hi everyone, i have researched on this for hours and idk what to do.. I am using KIW-AL10 chinese version. It recently got updates to MM with EMUI 4.0.1. i installed TWRP. made the full backup wiped all the partitions and installed cm 13 but it is stuck in bootloop. It reaches the CM bootup screen but reboots. i reflashed my stock MM and tried again but no use. The stock firmware is B430. I even tried flashing the boot.img again but no use. Please guide me in how can i install custom roms. I tried cm 14.1 also but same results. Thanks for the help

hey, so i am running lolipop B254. and when i try to update to MM B419, it fails at about 15 to 20%. i read on some chinese firmware that it needs to be on B419. Its an OTA update and i have made a dload folder in my sd card and copied to update.zip file. but it fails everytime. what could be the problem?

In case somebody in this thread is interested in a solution, I managed to install LineageOS on a Honor 5X KIW-AL10 with the latest stock firmware KIW-AL10C92B437.
Once you have unlocked the bootloader, flash TWRP with adb, you need to flash Lineage OS & a zip that will fix the loop (see: https://jira.lineageos.org/browse/BUGBASH-222?attachmentViewMode=list). I used Fix_boot(422+).zip. Voilà!

I can't be more clear than that. I had MIUI 12.5 xiaomi.eu stable, with TWRP, downloaded MIUI 13 beta China(in zip file), flashed it on top of the current firmware. Then I had MIUI13 beta china with TWRP...but switched to stock recovery due to fastboot rom xiaomi.eu weekly and lack of zip roms.

These roms are the roms provided by Xiaomi, 100% original.
You can check the hash without any problem.
You should via OTA go to V13.1.6.0.SLZCNXM or V13.1.7.0.SLZCNXM but sometimes no OTA.
If you install the latest use Miflash with a Fastboot rom or downloaded the rom and manually update it via OTA.
What makes you say it's a custom rom?

Nope, this version is intended only for the Chinese market.
Trying to view an AOSP rom like Lineage
If your OEM unlocked download the tgz from xiaomi firmware updater and boot to fastboot with the little commie bunny and to ./flash_all.sh on Linux then fastboot -w and fastboot reboot. Don't do flash_all_lock.sh otherwise you'll OEM lock the device.

I don't recommend using a rom outside of the rom made by the OEM. Also DO NOT USE LINUX BUILT IN FASTBOOT FROM DEBIAN/UBUNTU REPOS IT'LL BRICK IT! download the Google ones from the website instead.

Try out Lineage OS, or a pixel experience GSI. It runs well.
