot in just 1-2 min.
I tried to set only Screen Lock PIN and still is was booting in 1-2 min, then I tried only SIM lock PIN and it was booting in 1-2 min.
But if I enable both SIM Lock PIN and Screen lock PIN then it takes @ 15-20 min to
boot.
Have anyone faced this kind of problem?
Yes. It's a glitch in the stock vibrant firmware.

Im having problem changing my screen lock to Pin code lock. I change my lock using PIN Lock but it doesn't work after going back. I lock my Note then the stock screen lock keeps showing up. I use this PIN Lock before on my Galaxy Tab and never had issue. I also tried the other lock but still wont work. Anyone else having the same issue???
I was used to using No Lock on my previous Android 2.3 phone:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock
Always worked flawlessly.
On my SGS III however there is an annoying side effect.
I tried it with a Pattern Lock and also a PIN lock.
With one of these active, and then telling No Lock to disable the lock, I can succesfully turn the screen back on without going through the lock. Great for car or desk use.
However as soon as I then select something from the Notifications pulldown, the Pattern or PIN lock suddenly pops up! It is like it was already running in the background, and then became activated or something.
I tried various alternative apps, such as Impel (with a script), No Lock Screen (with Only when charging), Auto Unlock Trial Edition... but all exhibited the same problem. Some would even change the Home button into a 'Show The Lock Screen" button... even worse!
I wonder if this is specific for Samsung, or SGS III, or ICS.
So, has anybody got a clue... or a fix?
I think it's an ICS thing... I've been using Delayed Lock for over a year and IIRC when ICS came out, this problem was present, however it was fixed by the dev. The other thing is that for DL to work on ICS using an unlock pattern, it needs to go in the system/apps but didn't need to on GB.

Thanks, I'll give Delayed Lock a try.
In the mean time, still open for other suggestions and/or deeper insights into this matter!
You can just disable the lock screen in the security menu, no? I used the rooted image and Odin to root my phone but I thought the image was all stock and I have the option to have no lock.
Hey guys - I have a lock screen question I'm hoping you can help me with.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 (AT&T) with stock (but rooted) Android 4.2.2. I have the lock screen set with a pattern unlock. I set a 3 minute delay on the unlock (i.e. it won't ask me to unlock via the pattern until 3 minutes have passed since the screen turned off). However, when I turn the screen on during the 3 min period, I get a different unlock screen that just asks for a swipe to unlock. What I want is: if past the 3 min period, it should go to the pattern unlock, but if within the 3 min period, it should just open back up to the last screen I was looking at.
I previously used CM9 and it behaved as desired. Does anyone know how I can achieve the same thing using the stock rom?
Thanks for all your help.
Hello.
I have Pocophone F1 Global with the preinstalled 9.6.14.0(OEJMIFD). I have never updated it, I haven't rooted it, I haven't unlocked the bootloader. And I think I haven't restarted the phone for like 2 months.
Since the beginning I've set up Lock screen with pattern, Privacy lock with pattern and Fingerprints.
Everything was working fine for a few months. I could unlock the screen with the pattern or the fingerprint. But now all of the sudden the pattern unlock doesn't work anymore!
Whenever I try to unlock it using the correct pattern, the Lock screen simply reloads and asks me to input the pattern again. If I try an incorrect pattern, then it will say that the pattern is incorrect and that I should try again.
Luckily the fingerprint works, so I am able to unlock the phone. Unfortunately, I cannot reset the current lock pattern, because it asks me for the old lock pattern, which it doesn't accept.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
How can I fix this?
Can I reset the lock pattern?
Can I remove the lock pattern?
Thank you.
